Idk why but I cried while watching this? First of all you’re killin the new look but also was so apparent that a lot of emotional weight was lifted off of you as soon as that hair came off. It was almost the same when I finally cut my hair.sometimes you just need a change.
I legit cried too when she said her parents were looking down on her.. and she was so happy and free with it she wasn’t sad it was beautiful she’s an absolutely beautiful soul.

This reminds me of the time I first shaved my head when I was 20 years old. It was so liberating! And I felt sexier than I ever felt before. lol. I still have short hair but I've filled out some in my "old age". I miss the androgyny.

Through talk therapy, for exactly a year now today, I have realized so many things, but mainly one thing: I deserve the space I take up. I have spent my life “earning” my space, as if I didn’t already earn it by just being. You said exactly what is my big lesson in life. And I would want to add: by taking care of yourself, loving yourself, you are indirectly also caring for others. And by caring for yourself, you are caring for you mother and father’s daughter. Do you burn it and pray when you cut your hair? even a trim I say a prayer I remember when I buzzed my hair when I was 19 my grandmother who raised me passed away. my hair is now waist length and my life is filled with love and a financial stability that I didn't think existed when I was younger.
