Both of these great services can be found here: www.kentuckycanine.com Thank you all for your remarkable support over the years! I cannot express enough how grateful I am for your appreciation and patronage of this channel, my training style, and my kennel. Always remember, it’s a great day for a puppy-sized adventure!
Before I got my Izzie, I found your channel. I looked at some others, but they didn't grab me. Our Lord said go back to the first one and I did. I didn't go there to be entertained. I went there to learn the very serious training I was looking for and I found it. I have applied that training to my 8 week old Black Lab puppy. She took right to what I learned from you and is pretty impressive at such a young age. We even made a small challenge course. She went on it the first time at 8 weeks like I'd already been training her. I kept thinking, I wish Uncle Stonnie could see what his training sessions, and advice has done for me and in turn Izzie. We are soon ready to kick it up a notch or two. Thank you so much! Pinned by stonnie denise
Boring? Nah. It’s all in the perspective. I enjoy watching the videos for the down to earth training advice. I also like to see the dogs and the scenery. Everyone has a difficult style and different interests. adding: you’re authentic, which is what most people prefer.
I think some people confuse Calm, Grounded and well Balanced with Boring; Calm & Balanced is what we want in our Dog and Trainer. So keep on going. We'll be watching and learning 👏
Never would consider your channel boring. Every single video I have seen of yours has given me something valuable, and in an enjoyable style that is uniquely yours.
Boring is not the adjective I would use for your channel. Professional. Expert. Patient. Wise. Superior dog trainer. Those are some adjectives I would use. I appreciate what you do and I’ve learned so much from watching you!
When I’m bored, I come here to learn how to train my black chubby with “persistence, consistence, and a little insistence” because I’m interested. I’ve put many of your methods into practice and it works. Your calm demeanor interests me and clearly has the dogs attention. If someone thinks your channel is boring, they’re truly not interested in the subject matter, and should simply move on.
I think "boring" is a highly underrated quality. I've had my dog since July. She'll be six next month, was never trained, was in rough shape (imagine being skin and bones at 117 lbs.) and is stubborn and strong as hell. It hasn't been easy but she's making tremendous strides, I believe because I've consistently insisted (lovingly but firmly) that we do things MY way, even if she does outweigh me. She now loves to take walks, walks up and down stairs (which she refused to do initially) and even goes in the car without an argument. Believe me, with a dog this big, I NEVER look forward to "exciting." I'm relieved that her behavior is becoming more boringly well-mannered and I appreciate the perspective you share.
…Calm and educational, with beautiful scenery, adorable children growing up over the years, the best camera lady in the business, and rare breeds of dogs every now and then, plus we have shorts season every year. Not boring at all. The world could use more boring, normal folks. 😁 🐶 🐾💙
"Boring" was definitely meant as a compliment to you when Pat said it on that episode. Who whole podcast was about how good dog training is not exciting. Basically they expressed the same points you gave in this video.
There is a phrase used in high stress, violent professions; “calm is contagious”. Your calm demeanor is appreciated on my end and I’m sure the dogs you train appreciate that. Keep up the “boring” videos. They are appreciated.
I never find your videos to be boring Actually I have learned more than a boatload of info from you! You got mad at me a few yrs back and even made a video about it called “trolls and language police” but I never meant any insult to you. You are a great dog trainer and I now have a 5 yr old well mannered dog who is into outdoor adventures based on your training videos solely. Sincere thank you!
Hi Stonnie. As I watch your training videos, I often replace 'dog' with 'human' and take mental notes at every turn. There's no music, no hassle, no drama; just a man and his will and his discipline to teach dogs basic commands, obedience, and good manners. More power to you. Love from Canada!
I do not see boring. In many ways I consider it going to class. Now I have a Golden Doodle. Not exactly a hard “dog” to train. But puppy stage was rough. Your hobo training concept has trained me to show a dog manners. Now he goes just about everywhere with me. He loves people. Will sit and wait to be acknowledged. Now people no longer ask “ how are you”. They ask “where is Leo”. Thank you sir!
Not boring! I've learned so much, & you have a way of giving a general direction for training, while still addressing an individual dog's issue. Btw, your "cameraman" does a great job too! 😃👍👍
Stonnie, your training videos are definitely not boring, and my husband and I have learned and implemented so many things from following you for at least two years! Thank you for this!
You’re videos are the best, Stonnie. My pup is going on 5 years with good manners and it all started with your videos. Sometimes we play your videos to recalibrate-he’s been hearing your voice since he was 10 weeks old. All this to say that those of us who follow you are not here for dog drama. We’re here because we want calm and peaceful homes and strong communication with our pups, and you model how to achieve that.
Learning by doing. You and your channel has taught me to pay attention to the little things. My dog has had adventures on logs and terrain that I would of walked past without a doubt! Result I have a confident happy dog, and you can’t ask for much more than that!
❤ well I like calm and relaxing and informative! Some people confuse calm for boring, they also confuse noise for knowledge. People who are exceptionally good at something make it look very easy and that doesn’t always look exciting, but it is inspirational.
I used your "method" with my collie dog, Vinny (rip), from when he was a pup, and continued his "training" all his short life.... and he was the happiest, best behaved pet. Even after his early demise I still watch your channel. Don't change.
I don't find you boring at all. I find it rather refreshing not to have all of the drama. I have learned a lot by watching your videos. I do have to chuckle when you whistle for the dogs and my dog comes charging from her bed ready to go do something.
Your videos are far from boring. I have learned so much from you. I have two dogs: a chocolate labrador and a rescue have no idea mix. Im not perfect, and we have our really great days and some improvement days. but they love watching you and then having "puppy adventure ".
I watch a lot of content but Stonnie's videos helped me the most, and these are also the videos I am looking forward to the most. This approach is like a cherry on top of the cake in my learning journey. I have been watching and learning about all the techniques and stuff, but certainly was lacking some bigger picture and WHY behind everything. I see Stonnie more like a dog philosopher, a wise man that puts in the work and does everything what he preaches. The videos are so informative and realistic. Some of them I tend to re-watch to remind myself to be more patient with my dog. Stonnie has definitely helped me to survive the hardest moments of raising a puppy. I want more "boring" videos! 😊
I love how you work with the dogs. Your demonstrations of what day to day work with the dogs is really like. Steady and consistent work routines that foster calm and close relationships with these beautiful pups. Thank you for your generosity in sharing all that you do to help pups to have a great life.
Hey Stonnie, this may not be the comment you're looking for, but sometimes when I have difficulty falling asleep, I put your channel to lull me to sleep. So thanks for being calming.
Stonie, you are not boring. I think that you do engaging things for me and the dog. Of course, we do not need glitz and glam, bells and whistles, or flashing lights. Keep on keeping on you’re the best.
The Mrs and I have been watching since around 2016 I think, and appreciate your family business and philosophy as it applies to dogs and people the same. We lost our heart dog in 2017, yet as old retired Senior folk, we get out, get going, stay active, make ourselves interesting- as if we still had a dog. We’ve learned more about dogs and the psychology of what makes them polite, attentive, and well-mannered. We anticipate your next video, and the next, and maybe one day soon we’ll be blessed with another dog and be better prepared.
Don't worry about a thing. Your videos have helped me and many others more times than I can count. Boring? Not a chance. Expert, on point teaching. In my world, that looks like peace of mind for all.
Your videos are not boring, because you show us the results while you tell us the rationale behind what you're doing. I love watching the dogs "get it" and if anything, your "calm demeanor" reminds me to stay calm when I work with the family dogs.
Oh, well after many years of following, stonnie, cameraman, kids and dogs the videos have been the steady influence I’ve been searching for in life. As a mum now I appreciate the common sense you’ve ingrained into the videos and how in a world of hyper materialism I can be confident my kids aren’t going to hear swearing or anything of concern to me. So if this is what boring is, there is a mum and a dad and two little kids that love this content!
6 years ago, before I got my little doggo, I watched all the Stonnie Dennis I could get hold of. With the knowledge gained from those hours I've raised him into a fiiiiine animal! I tell him he's a fiiiine animal every day! Thanks Stonnie!
I follow and watch a varied amount of dog trainers. You are not boring, neither are your videos. I've learnt so much from you Uncle Stonnie and I have even adopted "very nice" as praise when I ask my dog to do something and he does it well.
Your channel and all its 'boring' content inspired me to start working towards a career as a professional dog trainer. People seem to be more impressed by flashy (highly edited) 30 second clips on ticktock than well-thought out, informative, consistent and uplifting content that is actually useful... Thank you for your videos, Stonnie, I watch and rewatch them gladly!
God Bless you and your family!!! You are a gift to people and to dogs :) and it doesn't seem like you ever sit down so there is no way for you to be boring. I am so proud of the work you and your family does for the community and because of TH-cam, a wide audience. Your dog psychology makes complete sense and you teach it in a digestible manner. Your kids are so sweet and I'm sure that "Cameraman" is a Rockstar. Our beloved Weimaraner passed and in hindsight, she was a bit of a race horse for us. We are going to match our next dog to our current energy level, so Labrador it is (not sure it will be black though, haha). I live in California but my dad is from Kentucky so I love when you say, "Holler." I will also plan to do any courses you offer online so that we invest our work into the front end of our next dog. If I don't get to meet you on the earth I have a feeling I'll get to meet you in God's heaven :) Keep up the great work :) don't fret over the negative nelly's - some people aren't happy unless they are complaining or stirring the pot ... Bonus: if people listen to your dog training advice, they will also receive good child training advice as a bonus :)
I truly value Uncle Stonnie’s in-depth explanation of how to reach out to all dogs and bring them along to become good pups in our community. Really, your videos help me beyond my dogs. You are training me Uncle Stonnie to be a better person and in turn a better dog owner.
Your videos are quiet and calm and I can see your success with dogs. I like your videos that focus on working to get a dog that will be a good obedient companion animal, confident and patient. I’m learning lots. It’s fun to see a dog working obedience etc with total focus and super quick responses and I’m sure you can train a dog to that level, but a lot of us just want a dog that fits in with the family and has manners. NOT boring at all.
You have inspired me to work with my dogs in a way that’s both rational and creative. I also try to be the rock on which they can depend. We love boring days, in the field and pastures. Wpg got a stick in his chest, so the last two weeks have been even more boring. But I’m treating him and restraining him and he’s fine. You are the best. Thanks
Never boring! I appreciate all your insight and your consistency. Building a foundation is work and you show how to do it with the best interests of the dog and the people who interact with the dog as the priority.
Hello Mr. Stonnie. Always liked your videos, and after learning so much from you and others trainers personally and virtually I end up forgetting your channel a little bit after a while. But came back after I heard this podcast (Canine Paradigm of 2 amazing Australian blokes) saying and remembering me how dog training is "boring" for the average people. It takes so much patience and consistency that are not appealing for social media. I don't know them personally but I've been hearing their podcast from years and I can assume with 99% of certainty that they were applauding your content and agreeing that social media needs more of these realistic and educational videos. Not "sexy", flashy and unrealistic 15 seconds of useless posts. Congrats again for everything. Greetings from Brazil.
The videos with many dogs of different breeds and ages in the background are very fascinating! Love your training and teaching style and I appreciate that you aren’t focused on entertainment and drama for clicks like many channels. Real deal.
Stonnie, I've watched all your videos, start to finish, and multiple times. You're channel is my favorite on youtube, and it's because the videos are exactly the way they are: genuine, informative, and real. I remember I first came across your channel because I am a huge fan of Labrador Retrievers and wanted to learn more about the difference between English/show and American/working blood lines. Not only did you prove to be an amazing resource on the topic, but you also taught me so much about other breeds. You have so many fans of your family and hard work; and your channel really is the most authentic dog channel out there. Just wanted to come on here and share my thoughts as someone who has been a quiet fan all these years. I have learned so much from you and your videos, so I really hope you keep sharing content with us. And thank you for all that you do!
Just to add my Australian 2 cents… I’ve only discovered your channel in the last month or so and I think it’s terrific. Exactly all the things the dog owning public need to hear. I wish I could hang out with you in person some day and talk dogs!
You can't please everyone. I love your videos! You are so articulate, I can listen while I work and know what's going on. Thanks for everything youdo. Don't change a thing!
Finally had time to click through and it's exactly what I was thinking. I think too often people conflate exciting with "thrilling" and over use the term boring. I enjoy elevating my own dog training knowledge and ability to communicate it, a lot of which I owe to your content. And I find it quite exciting to watch No Name retrieve or just see dogs exercise their potential. Exciting can be peaceful, thrilling is more about adrenaline. Thank you Stonnie and crew for helpful and relaxing content.
I just got an 8 week old female black lab a couple weeks ago. You have become my favorite channel. You've been a big help to me watching your videos. I like that they are "boring". There is so much knowledge to be gained from watching your videos. You have such a calm voice and presence. Helps me stay calm too lol. I live in western KY so I was excited to see a fellow proud Kentucky boy. Keep up the great work!
I'm getting a female black lab too! In a few weeks she'll come home. 😊 just like you, his video's calm me down. I don't like all the very fast and loud talking most youtubers do. Enjoy your time with your puppy, hope all is going well :)
I agree 100 % with what you said, Stonnie! It is the same with dog training as with any other skill, it requires training, which is basically strategic repetition. The most exciting thing is chaos, which is exactly what people do NOT want with their dogs. Really enjoy your channel!! By the way, how is the little cavalier-princess-girl named Marley? I loved that episode!❤😊😅
I disagree, your videos are not boring! I have been watching for years and have learnt so much from you. Your channel is just the right balance between fun and educational. I find it very inspiring actually.
I’m a fan of yours and the podcast you’re referencing. I was pleased to hear them talking about you,and ‘knowing’ them for months on line, I really think the point they were making is that good dog training…like you do,can look ‘boring’ That good dog trainjng is steady and pretty uneventful when done right? Like you clearly do!
Hater’s are always gonna hate. You have the best channel on the internet. Common sense logic based on a dogs point of view. I have learned so much since finding your channel, thanks again and keep up the great work.
Come on Stonnie, you don’t make boring videos. It is just fun watching all the dogs around you. They all have different characters. You are like the Pied Piper of dogs. I used to watch Dog Daddy. Someone there suggested watching you. I just enjoy your channel better. I have learned a lot. So don’t change a thing.
Pay them no mind. I watched nearly every video of yours in 2016 in preparation of adopting our children lab, Theodore, while stationed in Alaska. I followed all of your videos and tips to the T and we have the most well behaved, loving, and disciplined lab. We receive compliments on his behavior everywhere we go and we always tell them-you’ve got to check out Stoney!
I also really appreciate your calm, steady approach as well as your bits of logic and wisdom shared along the way. Always an interesting watch, and I don’t even have a dog right now. Keep sharing what you do.
I greatly enjoy your form of video. This is a show I can put on while my 4 year old is around and it has helped him learn how to navigate his relationship with our dog. He and I LOVE your channel.
I am excited to see how quickly your students learn. I am excited Everytime I see a new video come out or find one I haven't viewed before. I find excitement in your videos all the time, especially when you teach some Ah Ha moment of revelation in the common sense, perfect way you teach dogs, and I realize it will work for me too! I can do this. I get excited to learn that I can take my dog anywhere anytime with me if I will put in the work, and follow your teachings. Boring? Not hardly! You are my absolute favorite to the extent that I have stopped watching any other dog trainers videos. Bet the guy with all the trouble dogs he thinks are exciting doesn't have followers who will say that!
Stonnie, you are a master of your craft, and very good at some other stuff also! When I watch your videos, it is neat to see someone who is so knowledgeable, effective, caring, and consistent. Deep respect!
If you want dogs to learn, you need to promote a calm, non reactive state of mind! Dogs LOVE, LOVE routine. Most people do not have the patience to train animals. I love your channel and direct people to it all the time!
I'm from the horse world rather than dog world, though Ive been around a lot of dogs, just not in a training capacity. Ive been looking around at many training videos. None that i have found compare to yours. I like your style. I like your attitude with the dogs and people. You are teaching so much that it is hard to even describe all the things that can be learned from your videos. I read some graffiti once that said "boredom is the absence of thought". Perhaps it applies to those people. Ive probably seen some of their channels and moved on. On an aside, the George and Goose videos are great. He is a good sport and clearly talented.
Your Honorable Stonnie Dennis I truly admire you. I came across your channel before I got my first dog, and you have always inspired me. I recently quit teaching, and I’m living out my car with my dog, Bailee, and snake, Nagini. It’s been 62 days and things are tight, but I keep looking for a way of living where I can always be with my dog and use my talents/skills/abilities. All I’m asking for is advice to build a kennel from scratch with nothing but a dream aspiration determination and grit. I’ll do it with my bare hands 🧱 please offer some wisdom. I’m praying 🙏🏾
I have personally got a lot out of your training. Please dont change a thing. You are good for my dogs. I love in NZ and take training classes. I have put people on to your channel!
Love watching your videos Stonnie! My family and I have learned so much! We are waiting to get into our house before we get a Lab but while we wait we are educating ourselves by watching you. Thank you!
I love your channel dogs learn best by calm and repetition. I've just recently got two puppies. I purchased a yorkie cross two weeks later I brought home a 7 week old border collie who was on a farm the farmer had 12 puppies stuck in a tiny cage without room to move the little female I brought home is malnourished tiny for her age and was full of worms and fleas. Once she was treated Ive had to nagotiate raising and training two puppies very simular in age whilst getting the little collie eating and hopefully gaining weight. I've found been completely calm, having set routines and rules and doing a lot of repetition on simple commands the pups have learned like sitting for treats or meals is the best way to raise two puppies together.
I love your style. As a matter of fact it's because of you that would take my dogs to the park and traine them as I did. You are very informative and cool.
I just listened to that podcast and that's how I discovered you . The trainer that said that was actually explaining exactly what you explain here.. and that's how your name came up. (As opposed to other nut jobs super influential trainers that are out there getting "views" for all the exciting wrong reasons" 👉so what he was saying is that good dog training looks boring.. because good dog trainers don't go looking for "excitement " , like what you do.
Thank you for the psychology for humans and for dogs as well. The best advice concerning our canines gives us hope to carry on and not to give up. We are up to the challenge of keeping on our toes for their sake and wellbeing and not losing our sanity in the process. Thank you for your super help!!

You're a good man, Stonnie. THat little guy with the game leg is absolutely adorable and has stolen my heart.
If no one has told you today, I love you brother! The best dog trainer on TH-cam by far!
Before I got my Izzie, I found your channel. I looked at some others, but they didn't grab me.

Informative, sane, intelligent, respectful, insightful and engaging? Yes!

I really enjoy your hype-free, calm, videos. I've found them very helpful in training our standard poodle puppy.
I think some people confuse Calm, Grounded and well Balanced with Boring; Calm & Balanced is what we want in our Dog and Trainer. So keep on going. We'll be watching and learning 👏

That sums it up quite well! Also explains your username, I like it. Nice work to you Edger and thank you Stonnie.
Yes.....wise....this is how I would categorize his training style. Wisdom isn't really a thing in our culture just now.....
When I’m bored, I come here to learn how to train my black chubby with “persistence, consistence, and a little insistence” because I’m interested. 😂 love this!
That comment was definitely meant as a compliment - that is how most training should be
Being called boring is a compliment, dog training should be just that.
I think "boring" is a highly underrated quality.

Stonnie, training, caring and living with dogs is never boring. Keep up the good work education is power.
Don't worry about a thing. Your videos have helped me and many others more times than I can count. Boring? Not a chance. Expert, on point teaching. In my world, that looks like peace of mind for all.
I love your channel, Stonnie - boring is subjective. I enjoy the serenity of your videos and how you work with your dogs.
I appreciate that!
Your videos are not boring, because you show us the results while you tell us the rationale behind what you're doing. I love watching the dogs "get it" and if anything, your "calm demeanor" reminds me to stay calm when I work with the family dogs.
You have the best channel ever. I can listen too you for hours😊 100% best trainer on YT!
I love your videos and how easy flowing they are. I think you and your dogs have wonderfully fun adventures 💖
If this is boring, it's my kind of boring! Very informative and interesting channel. Not boring at all.
Hello Mr.
Real deal.
You are never boring. You are my favorite dog trainer.
Never boring. I love your videos. I aspire to be like you with my dogs.
Don't change a thing about your channel! Best in the business, Stonnie!
Been watching your content for a while and enjoy every one you post. Thanks for all your hard work and for sharing your knowledge. Tom - New Zealand🇳🇿
I disagree, your videos are not boring! I have been watching for years and have learnt so much from you. Your channel is just the right balance between fun and educational. I find it very inspiring actually.
Your grass tubs are very exciting. Love your videos. You teach us to be the rock in our dogs growth with obedience
I have 3 black labs and your channel is one of my favorites and my dogs love to watch Uncle Stonnie!
I’m a fan of yours and the podcast you’re referencing.
I was pleased to hear them talking about you,and ‘knowing’ them for months on line, I really think the point they were making is that good dog training…like you do,can look ‘boring’
That good dog trainjng is steady and pretty uneventful when done right? Like you clearly do!
Hater’s are always gonna hate. You have the best channel on the internet. Common sense logic based on a dogs point of view. I have learned so much since finding your channel, thanks again and keep up the great work.
Come on Stonnie, you don’t make boring videos. It is just fun watching all the dogs around you. They all have different characters. You are like the Pied Piper of dogs. I used to watch Dog Daddy. Someone there suggested watching you. I just enjoy your channel better. I have learned a lot. So don’t change a thing.
Your charisma Stonnie makes my day
Pay them no mind.
I’m so grateful to find you. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. Knowing people like you / it gives me hope for future!
Boring? No, that comment would only come from someone who is envious of your content. Great videos thank you!!!!!
I also really appreciate your calm, steady approach as well as your bits of logic and wisdom shared along the way. Always an interesting watch, and I don’t even have a dog right now. Keep sharing what you do.
Your channel is definitely not boring, I’ve learned a lot about how to deal with My GSP , mostly for free 🎉 thanks for the tips
❤❤❤Stonnie, you are definitely NOT boring to me.
You keep doing you man. You're doing a great job and thank you for being real. Def helped me a lot in training my dogs for waterfowl hunting.
You're not boring Stonnie. Reaper still jumps up and watches the TV when he hears your voice!
Stonnie, you are a master of your craft, and very good at some other stuff also! When I watch your videos, it is neat to see someone who is so knowledgeable, effective, caring, and consistent. Deep respect!
They didn't say you were boring!! 💜💜💜
You're an inspiration, I appreciate your channel. The GSPs drew me in about a year ago. Thank you!
Oh, Stonnie, you and the dogs are not boring!
My humble opinion- You have an awesome channel for those who love dogs.... Ive learned alot from all of your insights and experience.
Your Honorable
Stonnie Dennis
I truly admire you.
NEVER bored watching your videos!!!
I love your style. As a matter of fact it's because of you that would take my dogs to the park and traine them as I did. You are very informative and cool.
I just listened to that podcast and that's how I discovered you . The trainer that said that was actually explaining exactly what you explain here.. and that's how your name came up. (As opposed to other nut jobs super influential trainers that are out there getting "views" for all the exciting wrong reasons"
👉so what he was saying is that good dog training looks boring.. because good dog trainers don't go looking for "excitement " , like what you do.
Comes down to what’s more important ?
Doing what you love with professionalism or You tube.
Love your style thanks you for sharing!
Thank you for the psychology for humans and for dogs as well. The best advice concerning our canines gives us hope to carry on and not to give up. We are up to the challenge of keeping on our toes for their sake and wellbeing and not losing our sanity in the process. Thank you for your super help!!
You are very welcome! Thanks for watching!
Love your channel especially your insights and sense of humor. There will always be naysayers you have to totally ignore.
Your the best in the industry Mr Stonnie, putting the work everyday
