I like Jerry's mom. She's probably the reason Jerry is the only one capable of kindness and generosity. There's this coherency and depth in Seinfeld in addition to all the great comedic ideas and acting, that you wouldn't necessarily expect from such a show. People always point to this or that aspect to explain why it's so good, but the truth is probably that because it's so multi faceted that it turns into greatness.
She’s definitely the least narcissistic of the bunch. She has a touch of it sure. But she shows a lot of concern for other people’s well-being. Her being so worried for Elaine when she messed up her back on their pullout couch was very sweet. And jerry’s dad’s unflinching pride in him is also very touching to me.
