I switched from cows milk to almond milk about 6 months ago....I don't have a food processor or I would try making it myself....I just don't have any room for a food processor...but your almond milk looked terrific!

Love this! What do you think about doing a video on a full week of healthy meals? I know you've said in the past you like to plan out what you and Matt are going to eat for the week so you get those items at the store... maybe share the grocery list and the daily meals with us! Ill leave a comment as Ive been doing this for over a decade lol. I would certainly do this in a blender. It will be very quick, just blend and strain! If in a hurry, use nut butter, about a tbsp or less per cup of water. I tend to use just milk in my oatmeal and do not eat seafood, so I find brazil nuts make a very clean nut milk which doesnt need to be strained. I have a vitamix so I can even blend without soaking a brazil nut with 1/2 a cup of water for my milk and that takes not even a minute. Since Im vegetarian and do not have a good source of selenium in my diet, that satisfies that and makes a very creamy milk but if you eat seafood, maybe not a good idea as too much selenium is not good. Other milks like cashew and hempseed do not need to be strained at all so are very quick, esp. if you have a nice blender!!

Looks so good. I wonder if you can freeze it if you make it in larger batches 🤔. Does anyone know? Also can you reuse the cheese cloths and use a NutriBullet if you don't have a food processor? Or maybe it will purée the almonds too much?

Hi Becca! I've just started to make my own almond milk and I love it! So I was interested to see how you do it. We got a Vitamix which makes it so easy, and also I'd highly recommend using a nut milk bag (I got one on Amazon), it really makes the process so much faster and it's reuseable which is great.

I made this and it was good, although a tad too watery. Did you say 4 cups of filtered water for every 1 cup of almonds? I think it was too much water. But i like it and next time I'll do 3 cups of water I think. Any suggestions? Smells so good though with vanilla and cinnamon.

+Deepak Dhananjaya it will naturally separate, that's normal. The almond milk you can buy in stores has additives to keep this from happening. Not sure about the smell though..it should have the same/smell taste
