Really like were you're going with this project, for me it mixes two things i like: offroad and these classic cars. Awesome! Congratulations and keep posting these tasteful videos, great job!
Great car! How much degree did you lift the porsche in the end, after the two readjustments at the rear achsle? Did you use the Original shock absorber and mounting points at the rear Achsle, or dou you have to build some kind of Adapters to compensate for the extra spacing? Thanks!
I got an ominous feeling from this video. The editing, the car, the atmosphere, the lack of music, the constant metal clanging throughout the video. Great stuff 👌
did you have any problems with positive camber after installing the strut spacers? im getting some 2" ones made for my 76. actually my car looks identical to yours!
Two things here: Those are actually modified dog-belts with a few custom additions to either end, took a couple hours to make. Secondly, you‘d need very small C-channels inside the hatch to secure the upper part of the poptop and those have to be custom made, bent and glued in too (that is the really sh‘t part).
Aaah those - guess the answer was pretty elaborate for no reason. 🤓 The spacers are custom made by one of our sponsors based on a CAD file I made up from an old strut. I don‘t know however if the measurements are the exact same 24 to 44.
ive reindexed the torsions with the axle in the car several times. why did you guys remove it? it looks like you have a 79, is there something unique about the snailshell gearbox that requires it?
76/77 have a different rear axle the entire rest. From 78 onwards it‘s the same basic axle all the way to the 968. And that needs to be taken out for proper adjustment. ✌🏼

You cinematic shots and editing are so good!! 🙌🏻

Hammer Projekt! Auch sehr geil, was du für car skills hast! 💪💪💪
I love that build. I've been planning a Subaru Forester build, and Front Runner gear is just the niiiicest stuff. One day!
Brilliant project!
Awesomeness!!

Really loving this!
Great job! Both video and the car
Where did you purchase the aluminum spacers for the fronts?
William Erlandson was wondering the same thing pls awnser this oartaway! 👆👆👆👆
I had them custom made. ✌🏼
Only A Roadtrip Away dang I’ve been trying to find them. I’ll have to look into a CNC near me. Thanks
Cooles Video.
Also ja, aber…
Love it!

Nope, still within adjustment specs.
Hi!
Could you share the 3d file please? It would save a lot of work 😊. Thank you!

* Of the front suspension spacers.
What is the referenced “invaluable tool”?
Battery powered impact.

May I ask how you attached the mud flaps?
Bolts on the leading edges. Not ideal but had to be quick.
Where can I get myself a pair of those strut spacers? I want to do the same thing with my 1983 944. Thank you

I mean the front strut spacers. The ones made from aluminum. To lift the front suspension. Thank you.

I believe they are the same bolt pattern for the 924 and 944. After all, they are the same chassis. I'd gladly buy a set from you.
We can‘t supply, but I can help out with the file that any machine should be able to work with.

What year is yours?
@@OnlyARoadtripAway ive done it on a 76 and two 77's. ive also done a few later ones but those are totally different.

It could be a good TH-cam channel. Nice story, I don’t want to see your face all the time. Sorry passed.
