Thanks Kris! I feel that they wanted it to be rather special but missed the picture first of all with the price, and design is personal I guess so I wont comment on that.
You have to supply surprise and dazzle with a 100+ Euro price tag whatever your brand is.
Being a Lotus I think they overshot by a big margin, it will repel rater than attract.
I think you got the review spot on.
I’ve also driven this car with a view to purchase. And similarly came away somehow disappointed. It’s an emotional thing but at this price you expect to be swept off your feet. I wasn’t! Exterior styling is clumsy at the rear and the interior lacks cohesion. And the driving experience was pretty standard. At €80,000 it’s a winner but at €120,000+ it disappoints and is set to depreciate massively. Range is a disaster too I understand!

Please lose the background music. It is really distracting. But the review is conflicting. You say it is the probably the best driving suv? But then you critique the steering?
What do you mean? I clearly explain the different aspects of how it drives. Ride, handling, body control, dampening, initial impact, suspension over large bumps, how it corners, how the steering is weighted, how precise it is and what it feels like. I was pretty detailed on how it drives in the video. There is no conflict. You understand that how a car handles corners and controls its body is separate to how precise the steering is or how it feels right? Those are separate things.
@@KrisRifa ah, ok. Well then that wasn’t clear for me. I thought part of the sentence “best driving suv” and then the critique on the steering did not feel as it belongs together. But if you explain it like that, and that is important to you, I understand. The car gets great reviews on these aspects by many others. I guess these emotional things are personal. I will be test driving the car soon. This car is exactly in my alley and got around 100.000 eur as my budget. I dislike Audi, Polestar and volvo purely because on aesthetics. So it is between the BMW iX, Tesla model X and this car (base model, not the S) for me.

It’s Chinese car with a lotus badge, interior is great but screens are poor. Styling outside to be honest is a mess.

@@donvanvliet9477 I've tested this in several videos and have yet to see any difference when comparing one pedal vs regen vs no regen.
Try it first. As Kris says, it really is that good. Don’t know if the Lotus team developed their own algorithms, but Volvo-Polestar have really nailed it. Use it all the time. My wife prefers not to as her regular drive is an ICE car. Regardless, regen does the primary braking to about .3G, unless ABS or ASC are needed.
That said, I prefer the Polestar 3 or 4 for looks and interior. Less fussy.

The reviewer might like the R better, it's the hot rod and has torque vectoring and 900+hp. The criticism of the interior is the real eye-opener here vis-a-vis what's out on most TH-cam reviews. Most are just blown away by the interior quality of this vehicle.
Its a SUV not at sport car!!!! 🤣
No money in the world would make buy this car. Even a Volvo EX30 is a beter looking car
