I do agree that Hot Spot does looks seem hallow, and looks thin plastic wise, but due to the way his transformations works, and the engineering they put into him, while staying in there budget, it probably couldn't be helped. It's still an awesome figure none the less.
Didn't you noticed, that GCW Protectorbot Hot Spot's vehicle look homages DOTM Sentinal Prime. Also, I agree on that this mold could work on Onslaught.
They should have followed a Blades approach reagarding the legs, rotating both of them instead of seperately so the tires would be on the outside.Having the tires on inside really makes him like the legs are swapped.

Hear there is a Prime with classic G1 bot combiner. Think we'll see any Predacons or Seacons?
I have found the PROPER way to get his legs transformed. It makes him less floppy and they do basically tab into place. I'll show that off in my upcoming review of Defensor.

He's much better in his combined mode.

I plan to get the Unite Warriors Defensor set cause unlike the US version, this set comes with an exclusive Deluxe Groove figure that replaces Rook. From what I've heard, we won't get that Deluxe Groove here in the US. BBTS has it on preorder for $160.

Great Review Optibotimus, I was kind of worried about the quality of Wave 3, I just had something nagging me in the back of my head...still going to pick them up because Defensor is awesome!
Great review and I agree he has flaws but I think I like him a lot more then you do. The legs are bad and unfortunately seem to be the trend in the leader class CW figures. But I absolutely love the blue they used on him and the head sculp of both heads is simply amazing. I would also be really surprised if we didn't get a Bruticus out of this. The last one was pretty bad and this is Hasbros chance to redeem themselves. Anyway thanks for the review and keep up the great work.

Hasbro didn't do a good job this time around . The dam protectobot head came off , I guess I will have to get some superglue. The material seem very cheap . I'm very disappointed with this product.
All I see is a light blue Onslaught. I wish they could have just modified the old Inferno/ Grapple mold. That looked great in both modes and would have given the figure some needed bulk and saved in the tooling.
I'm in Canada so everything is delayed a few months before we see them on store shelves. They remove the comics from all the figures because the French version is not included. Plus we are paying $22.60 for a deluxe class figure...And we don't have any Cherry Coke. It drives me crazy on a daily basis. Sucks to be a Canuck sometimes.

I'm glad I watched this video first! I think I will be passing on this guy. He just looks way too thin! Just looking at him makes me want to give him a energon sandwich! I probably will still be picking up the rest of the Protectobots though, and combining them with my Combiner Wars Optimus Prime.

But if the windshield was flat it would look less like a real firetruck. It's based on the same type of firetruck as DOTM Sentinel Prime.

You know a little remoulding, moulded in yellow, and replace the fire ladder with a crane arm. You could re-release the character as Grapple.
