BMW X3 Interior Door Handle Repair

Here I repair a common problem with some BMW X3 vehicles. The interior door handle comes apart - this replacement part fixes it.

Spectacular job. Car door handles are one of those things that fit either a couple of Burger King onion ring sauce tubs or a big Little Ceasar's garlic butter tub quite nicely. Keep them in tip-top shape always.

Did you have to clean the all rubbery material or you left it there?

I couldn't get it off so I just left it and it wasn't a problem.

Does this restrict ability to remove door panel?

Maybe a little difficult to pull it up and out - might snap a tab in the process. I haven't had to do it.
