@@lenka8986 same! I just learned to do it at home and I am finally happy with my cut. I figured if I can teach myself and I'm not a professional then the hairdressers I went to in the past really don't have an excuse, they just didn't listen. (I have a LOT of hair, thick and wavy, and all I asked for was a U shape with long layers, very basic cut sooo yeah haha no excuse)

Hi Ms. Diane Da Costa... I'm grateful to you. It's the best video haircut tutorial for wavy hair I've ever watched. I will be cutting my twin sister's hair and she has thick wavy frizzy hair. She always feel bad about her hair coz it gives her troubles managing it. I want her to feel good about her hair and this video made me confident that she can also get a nice hair. Thank you sooo much. God bless you

Puddi Pururin embrace them! I habe also hair like that but the good news is it will stay in whatever shape you manipulate it to! Wash and condition your hair after shampooing, then after drying it with the towel (or shirt as many suggest to not break the hair) add a LEAVE IN CONDITIONER! It will moisturize your hair perfectly and only needs to be applied every second or third day. You can air dry it a little more or use a hair dryer. Air drying is better for the hair. Now you can add some hair oil but really just a little starting from the ends and workingbit to your mid section. The leave in conditioner was to moisturize now the oil is to seal the moist. Brush your hair now that it is not completely wet not completely dry so the product really gets everywhere. And now you can just french braid your hair which takes some practicing but would give amazing waves when opening it after sleeping to letnit dry completely. If you really can‘t french braid just make several smaller braidslike 3 (on your sides and one in the back on top) and then a 4th on the bottom part of your back. Gives beautiful waves for our kind of hairtype and really lazy actually to just let the hair style while you sleep! Easy to recreate the next night!
Other approaches are a bandana curl approach to put them up to become more curly overnight (there is tutorials online) and I thinknitnworks also very great for wavy hair. Now that my hair is healthy due to the right leave in conditioner and oil kn the end I will even attempt a simple „ananas“ updo for night using a hair clipper on top of my head instead of a rubber band.
      Good luck!

Would my stylist test the bounce on both sides so that one side would not look longer than the other? That is how it always turns out no matter who cuts it. I hope you see this even though the video I watched was made 5 years ago! Thank you!

I know its not the best or most accurate system, but its how the curly hair community classifies curl pattern which is used in most (if not all) educational videos.
