Man from one aspiring game dev to another, well done. I've been learning Unreal Engine (with blueprints) since I was 14, and have only recently began learning how to code in C++ It's refreshing to see a young game developer share their story without being cringy or overly dramatic.
I always love seeing the behind the scenes of paint warfare! back in 2022, this was easily my favorite game and im sure it was obvious from how much i yapped in the discord about it 😭😭even went so far as to dress up as a pw bean for halloween. although i do not play the game much anymore, i enjoy taking a peek at the discord and youtube videos from creators from time to time to keep up with the game's progress. i hope you continue on your developer journey, whether that be with more pw updates or with whole new games (remember castaway?). -depressed dog
Congrats on the game! Congrats on the vid too! + nice choice of bg music (Hungarian Dance No. 5 I’m talking about) Ik this isn’t much, but commenting for the algorithm 🔥
Glad this video is popping off, genuinely enjoyed the video and kept me engaged, hope you become the next dany someday lol, wish you the best and keep up the good work! ♥
So proud of you bro seeing the beta trailer with me (Faze Gay) in the vid was so cool. Also i never knew you had been working on this game for that long glad you stuck through man
Honestly there’s nothing wrong with “asset flips” there are tons of people out there making free assets that look really nice. Even making asset flips will give you good practice and experience.
Hey man idk if this is in the game already, or if not, in your plans already, but you should 100% add a map editor / creator. Map creators give smaller indie games so much longevity that wouldn’t be there without. Geometry Dash is a prime example. Even if it’s simple.
@@bananadev Yeah I love the game alot but maybe like the lobbies can somehow be evened out bc I was the only person in my team against another team ik you cant control the number of people that play but maybe limit the amount of lobbies
I just think of a country/city, find images on google images, list the props I will need and buildings, make some terrain, model the props in blender and sort of just place it randomly until it looks good and plays well. Sometimes I draw the layout in my notebook before I place props so I have a general idea. Then I test over and over and make adjustments to positions or create new props
Man there was a Russian hacker in game and I wrote in chat "imagine hacking" and in the next game while was grinding alone on a flag game and i got kicked out for "using hacks"
Happy to be of help over these years!
Of course! the sound design would’ve been awful without you xD
@@bananadev ❤️
0:29 The person saying ''Noooo'' was me. Can't believe I snuck into the video lmao

95% of a game is the gameplay anyway. Look at games like West Hunt and Perfect Heist 2
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it

That’s definitely a great idea and I will do that

How do you make the game, specifically level design?
I just think of a country/city, find images on google images, list the props I will need and buildings, make some terrain, model the props in blender and sort of just place it randomly until it looks good and plays well.
