My favourite is the hieroglyphics that you see at the start and near the end. The shot of the Stag punchering the dragons throat, depicting Robert crushing the Targaryens was cool asf. The second best shot was the last bit where the lion and the Kraken ( The animal behind the Stag I believe?) was sort of bowing down to the Stag.
Full Moon Lover It is a wonderful show, but it is unfortunately not steampunk, though that could make for a cool series. Game of Thrones is certainly heavy on the medieval setting.
My 22 month old son love watching this and he loves the song too. He has to watch it over and over again for bed time, puts him right to sleep. A boy has good taste.
Never skip the opening credit sequence. The music and visuals put you in the proper frame of mind, and the various locations shown actually hint at the events of the episode. In the final season, the sequences became more detailed, and gave key clues, like when The Wall near Eastwatch is destroyed, or when the sigil of House Targaryen isn't raised above the Iron Throne in the final episode. That last bit clued me in as to the fate of Daenerys.

I just noticed something: The rings around the sun-orb-thing show events from the history of this world: The Doom of Valyria with a volcano erupting and destroying cities; Robbert's Rebellion with a Stag, a Direwolf and a Lion fighting a Three Headed Dragon; and Robbert's Crowning as all animals bow to a crowned Stag. It took me WAY too many years to see that.
This opening has the best 3d graphical map presentation I have seen in my life...with THAT THEME!!!! ITS just aWeSoMe....... When I 1st saw this....I thought I was seeing a real historic 3d map.....but then I saw the names and I was like: Ya thats fictional....
