I taught 16 years in York County and I never visited all the Historical areas. My father took me to the battlefields when I was young. I am going to take my Granddaughter to this area. Thank you for this informative video.

Great Video Mike! Thank you for sharing, my brother lives in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I will be visiting him soon and will be driving over to Yorktown myself to do a video as well.

Nice presentation of the "New Yorktowne". The historic area is beautiful but the waterfront was a dump and an eyesore. The new waterfront area is a site to behold. Bravo to the local Government of Yorktowne Bravo to the videographer of catching the best Yorktowne

You should have gone to the battlefields they have markers and redouts very interesting. One marker tell you Hamilton was standing here charging the British. It is history.

Thanks, Mike, good video. I grew up near there, didn't really appreciate the significance of the area until I was older.

Enjoyed your video and seeing the area. Trying to decide where to go for a long weekend to see areas like Gettyburg.

Mike, your photography is excellent. I'm going on a road trip in a little over a month and will be exploring Yorktown and Jamestown as I travel down the eastern seaboard. A suggestion: please do a little research before you make these short travel videos so they can be more informative and entertaining ... for instance how tall is the Victory Monument? When was Yorktown founded and by whom? Were there slaves there? What kind of flower is that at 5:29?

At the Nelson House there are cannonballs stuck into the side of the building by the road from when the British shelled the city.

Yeah, why gaze upon the hollowed ground of the actual reason Yorktown is important. Empty fields where men laid down their lives so their children and their children's children could be free from the yoke of Tyranny is totally boring.

I agree the historical importance is beyond great. I hope to return so I capture the battlefields and history this area deserves. I just didn't get a chance to this time
