Do remember that Psygnosis didn't actually make the games, they were just the publishers The development teams are the ones that you should thank. Namely, DMA Design, Reflections, TT, and a host of others who worked for Psygnosis.

Ho riascoltato questa colonna sonora dopo anni. E' incredibile come sia invecchiata bene. All'inizio credevo fosse un pezzo dei Paradise Lost. Che ricordi, e che bello aver vissuto quell'epoca. Amiga per sempre !
When I used to play this game I remember getting lost in these amazing pictures. When a bunch of pixels brought me far away....it was kinda romantic. Never got to finish the game. That owl kept diyng over and over again.
If I remember right the game was 3 diskettes. Once I was able to finish the game and the game stuck. Finally after 30 years I saw its ending from TH-cam . Got goosebumps from the opening piano intro at 00:13, its so magical!
Such emotion to this music for being only a vague imitation of piano and strings. The Amiga had amazing sound capabilities for its time, and songs like this took full advantage of the power of that hardware. It's always nice to be surprised by game music that I wasn't familiar with yet, and this song has been stuck in my head ever since I watched the Amiga game music collection. First song is this beautiful piece and it just sticks with you.
This is still one of the most epic theme-songs ever made in an amiga game for me. I loved the game. The only thing I have to remark is that the stereo doesn't really do it justice. It sounds very.. 'over-divided'. Still, it's a treat to hear this again, and awesome enough to take that stereo-over-dividing for potatoes. Awesome, thanks for this.
That was just how the Amiga audio was, 2 channels hard left, 2 channels hard right. I always used to play through a TV and later a mixing desk where I panned them a lot narrower.
I used to load Amiga tunes into a tracker called Startracker , loved looking at the notes fly by verticaly , i remember loadng the theme for Escape from Colditz, love that tune.
Psygnosis,Amiga500, music soundtracks from Another World.....Another World......unlimited games, beautifull games.....so much memories.....i was so lucky to live as a gamer back then .......everything is lost.....
If you ripped this song and played it with Octamed all the names of the instruments formed a message, I don´t remember exactly what it said but it was something about a person probably a woman judging by the name, and the wish that she had peace in the afterlife or something like that. Guess the sad feeling that the song has had an origin.
I played that game when i was very young , around 5 or 6 , these graphics ever seems violent to me in some way , reflecting the darkness of the game and its osts , leaving me contemplating these backgrounds for minutes with the fear it was suppose to create in me .
It's possible there is a version which uses Hüelsbecks TMFX 7 channel system, but I have a module rip which plays back in standard 4 channel protracker. Maybe just clever composition? The ingame tunes use a weird custom routine though.
Recuerdo que hice con lápiz una copia exacta de estas imágenes cuando tenia 9 años :-) me encanta esta música, también disfrute mucho el juego, buenos momentos con mi Commodore Amiga 500.
nobody can understand those pics without an interlaced monitor. And no one can understand this music if he s not 12 Yo playing this on a 1080s monitor. peace
This was the best intro ever, tks so much for uploading :) does any good soul happen to have or know where can I find this in midi or tabs? many tks!! Amiga4Ever

Interesting the relationships of media copying with this game. The cover of the game's box art was copied from the cover used for the "Planet of Death" ZX Spectrum adventure game.
Musicians have been doing this "stealing" of ideas from each other for a very long time, likely since we first "invented" music. It's only been in the last hundred years or so that people have gotten intensely butthurt over it.
Also, why not just be honest about attribution? It wouldn't hurt you in anyway - instead, you can actually grow better. If you are heavily influenced by someone's styles, it obviously means you like them, so why not be honest and tell the whole story?
That was the pinnacle of art and music on Amiga. A part of human history.
The graphics were stunning, and the loading songs transported you to another world. It was truly a great time to be alive.
There will never be another gaming company like Psygnosis.
+Seth Devita I'd argue that Final Fantasy X title piece is better, but absolutely agree this is the best one on Amiga.
Oh it will.
Psyonix sounds simliar 😅

I was 16 years when I heard this for the fist time. It still touches my soul today as it did decades ago.
dimmu borgir's "sorgens kammer I" brought me here
here's another

Same here :D
Me not! I knewed Agony in 1994, and I was 14 Yeats old. In a second time I learned the existence of Dimmu Borgir band
you know dimmu stole this
Today died Ian Hetherington,co founder of Psygnosis and one of the fathers of this great game,in your honor IAN.
Absolutely fantastic. I probably sat listening to this longer than I did playing the game. Timeless.
Me to still gives me shivers such a great peace of music

All'inizio sembra Enchantment dei P.L.😂 e si...l'amiga500 è stato il nostro Santo Graal.
Agony, Turrican, Xenon 2 ... Legends never die 🙂

It took 1 diskette to load this music. I remeber it since 1993 and this one is haunting me every day. I am glad I found it on internet. Thanks!
Oh my GOD ! It's all coming back to me now ! I haven't heard this song for about 20 years on my Amiga 500 !!! Thank you very much !
Absolutly timeless and wonderfull.
Last year the Psygnosis owl went finally to his sleep.
Thanks for the good times.

It's just cheap samples played back, no real amazing sound capabilites :P the SID in the C64 was really amazing in that context.

Best game music. Amiga rules!
I'm glad dimmu borgir covered this or I'd have never found this beautiful tune :,)
Yes, if you think about it, it's not so bad that he copied it.
They didn't really cover it; their keyboardist plagiarized it.
In what song did Dimmu Borgir cover this? I actually played Agony in my childhood, but I like covers of old video games music.
@@AdilAlsuhaim I don't know who copied from whom, but the tune was used for "Sorgens Kammer", in case you wanted to know that...
@@McNeck-wy3vb Dimmu Borgir (or rather their keyboardist) stole it from the game. The game was released in 1992, Stormblåst released in 1996.
I remember the actual mod file itself (protracker 4 channel) for this tune had text in one of the sample descriptions that said "for Ms. Quinn"
I used to load Amiga tunes into a tracker called Startracker , loved looking at the notes fly by verticaly , i remember loadng the theme for Escape from Colditz, love that tune.

Robert Cornhole gay version tho. should of put the original one from their early days
those were the days my friend
Just realized this is a binaural song. You can only hear part of the song with one earbud. Wow.
I listen to this since like 30 years.
Ahhhh...
That Paula music chip..
This and lotus turbochallenge.
I used to connect with pioneer midi system with 3way 100watt surround system.
Tim Wright, thank you! Niente3, thanks for sharing ofc.
My favorite!! Simply perfect, thak you!
Its too bootiful!!!
Wow, a definate contrast to Tim Wright's later work as CoLD StoRAGE on the WipEout series
Such a motivating soundtrack.
Simply beautiful
the good old time :) i love it
My memory tells me that like Turrican II this music is using a custom 7 channel sound driver, the amiga only had 4 official channels.
It's possible there is a version which uses Hüelsbecks TMFX 7 channel system, but I have a module rip which plays back in standard 4 channel protracker. Maybe just clever composition? The ingame tunes use a weird custom routine though.
Just a clever use of the four channels, you can rip it using Action Replay and play it in OctaMED
multiplexing
Hi if you load agony module on fasttracker or other tracker; u can see that the compositor made this song for her dead musical professor of piano...
Her? The composer is Tim Wright and is a man.
Absolutely beautiful tune. Dimmu got NOTHING on this bro!
IDK Dimmu's version is so good

yeah, love this one, epic.
Look up the Dimmu Borgir song called "Sorgens kammer" if you like this one.

I'm not expert in classical music, but the perfection of this piece is Mozart level, imho.

bellissima.
very good song i like it
Dunno what it’s like knowing this is metal melody instead of a game theme 😢
It's a game theme in the metal genre, which was then stolen by a metal band.
Emotional Music, thanks to the musician....
best game of amiga
Dimmu stole both this and 'Sacred Hour', in different songs of theirs.
They suck anyway😂
best game of this world:)
My Fave music next to The Imortal soundtrack.
RIP Psygnosis
We have a common interest :)
F*ck yeah dude!
