If you want the badass battery, holla at your bud, i'll make it happen . My buds at UpgradeEnergy only use the best cells, and they manufacture and Warranty the packs in the USA. I had them make my Stay High Field Charging Packs after meeting their engineer and confirming they knew their shit. Do you guys want long range 18650 and 21700 packs? I usually cater to freestyle, but happy to give the people what they want 🙌
Perfect timing. Im looking for some packs for my 7inch
@@LudicrousFPV I was very happy with mine, could def have done 7km.
I've had excellent luck building my own 6s packs with molicell 21700 cells. I use them for fixed wings with 2 hours of flight time and I get way too bored after 45 minutes with a quad so I don't know how long my 7 inch flies with it.
Do you ship to the uk ?
@@LudicrousFPV yup👍
No speed and no altitude on OSD, and way out over the water! Just crazy! Well done!!
Takes off over water with hardly any OSD... legend
absolutely mental right 🤣🤣
That was awesome! You're really stepping it up and getting comfortable with the range.
Wesley Varti is master on LR , FalconRad FPV has awesome vid´s too , RcSchim EU based channel. So far so good , I use a 7inch mark4 frame which is much lighter but with 4s2p5200mah and crsf as rc link you can expect 10km out and 10km back.
Love the mini Chris Farley “down by the river” thats all i see whenever thats said too. Hahaha congrats on that long flight sketch.
searching drones and my man has Prof for intro music. Instant Fan.
Great flight! Love the antennas in the front ❤
Love the mini Chris Farley “down by the river” thats all i see whenever thats said too hahaha.
Congrats to your new long range record! Really great flight! 💯🔥👌
Bloody awesome
Put Inav on it. Set a way point mission and let it rip. If your FC has a barometer use it. Change your batt low end to 2.9 volts per cell.
I would like to see bot use inav
Awesome Dawg!
That was nuts
Awesome Bot well done 👍🏻🚀
Awesome range test bro that island looked dope too! 🤟👍🔥🔥🔥
You can check the MAH with the OSD and check the MAH on your charger
I am expecting a flight to Cuba from that thumbnail!
Nice on the edge of my seat 🏁
That was awesome
Nice Video!
This was freaking sweet dude. Can't wait to start testing long range runs.
great buddy, congratz! I would never. ever. even. try. . . .
You would have made it to the island no problem, also. crazy stuff
Hi Bot! Great flight! Falcon 7 can carry 2 LiOn 6s 21700 packs and as result 27-30 minutes flight time. Drop it further! )
Nice freaking L O N G range flight,EPIC!
BBOOOOOTTTT! Getting good at LR bro. Killin it as always.
Hells yeah Bot 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Freakin awesome bro!!!! I love my Falcon 7!!!
love the long range instant click to watch
Love it
Unreal Bot! That was crazy far! Gorilla ELRS 900mhz FTW and Foxeer 2.5Ws FTW!
🤬 yeah BotGod!! That was an awesome long range flight. I'll have to look into that battery pack. Great job bro. 🤙🏾
Always loving your vids, bro! My first choice to watch when I get in from work!
I should probably chuck you a few quid sometime!
I've been going similar distances with my mod'd Flywoo LR4 and it can be proper nerve racking with each glitch of the video link.
You'll have a bit more confidence in your batt if you calibrate the amp meter and display the used current in your OSD. That'll tell you how much of your pack you've used, in mAh. They say, as a rule of thumb, use 1/3 on the outbound, saving 2/3 batt for the journey home.
For me, keeping those antenna pointed at the craft ain't always easy. I'm usually flying solo and, when I fly in to land, I see myself looking either up or down too far. I'm sure I could go much further with a ground station (fixed antenna).
Keep on making the good shit, bro... and smoking it! We all need it..! :-D
Full speed ahead on 7 now, easily got that 🙌. Glad you put that little clip at the end as well 😆
That was sick going LR on water!😱... i rather do it on land... awesome stuff bot!! can't wait to see next 7km!
Hell ya, I would add altitude to the OSD, throttle percent, speed, even amp draw and mah/mile or mah/km if that's what your into, it all helps in long range especially if you have to limp it back on a dead battery and you're right about using two packs, one probably isn't sufficient for the amp draw on a heavy 7"
Also 17k for the park in less than 10 days is sick!
Nice job man you're getting better and better at it keep up the good work nothing greater than a heart pounding long distance flight I think you were flying down the Susquehanna I live where it starts in Upstate New York keep going and have fun
My bad you were on the next River over Delaware another Cool River to fly on though
Wooooooo!!!!! Fuck yeh bro! Letsgoooo!!!! Well done mate, fist bump from across the pond man 👊👊👊
So sick congrats bro you got me wanting to try some long range now
Dude do it! especially for hardcore freestyle pilots its a nice change of pace to stress out about remaining lipo vs cashing and destroying haha, i think you would dig the challenge.
@@BOTGRINDER yea a whole new panic attack of anxiety to conquer im down lol
hear me out - it's so nice to see that you built in that "muscle memory" to remember all cameras, to start recording, check on everything, proper pre-flight for long range and making sure all stuff is doing right... takes a few fuckups but at some point we're steady ready for that flight :D add that altitude meter onto OSD and you're good! :D
Lets build a drone paradise! fpvpark.com
Bot, that link still doesn't work for me. Tried in Firefox and Chrome. I wanna donate dam it! LOL!
Congrats Bot!! Now go put numerical vario and efficiency on your OSD. You will go much further :)
Far out man😁
I've never done a long range test! I'd be to afraid for return flight, especially over water....u got ballz sir! Another great video BOT I hope we get our park I will be contributing some of every other paycheck 😀 till we get our dream fpv paradise cheers
That was pretty intense 🎃
6k?! That is some range for sure. I'll watch the 7k video when it comes out, really enjoyed this one
Dude that was awesome! lol your mouth moving sped up 🤣
great stuff, my heart pounds if i go a half mile away hehehe
Well done 3.7 miles!!!! I get nervous after 2nd mile. long walk ya know, I would like to know more about this gorillas long range. My Crossfire has been acting up lately so much that my trust level has gone way down with the system so yea would love to hear more about your system in a future video or something. EDIT: After clicking on the link I see it just a packaged ELRS system but cool beans anyway dude. You ready to travel the world LONG RANG!!!!
It will lesson your panic attacks on long range flights if you use a ground station and hook it to the googles. You won't have to keep remembering yourself to keep your head aimed at the quad, and having a stiff neck lol
brotther. wow,you shared insane !;))
Now time to push it to 4-5 milessss
That is so cool :) I put the speed in the OSD for long range so I can tell if the wind is slowing it down.
Mint bro! Love ur style - go for LR PB ... over water! My man
Nice LR ! I hope I can get a 6km 12km round trip flight one day. Crazy!
Fricken maniac, awesome. I hate going off on an adventure and forgetting where to go back home lmao
Oh maaaan that was intense - I tried to sit still here at my desk but couldn't resist to stand up and comment your flight like a boxing commentator
Boom
Intense….I was stressed just watching it…. Congrats… keep going….
Awesome flight bro! 🎉 My record is 2km😆
Damn! had me nervous just sitting at my computer lol
Im still shaking lol
It must be a totally different way of getting "high". Getting high on stress, anxiety, and nervousness. Not my cup of 🍵 tea, but each to their own.
Me, I prefer Indica. 😎🤘
@@KOrnhOliO1 It's actually really relaxing if you are flying in the mountains and not worrying about going as far as possible just exploring some mountain sides a couple miles out. You have to get through that first stress of being on the edge of video and control though and learn the limits of your gear and when to turn back. Being willing and able to hike for it also helps ease some anxiety if you actually want to send it down the mountain.
East Coasters who want to fly long range gotta do it over water. Adds extra level of sweaty palms but also extra adrenaline! Inspiring flight, BG!
Thanks for watching!
you should have scouted the island!
Btw you can turn around at 3.4/3.3 volts as long as you have the wind behind you on the way back ;)
Holy shit!
That LQ though. *al bacio*
Man, I remember how much anxiety I had the first time my Mavic Mini went out of sight. And that shit had all kinds of checks and balances. Bravo for them brass nuts bro!
"Idgaf fuck you" 🤣 honestly I feel like leaving my backyard is far, so this is huge to me! Lol I don't watch LR flights, so yours is top tier to me! 🥳🥳🥳😁👍
you have to try their new 45B cells so we can all see the difference between the 2 packs!
Still at 3.4 when you landed, totally could have gone 7km! I would really have had to wear my brown pants doing that though, great flight!
"That's not you...." LMFAO
Ah, the Roland 808 box 😂
After a few lipo died from my stupidity I thought I may well just be a li ion kinda guy roarrrrr
Dude. I'm still winning the priceless jewel on Ebay. Geeked, yo.
Nice rippage! I thought you can take li ion cells to 2.5. Woops! 😂😂
You can but, they drop fast under 3v I think most people recommend 2.8 as the cutoff for cell health as well.
Nice one dude, battery looked strong... Little bit further even?
Great video, LR is always stressful no matter how much do it. Putting Mah used, amp draw, alt and speed would be super useful next time though.
Nice job bro! Maybe it would be good along with that barro to add throttle position to the OSD for LR ? :D
Bro 6km on a quad with 1 battery that's God like!! 😊
Fuck YA - that was insane! oh and and that park was nice, no wonder you were able to keep your cool doing such nerve wracking flying!
That's how I eat my pizza too! Never seen anyone else do it :D
This was the most stressful watch so far haha
"Don't have much for landmarks, but I got this little boat" 🤣
Donated brosefff! lets get this shit BUILT!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
You may not be FalconRad...but I noticed his "spotter" was wearing a TechnoGrinder shirt in his last CliffDiving video. 😜
Dude I saw that! Hahah
oi oi oi well done! you should consider inav. all the osd info you'll ever need and rth with auto landing and disarm. you'll never fear sketchy video again.
Oh shit good call, im going to look into it
@@BOTGRINDER you'll need a GPS with a compass like a bn880 (or a smaller matek one), and plenty of testing to dial it all in bit it's definitely worth the effort. Makes venturing out far slightly less brown trouser inducing.
@@tmc-fpv Some FC's have compass built in or you can just add a compass module they're like $1 from china and you don't have to worry about getting the compass calibration angle's matched to the gps just mount it flat in the correct orientation. For me compass calibration was the only tricky part my first time setting up inav.
@@thirtythreeeyes8624 this is true. My first foray into inav was with a mamba mk2 FC. I used a bn880 and an external baro module wired up to the SDA/SCL pads.
I mostly run inav now. I evan made up a ripping 5inch quad (my 'inavgul') the same time the DJI potato was released to demonstrate the potatoes poshold and rth features were nothing special. My sub 3inch quads are all on Emu.
Inav on a wing tho is the shiz!
👏👏👏
nice. 😅
👍🏻👍🏻
That was fucking gnarly, good shit
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Pea patch island Bot
Heli got revenge
Lmao, I carry one of them mini bats in my car too
👍👍
just make the Lion packs your self. Its super cheap and easy.
Easy if you have a spot welder, dont want to heat soak cells with a soldering iron 👍
@@Fly_High_FPV Its really not a big deal. I've done it a few times and would not hesitate to do it again! Spot welders run the risk of puncturing the cells.
@Crixus The Gaul soldering is not the right way to make your own packs. If you dont have a spot welder, the best thing is to buy pre-tabbed cells, so you can solder leads on tabs instead of ruining the chemistry with heat (cooking your capacity) and risking fire. Ive made packs for decades, and I highly recommend against direct soldlering li-ion cells 👍
@@Fly_High_FPV Then why are you not making your own packs? I am widely aware of the risks, but hadn't heard of the pre tabbed cells. That is interesting.
You need to set up your OSD better for long range work on this quad.
For starters you’re using the wrong LQ value for ELRS.
Having speed, altitude, and maybe a artificial horizon would also be helpful.
Any one thinking to use Dewalt Powerstack battery cells? That would be awesome 👌
Fuck yeah. Repping the wormrot!!!
hell yeah! did you hear arif the singer left? they are looking for a new singer cant wait to see who they pick.
@@BOTGRINDER yes. I was very sad to hear about that. He had a great “grindcore” voice. Fingers cross they get a replacement as good as arif.
Why you not put the Yoused mAh of the Battery in the OSD?
It meight be not correct but you can make one flight youse 500mAh, land note it on Trash paper, and look while charging how many mAh put back with the charger.
Nice one Bot! 6k is a huge thing! 😎
