    Great video as always Becca! You should do a video on inflammation (why it's important to reduce inflammation) and foods that lower inflammation in the body!

    When I googled which oil is the healthiest, canola oil came up as number one multiple times. Now I'm confused! You should do a skinny video on different kinds of oil, (i.e. veg, canola, olive, coconut, etc).

      @EatMeatandHeal 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      ccap3211 Canola used to be thought of as a healthy oil, but it isn't. Google Dr. Axe and canola oil, or Dr. Mercola and canola oil. If you read the research and background about canola oil and where it comes from, you won't want to eat it.

      @allieeraee5839 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      ccap3211 yes she should because I get so confused! You're told to cook with olive oil but then everyone is using coconut oil now so is olive oil not good anymore? Too confusing I need more information lol

    • @hiicam
      @hiicam 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ccap3211 All oils aren't exactly healthy for you, but canola oil has the best omega 6 to omega 3 ratio, so it's the least inflammatory. Coconut oil is incredibly high in saturated fat, I avoid it at all costs.

    • @ccap3211
      @ccap3211 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      hiicam hmm why are people so obsessed with coconut oil then? It doesn't even taste good. People always rave about it's health benefits.

    • @mac9733
      @mac9733 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To enlighten everyone:
      1. Coconut oil is healthy and has many benefits.
      2. Canola oil is not the healthiest, by far. The production of it is horrible. Please do research on it.
      3. Olive oil is also very healthy for you. Just because people use coconut oil does not mean olive oil is any less beneficial.
      4. Oils can be good for you. Depends on the oil though. Especially since different oils serve different purposes. For example, there is a difference between essential oils and cooking oils. Coconut and olive oil have multiple uses which is why they are so praised upon.

    These are great salad dressing ideas. I've been making my own salad dressings for a long time, but usually just enough for a salad or two. I don't even like bottled dressing anymore. It tastes so salty to me.

    Another tip for salad dressings if you are in a pinch is to water down some hummus that is in your fridge. I know it may sound weird, but it has great texture, good nutrition, great flavor (depending on what hummus), and it makes it pretty creamy. =]

    Hi Becca. I'm having a hard time convincing myself to do a "cheat day" once a week, and when I do so, I always get very guilty about it. :-( Can you give us tips on cheat days in general? I hope it's not an inconvenience. Thank you. 😊

      @@BeccaBristow wouldn’t they be good as long as the ingredients are good since oil & vinegar & even minced garlic last quite a while. Or does something change when they are mixed?

      josie dove she's never done a skinny video on anything like that before. Could be interesting to them in different fast food restaurants. Although everyone already knows that Chik fil a and other fast food restaurants aren't healthy for you. If you're eating food deep fried in peanut oil obviously that isn't good for you.

    You say how unhealthy oils are then you go ahead and dump a cup and a half of oil into the jar doesn't make any sense to me.
