You are my sewing inspiration- I want to make everything I see you in- haha! ! I absolutely love everything you make and your fabric choices are so beautiful! So excited for you and your family’s upcoming adventure! I am certain you will find awesome fabrics in Spain and when you return you will still have all your timeless fabrics waiting for You! Please take us along on your adventure so we can live vicariously through you!😍❤️
Lisa I admire your get up and go attitude. I would be so overwhelmed with moving house that sewing would take a back seat. I love your attitude and I know if the time allows you all the task you set yourself will get done. I am cheering for you girl. Let's go Lisa let's go😀⛹🏽🥋🏆🎊🎊🎉🎎🎊🎊🎉🏘
These are beautiful & colorful, perfect for Spain! While I adore my Kalle dress and shirt, they are more elaborate and slow process projects. The jumpsuit, Roscoe, and the Charlie, can more easily be made a few times each and you can sew them even quicker the second time. It's not even the button holes, which are really not hard, it's the two-piece collar, the many pieces to cut and interface, plackets and pockets, just many details that slow the process. I would save the more involved projects for when you want to get into a longer project after settling in Spain. I agree about some lightweight trousers though, those look great for everyday wear. I reach for loose linen pants in the summer a lot. I am making a test pair of the Palisade pants right now. Good luck getting more sewing done before you leave!!
Enjoy both worlds! Take enough to keep you going til you get into the fabric groove in Spain! Such a cute top you are wearing today! I think it's a great idea to shorten the jumpsuit! And, yes! I was up late last night sewing! I love the greige linen! Can't wait to see what you do with it! I'm loving *all* the fabrics that you have!
I'm sure you will find lots of lovely fabrics when you get to Spain. Your first top in this vlog is my favorite - even with the sleeves you say are too short. It looks great to me.
Exciting times ahead for you and your family. I am always thinking about sewing, especially at night. What will I see next, how can I use that piece of fabric etc. It goes with the territory I guess. Love sewing.
Great video! I confess that sewing keeps me awake at night - hence my moniker ‘Sewing Butterfly’ - Sewing gives me butterflies!! Other reasons too but that’s the main one. Good luck with the move and always listen to your sewing fairy godmother. That olive crepe, in my humble opinion, would be great as a shirt dress - maybe self drafted from a shirt pattern that you love? Best of luck!
Great video! (And I love the title, LOL!!) Beautiful selections and the top you’re wearing is super cute! I am so exciting for you! What a great time in your life! Good luck with your projects, I’m 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 for you!!
I am so excited for you.You will have a wonderful time I am sure. Love the fabric of the top you are wearing. You are so ambitious .I really enjoy your videos. I got a cardigan made this week, it started out as a t-shirt that I machine embroidered that didn't turn out so I cut a strip out the front to remove the bad embroidery then added a front band and collar and changed the sleeves to long sleeves. ta-da I got a light weight cardy! Look forward to see ing what you course is about. Cheers
Great fabric choices Lisa - it is 40 degrees today in Cyprus ! so cotton - linen (my favouite) and viscose is the way to go. Shift dresses are really comfy in the heat - I like the Nina Lee Carnaby dress and I'm sure you made the SOI ultimate shift in the past. Keep showing us your makes. I moved from England 13 years ago and I love Cyprus. x
I knew you would get it all under control💜💜!! I love that darling blouse you are wearing....perfect for Spain! I’m so excited for your whole family to take this trip😉.
What an adventure ahead! Perfect timing. I loved watching Fanny (who lives in Spain) on TH-cam but she seems to be offline these days. My current favourite is Sew Sew Live with Seremy. She sews everything in real time and it is riveting. She has learned so much from years as an industry sewist and is a wonderful teacher. I hope you can give her a shout out. ¡Buen viaje!
Well done on such great progress. I love that Roscoe you're wearing! You can do Kalle with a hidden placket (which means you can hide the buttonholes😉) Loving how much you have accomplished xx
love !!!! those fabrics...i think you have picked good patterns for them. i like the sash and shorter hem idea for that junpsuit. i actually started weeding through my stash since your last video and really liking only having linens and cottons for summer...lol id like silks and silk blends but a bit out of my reach for now. and...get to making a buttonhole!!! i actually dont like the machine for that and when possible just do them by hand or make bound holes...but you wont know preference til you pop one out and mess it up lol....woohoo! u made it over 9k and so glad you hooked up with victory patterns. i love her designs and fit. i got her book and the bodices are awesome! tfs
Loved how the blue jumpsuit looked. Too bad you cut it off, but I'm sure you will wear it a lot more now. Looking forward to seeing the sewing class review.
Will you still be doing your vlog while in Spain, I hope. Your blouse & jumpsuit are so cute. Can’t wait to see what you decide with the other fabrics.
Loving your podcast! Please, what is the pattern you used for the jumpsuit that you shortened? Hope the rest of your packing goes well. Hello from Australia. :)
Please could you give me the number if the Butterick pattern for the tie front top as I’m having a problem with finding a tie shirt pattern! Living the vlog!❤️

In the Folds just debuted a new free pattern for the "Everyday Dress" which looks very simple to sew and is even reversible. You might take a look.
Good point- I might go for volume of pieces right now. ;)
I saw that one!! Didn’t know it was reversible!
Enjoy both worlds! Take enough to keep you going til you get into the fabric groove in Spain!

Thank you! I am dying to use the greige linen- I’m think probably a Charlie because I can wear that day in and day out!
I'm sure you will find lots of lovely fabrics when you get to Spain. Your first top in this vlog is my favorite - even with the sleeves you say are too short. It looks great to me.
Thanks! It’s definitely grown on me-- although I will lengthen the sleeves a bit next time. 😉

It actually looks really cute a bit shorter- I’m happy with how it turned out!
I also love the top you’re wearing, very cute!

Absolutely!!
Loving your podcast! Please, what is the pattern you used for the jumpsuit that you shortened? Hope the rest of your packing goes well. Hello from Australia. :)
Thank you! It’s Vogue 9075
Thank you! That's one I'd been looking at. Great to see how lovely if looks on you. 😊
Rumpily is a great word! I’m using that one 😆 sewing doesn’t keep me up at night but I dream about sewing a lot!
I give you “rumpily” for use at will. :)

I will find it for you today. ;)

You are the only Canadian I follow. The others are fun too, but from the UK and U.S., so hope you will vlog from Spain when you're settled?
Karen Lowes thank you! Yes, I will. For sure. :):)
I wouldn’t sweat the buttonholes if you’re not ready. Just use snaps to close it.
Lisa thanks! I do want to figure it out- just not sure if it will happen before we leave.
I have just made a kalle and used poppers! Prom poppers, it looks really nice. Edited Prym poppers
I do have some poppers.... hmmm
Wow you certainly are going for it with your sewing
Trying!
Yres, you always want to keep that certain someone happy, very important.
Hee hee!😂😂
Just cave in and do It! Buttonholes are not hard!
Adrienne Clamp I will. :P:)
