I'm very excited for you. I have this Bosch mixer. I just LOVE it. It will do all that it claims and more.❤

Looks wonderful! If I hadn't bought an ankarsrum this year, I'd have bought this one. Maybe another year. Who knows!

I have had my white Bosch for over 12 years. I also later got the stainless bowl but prefer my white bowl. Over the years I have gotten a lot of the extras. There are only 3 of us at home but I usually make several loaves at a time & freeze them. I have made all our bread products for many years. I'm older than you & I have been through several different mixers in my time. Years ago I had the Oster Kitchen Center then graduated to a Kitchen Aid which I thought was wonderful. I still have it but don't use it. If you could love a machine than I LOVE THIS ONE. I'm sure you'll really like it. I also mix my sourdough in this before fermenting.

That is wonderful to hear! I used the Oster Kitchen Center that my mother had many years ago. On my own, I bought a Kitchenaid around 1987, then “upgraded” to a larger one in 2012. While it held more, I think my old one is better - I still have it. I have been very happy with the Nutrimill Artiste for the year and a half that I have had it, but now that I am making breads from freshly milled flour, I needed a larger machine to handle batches. So far the Bosch has fully met all of my expectations! I know that I will be putting it through its paces, and I believe it will do great! Thank you for letting me know your experience with it.

Thanks for reply. I also mill my flour. I had a "Little Gem" grain mill from late 70's & when I wanted to mill again about 15 years ago, it didn't work. Then we got a "Country Living Mill" for a wonderful price & my husband put a motor on it but very slow. It is on a special table in my kitchen. I then got the "Wonder Mill". Gave it to daughter-in-law & now have "Mock Mill 100" which I use alot. Kitchen Aid is also from 1987. My grandson prefers it over my Bosch.

I had an Artiste to begin with, but after a couple issues I decided to go with the Bosch Universal Plus. I never regretted it. I also have the Bakers Pack. If anyone is looking for a true workhorse that gives you options to add other appliances Bosch is the bomb diggity.

I also started with the Artiste (and the Bakers Pack). It worked great, but I just needed more capacity, and the Bosch is doing everything I ask of it! I am very happy!

Have often thought of buying One, but the amount of einkorn/hard red bread i make does not justify the purchase. Kids are gone, hubby can’t eat whole grain due to kidneys. So i turned in to watch, and enjoyed vicariously😁

I understand. I was baking bread using the Nutrimill Artiste, but Brian wasn’t eating much. Now that I’m milling the grain, we are eating a lot more, and I’m freezing some for the times when work gets in the way.

Vikie, I am looking to purchase the same unit. Of course it is sold out presently, so may I ask what made you buy the stainless bowl in stead of the standard white bowl? Thank you for your recipe and review!

@@ssue2283 I am trying to reduce plastic use where it makes sense. The white Bosch can handle bigger batches, but this one is large enough for my uses. If you don’t mind using the plastic, the white costs less and holds more.

That bread looks so wonderful. When you let the Doug rest before adding yeast, does that apply to only sandwich bread? Thank you Vicky for posting ❤❤

Thank you! No, I am using this technique on all of my freshly ground flour baking. It allows the bran to absorb moisture and soften, and gives a smoother texture to whatever you are making. I am still learning, but I believe that this will make a big difference whether I am making breads, or muffins, cookies, etc. Love you dear friend!

@@VickiesCountryHomeI don’t think the Ankarsrum is an upgrade to the Bosch. Bosch is the best there is with fresh milled flour. My mom got her first Bosch and grain mill in 1973. She had 9 kids. We all are Bosch mixer users and we all mill our flour. I’m glad you’re on this same journey. You’re going to love your new Bosch!

@@coletteburgess1942 I agree. I have never used the Ankarsrum, but have looked into it quite a bit because so many people making fresh milled flour use it. But it seems to be more trouble than it’s worth, and a LOT more expensive! I did my research before buying the Bosch (the Artiste too for that matter). For my purposes it should do everything I need, with my Kitchenaid for other jobs.
