25+ is too much .. a landscaper charges 25-35$ per cut to cut your whole house . Y'all standing in one place built as barbers don't do nearly as much work as landscapers or apply as much value to anything that your doing at the moment to charge $50 lol

Peace IDOITBARBER !!! Thanks for this video. I wish I could get all of my customers to watch this video. I’ve been undercharging for years and once I started taking my craft more serious and putting my all into it I began to charge more. My clients tell me all the time that I’m one of the best in my area (PHILLY) yet some complain about paying $30 for a full cut w/beard!!! It’s crazy how people won’t complain to the bill collectors or mortgage company yet I’m supposed to undersell myself so they can give these other businesses more money 🤦🏾‍♂️. It’s 2020 and I’m not accepting the disrespect anymore. Keep on keeping on my brother. Love your channel 🔥🔥🔥🔥

It's to the point where I'm a start learning how to cut my on hair these prices are starting to get to high. The only reason there high is because you have fools out here actually paying those ridiculous prices. No haircut and mean No haircut said be more then $20 to $25 and that's anywhere no more where you live. It's just hair and it's gonna grow right back that same week. If you have little boys getting a cut and yourself then that's more $60 in some cases. If you can't make a living off of $20 to $25 a cut then you definitely in the wrong business and thats not being cheap.

Booth rent goes up and equipment, razors, sheen spray, aftershave goes up. You have no choice. You can cut ur own hair and goto cheap barbers, but cheap barbers are dirty and give you infections, boules and ringworms. Sooo look like a bumb.. get razor burn all over your hairline, shawtys gone be runnin, manager looking at you sideeyed. Yeah bro gotta invest in your self even if you work at McDonald's.

Watched the whole video big dawg. You're spitting facts and I appreciate you taking time out of your day to talk on this. I've been cutting for about three years now and i've got a few months left of barber college and this really helped my mindset. I thought about moving to my hometown where the two shops there charge $12 & $14 for 5,000 people and didn't know if it would be right to go there or to go somewhere else where the average was better. Right now i'm not to worried about the pay because i'm just hungry to become a great barber but i've been told I should charge more than $15 by many people. The average sports clips cut right now in my current town of 11,000 people is $20. Than the shops are charging like $12. I'm kinda like what???? One of the guys is 74 and has been cutting for 40 years and is only charging $12 and I tried explaining that he should be charging wayyyy more and he said that's not how the business works and he'd lose all his customers and he can't risk it due to his age

$20 across the board walk ins
    $25-$30 for appointments
    +10 for beard
mustache and eyebrows free if getting a cut
Tuesday through Thursday try to get more people in the chair so might promote 20$ appointments if its slow

i watch you all the time and i really felt like you were talking to me directly today. i have a federal job a decent career and the barber game always was a interest to me. i moved to Denver Colorado and shopped around for a barber which was costing me around $35 bucks. im from new York and was living in NC which i would normally pay 20 bucks for a cut since i was young and it just made me so mad that i turned into a youtube barber tutorial fan and started cutting my own hair. it has saved me so much money. i said on the side i'm going to cut hair and charge less than the others... Until i watched your live today and it woke me up. i realized if i'm going to make a person look good and spend my time studying this game and learning. Once i cut someone's hair i'm charging a fair price for my services. I just wanted to thank you for the information that you shared with us.... I learned so much today as always...……………….

I don't see how they have... The cost of living keeps going up. The cost of maintaining your shop keeps going up.
I live in Bloomfield, New Jersey, near Montclair. If you know anything about a mass transit area with high-rise condos everywhere, you are crazy if you believe that the haircut prices don't go up, like everything else. What, people think we're not supposed to thrive, too?....space rents are no joke.

Watching all this videos about how much to charge for a haircut. What is going to happen when barbers won’t be able to collect cash and start getting 1099’s from apps and pos. Taxes are higher when independent contractor. I always hear the complaint of how much Supercuts charge not knowing that there prices are based on payroll and expenses of running the business. The question is how much tax you will pay when the 1099 report that u made $100,000 for the year.

I’m a barber from Mississippi and prices here are just now starting to go up when I started working in the shop I’m at in 2018 adults was $15 kids $10 toddlers $5
Fast forward 2021 we charging $20 +$5 beard. Kids 10 and toddlers $10
And starting 2022 we gonna be charging $25 adults +$5 ..15 kids toddlers $10
Inflation is a mf but I mean it’s the world we living in now . McDonald’s workers making $15-20 and hour so everything else going up too
I do however feel that a barbers prices need to match his skill set . I see a lot of young barbers fresh out of school going into shops charging $30 knowing they are very limited to what they can do like for example cutting straight hair.

It always surprises me that those who want expertise, skill and result, show they expect that for a minimum wage price. Are you for real?

If barbers are buggin, everybody buggin. Landlords, super markets, electricians, plumbers. Triming and styling hair, even braiding hair in a solon the least is at least 50. In a shop a cut and beard is more labor then that with shaping up and fading and eyes brows and all that. So why we cant charge 40 50 a cut? And if you don't want to get off your a** or you have no patience to wait your turn in a barber shop (yeah!) You paying more. You trying to get all this convenience for 20? 30? Even for a house cut? Us coming to you? Maaaaan".... Kiss my a**

People will pay 40$ for some 25:20 weed or 300$ or more for some Jordans before they'll pay 30 for a cut. Stop complaining clients.

  • @bootscatsworld
    @bootscatsworld 2 ปีที่แล้ว

When you cut someone's hair you don't add value to that person . You just take that persons money and they feel better about themselves for a certain period of time. When a landscaper comes to your house and cuts your grass they add value to your home, your neighborhood and if you have kids and pets they can be comfortable as they run and play outside . Most people that do hire landscapers are on a bi weekly cut basis, monthly . For a month's lawn service in an expensive landscaping company it would run you about 50$ and they bring workers and trucks and machines worth $15,000 more than all your clippers combined .. you barbers enjoy yourselves while you can .. all it takes is the right voice or a weird trend of not cutting hair and bye bye custos .. it's like imagine Uber eats delivery drivers making videos about trying to charge people more to deliver their food as if they are not charging enough already to play fetch with your food .

The problem here is barbers are over charging and the excuse they’re giving is everything is going up and I get it. But you wanna raise your prices like gas prices is crazy. And yea you can charge $1 $15 $ 30 or $1000 dollars but you gotta be realistic. Yes you gonna find those paying these crazy amounts but trust once they find someone giving you the same cut you gonna lose clientele. You wanna be compared to those barbers cutting high clientele and you cant do that to the average customer that’s putting money in your pocket. Barbers wanna make more and work less who doesn’t i get it but that kinda talk sounds like some lazy mofos because a hustler a go getter works for every dollar and cent and I know barbers with that mindset and make money. Also if i live in a small town of course i will $60 or even more because it’s convenient for the community to stay in town. But as soon as another shop in town opens up providing the same service and quality and charging way less we will see how successful they will be. Smh lesson learn my peeps buy your own clippers learn to cut your own hair it will suck in the beginning but it get better especially you keeping your money. Dont get out hustle. Stay smart.

People don't respect barbers, barbering is a special craft and also takes allot of attention to detail and sanitation discipline. You don't get licensed to work at McDonald's or else where. Licensing is important and requires an initial investment. Women spend hundred of dollars to get their hair done but Men are complaining over 50 bucks for a cut and beard trim.
