    Couldn’t be more grateful for this man’s teachings. I’m coming out of a reformed mindset and am wanting to truly grasp this. It’s like being brainwashed! I do believe this to be true and that our works are entirely separate from our salvation and thus have zero merit. Can some saints please pray for me that this sinks in, and that Jesus selflessly endured indescribable torture for unworthy people such as myself, and that I fully embrace this free gift? I do believe it to be true, that Jesus is who he says he is and that he conquered death, sin, and ascended to the father so that we have a cause for hope and reason to believe in order to be reconciled to the Almighty God.

    Eternal security is PREVELANT in the scriptures. If one
    does not believe in eternal security, then he or she is saying, in effect, “I have to do something to obtain it or keep it.” This results in NOT BELIEVING (putting total confidence in) the gospel and putting SOME amount of confidence in his or her self. To teach otherwise is unbiblical and pure heresy. Romans 4:5, Titus 3:5, Eph 2:8-9.

      Yes but if you die in your willful sin such as spousal abuse, fornication etc. surely you go to hell, correct?

    New info, for me, for sure. Current question: how do we know where/when these dispensational shifts occur?

    How can you " make" Christ Lord? He already is the Lord that we are told to believe in to be saved, Acts 16:31, 18:8 etc. And what do you do with false conversions? If a person believed or claimed to belive in Jesus , then became an unrepentant atheist, is that person assured of their salvation?

    @26:40 "He makes reference to a church (εκκλησι) something that has never been alluded to before".. got news for you guys, everywhere you see the word "assembly" in the OT, from Deut 4:10 to Joel 2:16 and all 99 other references in between naming the "day of the assembly" (each non-synagogue reference) is using the word εκκλησι... your translators may not want to let you know this, but for the first 11 centuries of Christianity when all the Christians had was the GREEK OT (bc God meant to do that)... the word εκκλησι was well referenced, 100x in the OT and 120x in the NT

    The fact still remains, unless you carry your cross everyday, you cannot be a disciple(Christian). Even the demons believe, but are not saved. Not everyone who call me Lord will be saved. You can't live however you want, and still expect to go to Heaven. We are commanded to live as Christ.

      @Adam H Love this response. This is exactly what I think of the people who support Lordship Salvation. Before I ever want to hear them spouting this from their lips, I want them to look at their own lives first. Are *they* doing everything they are preaching? By their own yardstick, they're not even saved.

      @@swtor20 Interesting Freudian slip if there ever was one. The “look at their own lives first” remark says it all, doesn’t it? We are to look at the finished work of Christ first and above all, separate from our own works. Where in the scriptures are works and salvation intertwined? Salvation is believing in Jesus Christ alone through faith by his grace, and it’s extremely clear about 150 times in the NT whereby Paul is preaching the gospel of grace. Why do we complicate and reject the good news?

      I agree absolutely in what you're saying. We are saved by grace through faith and that not of ourselves, this is what the Bible teaches.
      I think you may have misunderstood my post. What I was saying was a rhetorical question to the folks who support Lordship Salvation.
      The people who support Lordship Salvation tend to make our salvation (which is by Faith alone in christ alone, like what you and I are saying) by not looking at Christ (which is an objective measure) but they tend to make it by looking inward at our fruit. This is extremely subjective because it begs the question, how much fruit? How much do I have to give in the offering plate? How many good works do I have to do to prove that I have a faith that saves?
      And another set of questions for *them* who preach this. Are **they** producing enough fruit? Are **they** doing enough good works to prove they have saving faith? How can I even be assured the person preaching this to me is even saved to begin with?
      Do you see how this can be problematic? It's a teaching that takes our eyes off Christ and his finished work onto ourselves. It makes everyone fruit inspectors and creates an atmosphere of outward christians only trying to prove themselves to one another.

      @MrJeffreyDR หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@swtor20 my apologies and thanks so much for clarifying. I’m in wholehearted agreement with everything you say. The only work that is objectively true and complete is the perfect work of Christ. Our good works are always desired but certainly not required in order to be justified.
      I’m admittedly pretty new to free grace and only discovered this four weeks ago through a social media post from a friend about Andy Woods. I was into the new age for many years and then a couple years ago was led to a reformed church and was consequently brainwashed by all the usual suspects like Sproul and MacA et al. Now I feel like I’m hearing the gospel for the very first time!
      I do have a follow up question that nobody in the free grace camp seems to want to answer: What if a person dies in their sin? Don’t they go to hell? Thanks
