We've been designing backyard cottages in California since 2008 before they were called Accessory Dwelling Units.
Our ADU floor plans always feature Universal Design concepts that make these homes flexible spaces that accommodate and support the residents at all ages and stages of life.
The Spruce plan features an L-shape that opens to the big house, creating a shared courtyard with the primary residence. It's a really beautiful home that takes full advantage of the beautiful Californian outdoors, as you can see from the video tour.
This is an ADU that showcases our customizable floor plan sets. This is "Spruce", a 2-room Accessory Dwelling Unit built off our "Addison" floor plan. We love the "his and hers" home office nook that opens up into the yard and acts as a small foyer between the bedroom and the big open yard.
Our client picked out beautiful Heath tiles in both the bathroom and kitchen backsplash. The patio is a stunner when you open up those big bi-folding doors that give you a direct line of sight from the big bedroom to the living room/full kitchen!
Anybody can explore our ADU floor plans. These are plans that we've designed and they've been built so they're proven and beloved by real homeowners. And we can use them as a starting point for your ADU design too.
