Hi Catfish Team, Your Vids fed into my TH-cam from other scammers. This isn't something that's affected me but I feel sorry for the victims and puzzled they fall for some of the bizarre stories. But I'd an idea for a Video. Which is a scammers eye view, a short fictional movie, of a group of Nigerian men in a scam team. How they pick and prey on those they steal the identify of and those they bait and take cash from. Seeing they're being seduced by a 40 year old, bald, over weight, ugly dude, smoking a cigar and laughing at them. Opposed to a 25 year old, lip smacking, luscious honey, who loves them. Might repel and wake up some of them, that find it hard to accept and want to keep in contact. And wake them up, that the scammers are never going to have a guilty conscious for what they do. They are just going to keep laughing and asking for more money.
I think a lot of old people just don't realize how old they really are, because in their minds they're younger. I also think a lot of them have lived pretty sheltered lives, most people they've come across in their lives have been who they claim to be. They haven't been trained in sceptical thinking, so perhaps the thought of a scammer haven't even crossed their minds. And also, I think a lot are very stubborn, like the guy in this clip seem to be (I've only seen the preview so far), so if somebody in the family tell them something, they do the opposite, so they will have it their way.
I notice a lot of the older women who fall for these scams have one thing in common - I call it "mutton dressed as lamb." They dye their hair and are making an effort to look a lot younger than they are. So maybe they think they are attractive to younger men.
Hollywood actors/stars go for women 20+ years younger all the time. Dennis Quaid married a girl in her 20’s and he’s in his 60’s! Mark Anthony just married a woman in her early 20’s and he’s in his 50’s! A lot of men are always needing their ego boosted, when they don’t see how creepy they’re being. 😖
Yeah, in our family we say we need an ABM (anyone but me) source, as the parents will listen to a stranger but dismiss the same info from their grown children.
I had my mother do that as well so not just men. On her death bed, she admitted she was stubborn and a buttinsky [always butted into MY life, as if I was an idiot!!]. Hence, she would never believe me when I warned her of people taking advantage. The sheer arrogance!
I will never understand why elderly people trust complete strangers more than their own family. It's like their loved ones were all nasty money grabbers while a random person from the internet seems to be a saint. 🤦♀️
@Blue Cat People from 1930s-1950s had more trust. Sure there were con men bk then too but they are unfamiliar w/ cyber scams + they still think everyone is ‘ nice ‘
@c I disagree. Scamming has been around since time began! My dad was born in 1915 and he wouldn't have given a stranger a bunch of money! Some people are just stupid
I think it's because they don't truly understand the internet. They are used to trusting their eyes their whole life, so they believe that what they see with their own eyes is true. They have never developed a certain type of critical thinking. Another factor is (and this is scientifically proven) that people who grew up with stict religious scripture that was not to be questioned, that they have more trouble with critically analysing any source of information, especially what is written down. That's why scammers especially target Christians (preferably older widows who married young), and go on Christian dating sites. How many times have we seen these older ladies who just got scammed out of thousands of dollars saying: 'But he said he was a Christian so I trusted him completely'. And another factor is that these older widows never got into the modern dating market. They maried 50 years ago. They still are naive, inexperienced teenagers in a way. I think these factors combined cause elderly people, and especially women, to trust others (too) easily.
I didnt "love him" the moment i saw him. I saw a thoroughly unpleasant, arrogant, angry man who bullies and speaks badly to his son who only has his best interests at heart. Hes not a nice guy at all.
I would have kicked his ass out and I can see he is a bastard of an old man. I may not be the ‘best’ child BUT I am no one’s doormat and I would not put my own family on the line for this old coot.
I didn't see them walking on eggshells, I saw his son confronting him, proudly and honestly and without fear. I was thinking about how if it was my dad, we'd just have to let the scammers get him, because none of us would be brave enough to make a peep after all the years we were bullied by him. I thought Jose and Felix seemed to have a pretty good relationship.
It seems more like he is having cognitive issues after his stroke. It’s scary to think how when the brain starts going you become this vulnerable to predators
The porn actress was absolutely right when she said, "I think some of you WANT to be scammed," and he freely admitted it when he said, "I don't care, this makes me happy." At that point, what can you do besides step back and let them give away all of their money to some guy in Nigeria?
Yeah instead of making your family happier with all that money, give it to the scammers in Nigeria. They already laugh their asses off for sure about men like him.
That’s what I thought. This is service for some of them, if I could make this a business I would but then I’d have no customers because they LIKE to be tricked. They like the initial persuasion because even when they’re told after that it’s a lie, they still go
The best part: these are your tax dollars going to them. I think that all boomers that buy gift cards in excess should be flagged and banned from receiving SS
It is some ppl crave to be exposed doing disgusting things black mail financial abuse all kinds of stuff I used to date this dentist chick & I had money & have no problem taking care of myself she would cash app me half her check within 2min of receiving it never allowed me to buy anything with the money either every Jordan dropped she waited in line for em even ones I didn’t want, I only wore Balmain & Diesel Jeans for like 2 years straight, granted I did actually fuck her brains loose 3-4x a week and spent time with her after a while she straight up said that I didn’t get the hint that she wanted to be used more & her fetish is getting used by “street guys” I was offended I only sold drugs I wasn’t a street guy I worked in a hospital 😂 she always asked why the hell do I get up & work when she’ll pay for everything it was cool until she said it out loud like that think I broke up with her like 3-4mo after that bitch would’ve murdered me eventually 😂
He wants to live his life "his way." Then when he has no money left he'll wind up living with his kids, using up their resources (food, medical, housing, etc.) which essentially means that they are indirectly paying those scamners. Foolish old man.
He already lives with his son. Which makes it even more frustrating. His son is housing him and caring for him. He treats his son horribly while giving everything to strangers online.
My grandma was like this too. She fell for a bunch of scams and was giving away all her money, and when we tried to step in she lashed out at us and told us it's her money and her business and we have no say in it. But then every time she fell in too deep and we didn't immediately help, she would tell everyone how awful we were for not being there for her (obviously we would always help, but for the first few days while we were getting it together, everyone heard about how terrible we were). This was a cycle till the end. I'm afraid that it's extremely common with older ppl and I don't think there is a solution cuz most decent ppl won't let their ageing family members suffer, even though it'll cost them both financially and in terms of time
Well, until then I'm pretty sure he gets to *spend his money his way* . I agree he's being an idiot, and maybe later he'll burden his family, but what the hell do you propose, that if you don't like how someone spends his money you come in and take over? WTF? Fascist much?
@@Sinsteel but his son has to give up his life to care for him? Then his dad doesn't pay his own bills? Why should his son do that when he could walk away?
Want to thank the catfish crew for helping my brother, yes I’m one of his sisters the one sitting with him, blurred face, all this began after the loss of our mom, she was his everything, loneliness has taken a toll on him, the loss of our mom to Covid has broken us in different ways,,
Y’all have wonderful genes. Jose is 68 looking all of 55. I really hope he puts his trust in you guys & the family feels more whole again. It’s a sad situation.
Yes, I have been learning about this. He had classic signs. They also get off on the power of what money does. The beauty begging woman (his control) sees her as damsel in distress (he plays hero). Likes power over family. He didn't like reality though.. No turning around and thanking his son. I've watched a few of these, it's a case of too good to be true but they are feeding an ego. After all who would marry someone they've never met? 😮
@dustersinternational221 true, but wheres the power he feels now? Clearly he must feel powerless now. And how can someone not see the future and see how this would pan out for them.
Yes I totally agree. All of these people, especially the ones that are seniors "age 58 an older" should not be in control of their money when the family finds out that they've been sending their money off to scammers instead of paying their bills
Completely crazy to claim José is not being scammed. Say whaaat? He is 100% being totally scammed. It's a scam because the situation he is in is nothing like what he believes it is. Not only that, but the objective of the scammer is not to provide any service, but simply to drain all José's finances completely. In fact, they are unable to provide any service whatsoever, all they offer José is lies. That's very different from José paying a fee to enjoy a fantasy.
Baah he’s an old school latino street guy. My dads the same. Cuban from Miami, real old school. Him and his brother ran a crew and were gangsters. My dad was pulling women in their 30’s when he was in his 50’s-early 60’s.
Jose hitting on Breanne was so uncomfortable, you could tell she really wasn't okay with it and he only said sorry when she told him she had a husband (i.e. is another man's property already). This man has a lot of issues with how he sees women.
Don’t be so judgmental. It’s part of Hispanic culture, “machismo”. Men are expected to make advances on women they find attractive. To do otherwise is effeminate.
He was acting like a creep. Not to mention at the time he thought he was engaged to someone, which would be disrespectful to his "supposed" fiance. It was really hard to feel sympathy for the guy.
Oh relax... nothing he did was sexual in nature and when she said she was in a relationship he backed off... he's 64 and lonely... give the guy a break... he was willing to send men money because he's so lonely
What gets me is that some of these people who fall for these scams would tell their homeless children to get a job before they gave them money, but they'll gladly send every penny they have to their name to a stranger they met on the internet.
It doesn't matter how many videos I watch, it's fascinating and scary at the same time to see these old men and women believing they can catch a model-level partner even younger than their own children.
And leave their brains in their pants... Looks wealthy and polished but can't afford lunch and begs for money, while the real person does not add up. Who would send money to a rich looking younger woman. They are truly 🤯
Another clueless man with a big ego, and a chip on his shoulder that doesn’t want to be told “what to do,” but then, gets himself into lots of trouble because he won’t listen and take advice from others. My dad was the same way and had a lot of financial problems. This guy is a perv trying to hit on Breanne right off just because she’s young and pretty. 😖
Sheeesh, nothing more cringe worthy than seeing an old man who hasn't learned to stop thinking with his little head and puts on a performance for every pretty face he sees
He’s the type that probably harasses pretty women in the grocery store telling them “they’re too pretty to be frowning” as she’s trying to buy tampons lol
@@MommyHadALittleOne lmao. What’s funny is that literally happened to me recently 😂 I can’t remember what I was buying but he scenario was exactly how you described 🤦🏻♀️ and I’m 42!!
He has sent money to 10 different women?! Oh good grief Jose, you need a 12-step recovery program because this is an addiction. I hope he realizes his family only wants to save him from being scammed out of all his money.
This happened to my 73 year old neighbor. He was being scammed by some gorgeous woman claiming to be in the Ukraine. He sent her so much money that he ended up being evicted because he couldn't pay the rent. Two weeks before he had to be out, he had a heart attack and died alone. I think all the stress she caused him caused it. He wouldn't listen to anyone that she wasn't real...so very, very sad
That's so sad. Being scammed while being retired is more frightening because the opportunities to work to pay back the debt are limited or not possible (health issues/disabilities).
These scammed people get angry at their family and friends and want them to "butt out" of their business. Then, the s**t hits the fan and all their money is gone, some lose their homes too. They then turn to the very people they were cussing out for help!! Just boggles my mind every time!
It's a very odd psychological thing. Personally I start see a million red flags any time a super model sends me a friend request like one should. I feel sorry for people who don't see obvious red flags
That's exactly what happened with a coworker. Seriously she tried to warn her family member and they didn't listen now they're at my coworker's house because they're broke with nowhere to go.
Recall the woman whose dad dropped dead on street with £2900 for his wife whose dying of kidney disease who turned out to be a 23 yr Nigerian man wearing his victims wife's wedding ring boasting scam bling.he lost his home and money left in a motel pre death
@@cedricliggins7528 This is not love. Love is actually being with somebody and sharing. This BS is the absolute polar opposite of 'love.' Old dude says here 'they make me happy.' Just feeding his desperation. That is not love. A smart person trusts family members with more sense than a pack of fugly grasping scammers online. THIS IS NOT LOVE. EVER.
I feel for the kids. They have to watch him treat these scammers like queens while he treats his own kids like garbage. His son is dedicating himself to taking care of his dad, while he snaps at him for trying to protect him.
@@Oliviaandtrina So sad. He'll keep getting scammed because he seems to enjoy it. He shamelessly tried hitting on Brianne from Catfished while being helped....He's out of control
Yeah, at 12:10 he asks Bre ‘what er you doing?’ As if he’s Joey from friends ffs. How YOU doing. I would have hung up on him. He’s way way outta his league. And if he wants to be dishonest regarding his profile, he’s going to get dishonesty right back. Whatta class A pervert! Check him for dementia.
I always love how these people tell their beloved, friends and family to butt out and mind their own business and I love to see the look on their face when they realize they were scammed and they should’ve listened to those very people who were trying to warn them!
I don't get why the family members want to say "it's my life", "I can do what I want", etc. But when they have no more money left, these are the very people they will go to for help. This man would have to rely on his kids if he has no more money. He's not being fair to his kids.
They re so open with everyone a lot of the time and unless I was that tricked I think I'd be embarrassed of their reaction and even if I believed it I would wait til the person really showed up to say anything, I guess telling everyone and being excited is part of the scam, and Idk if the scammers encourage this telling everyone too cause it's ironic that I would think telling everyone would maybe make them realize the scam cause if you hide it you won't even have the chance of an intervention
The fact that they’re willing to do stuff like that boggles the mind. Like, you want to give away all your money because there is a false promise of having your fake girlfriend with you in person, whatever. What would make you think it’s worth it for your family to lose money to them? You think this person is so great that your children will thank you for spending their money to bring this stranger into their life?
@@dharmallars This family is living off their father. Maybe he could pay the bills if they helped him instead of living off him…. Who need’s family that is sucking him dry!!! He is 64… if you live with him why not help out… He is 64 years old🤮
Team: It's a scam! Jose: I don't care, it makes me happy! Team: You're talking to a dude! Jose: I didn't care, it makes me happy! Team: He's black. Jose: ...did you arrest him yet?
It baffled me how he treated Drew and the things he said to him, how he didn't know who he was and basically couldn't trust him. Yet he trusts random "women" that he has never met and trusts them enough to send them money.😮
He probably doesn’t like black people. Notice how he apparently stopped talking to two women once he found out they were from Africa, I’m giving him the side eye.
Right because they are young and beautiful with big boobs! Actually the woman that sent the video explaining she wasn't the scammer had a very foul mouth and seemed heartless and rude.
Maybe if he had tried to date a woman his own age with a few wrinkles and a post menopause waist, he wouldn't keep getting scammed. I just have ZERO sympathy for him. His ego was his downfall. He's very lucky he has family that truly loves him and watches over him. But that's not good enough for him. He wants a supermodel.
That's the issue with 90% of them! They have delusions of grandeur, thinking that they are so special a hot p0rn star half their age wants them. Half of them seem like narcissists like they are sooo unique even Johnny Depp wants them 😂
Why would a young gorgeous woman want anything to do with his elderly, infirm, broke ass? He's NOT trying to meet anyone his age, he's not trying to find love, he's trying to recapture his youth. Sad.
A lot of men that aged think they are “high value” at old age 😂 According to these men , women his aged have hit the wall . He’s not trying to meet a woman, life partner he’s living in la la land to think that a young woman truly wants him and he’s old , sickly, and broke. 😄 He could EASILY find a woman, even one maybe 10 years younger because he is attractive for an old man and he’s definitely charismatic.
So harsh, but so funny and true! Men his age are looking for either a nurse or a purse. I'm in my 60's and wouldn't even want him! How could he possibly believe a young beautiful woman would want any part of sharing a life with him??? Good Lord! These people seriously need mental help!
My daddy is 76 and been single for over 30 years. He's a Veteran and retired from GM after 43 years so he's doing okay financially. My dad never really learned to read or write well and I always have helped him with all that. He never even wanted a cell phone and doesn't text or own/use computers. As sad as I am that he has a hard time with reading and writing, at least I know he will not fall victim to online scammers!!!
Bless you 💓. My father is deceased but was born in 1915. He was 53 and my mom was 48 when they had me. A change of life baby. He only went to the eighth grade. He wasn't illiterate but no formal education. He taught me more than I can say. He forgot more than most people will ever know
You still have to worry about his landline phone. Every day seniors get phone calls from companies selling things, but also scammers. My mom got a call from a "government agency" looking to inspect her roof . She set up a time for this inspection. When I found out, I called the phone number she had for them, and of course it was some kind of scam. I reported it to the police, but never heard a thing after. This is dangerous. I don't know what would have happened. My point is, scammers often use landlines because they know mostly seniors have them.
He wants to do everything his way and everyone stay out of his business until he needs their money for a scammer. Frankly this man is toxic and his family should stay away from him.
Mr. Pink walls' relationship with his family is being affected by his own ego. He stopped talking to his son for over a year because he thought his son disrespected him for telling him something that he didn't want to hear. He claims to be his own man but needs his son to send pictures of gift cards for him and almost lost his house.

@Britt Brat Agree Sibling went to attorney, did guardianship, full access to bank accounts, investments, DNR [per her wishes], had stuff notarized, etc. Now elderly mom = safe. Playing bingo, watching, cinema, music, gardening plant stuff. She’s safe. We took her iPhone and iPad too. [Before all of this, she’d tried to call 911 to say she wanted to go back to the hospital as if she was being held against her will . That false accusation could have landed my sibling in jail for some fake ‘ elder abuse’ claim.]

When someone has a stroke it almost always affects their brain and cognitive abilities. The family should get a Power of Attorney over his financial, legal and medical issues. The fact he found out it was men in Ghana and Nigeria and still wanted to send money because it made him happy means that this is going to keep happening because he can't seem to comprehend exactly what is happening.
You don't have 3 separate women "walk out" on a man if he is a loving >family< man. The wife is part of that family. A man may be a loving, amazing father but that doesn't make him a good husband or a respectful man toward women. Good father/good husband are not even close to the same thing. He has to be both to be a good FAMILY man
His daughter is in the comments saying he's such a great man. She's not seeing things from an unbiased point of view. He may have been an excellent father but obviously not a good husband. Even if people live in the same house they only see things from their point of view. Anyone whose been married for more than 4 or 5 years can tell you that only the wife and husband know what kind of spouse the other is.
@@Raya-ir4tm You can still be a good dad/mom and bad spouse at the same time. People get divorced all the time and that doesn’t automatically make the man a bad father or the woman a bad mother.
Did anyone notice that the first thing most of these victims says is 'she's beautiful" or "he's handsome"? They are all about superficial beauty and that's why it's so easy for them to lose every dime they have.
His children are going to have a HARD time trying to step in for his finances 😔 He’s going to push back every step of the way; he’s just a stubborn old man with a lot of pride and refuses to be wrong. I wish them luck 😊😊😊
I don't know, though. He seems like the kind of guy who's a hard sell but once convinced, he's all in. One day he'll start telling the story as a cautionary tale for others and sing the praises of his kids for saving him (and Breanne, he'll probably completely forget Drew and David).
all they will have to do is petition the court, and if they hire an attorney, even better all of this right here, can be used to make a case against him, having control of his own finances, and based on his behavior and such, I would be willing to bet that there is other examples in instances of his diminished capacity I’m sure it’s not limited to just this romance scam and if for whatever reason they would not have enough evidence to be granted a limited scope guardianship then it would be very simple if he bankrupt himself or gets in over his head financially if he continues to fuck up like that then he’s going to be on his own to face the consequences if he loses everything then, so be it
As a caregiver for the wonderful elderly community, the elderly are used to controlling their finances and household for most of their lives. To have someone treat you like a child it’s ridiculous to them. I have known families to hide credit cards, take returns back to the store and throw away mail (hide medications) just because they are beyond stubborn. It’s very sad but when it’s messing up their wellbeing… you have to get like this! Raw and straight to the point. Tell them how much freedom they will have in a nursing home and I bet they would listen to you!!
This man reminds me SO much of my father, who recently passed. We had a very strained relationship because he always put his girlfriends (who were always just after money) above me and my siblings. He was also a very “screw you I’ll live my life how I d*mn well please” type. Great episode, guys!!

I’m starting to realize that these “victims” are more culpable than I first though. There’s definitely a level of narcissism in each one. They all think that someone young and beautiful would fall in love with them. Secondly, they know the truth yet still end up sending more money. Sad but makes me angry at the same time
I can't imagine talking to a woman like he did Bre without knowing her. Much less when you're seeing her for a potentially embarrassing situation. He knew he had 0 chance but just wanted to assert some dominance.
Yup, exactly, assert some dominance. Because as delusional as he is, he knew deep down that he’s making himself look like an absolute loser to them going into the situation, so he felt the need to aggressively "flirt" with her to try and convince the men that he "still got what it takes blah blah blah"… Not because he wanted to make her a compliment, but just to make HIMSELF feel better in that situation.
This is the type of guy who sees like, a fan page on Facebook repost a picture of Rihanna, and comments underneath “wow you’re so beautiful baby, my name is Jose, how are you doing tonight sweetie”
His ability to objectify women is gross. Brianne is at work, how incredibly disrespectful of him to hit on her like that. He tries to completely diminish her worth as a professional by turning it into a power play.
Whew, I'm going through this same thing with my Dad. At this point I had to cut communication with him. I'm not trying to tell him to live his life but at some point 2+2 ain't equaling 4. My Mom passed 4 years ago. My Dad managed to send these people the life insurance money and recently sold his house. It's a devastating situation but I had to protect myself, the only reason he would communicate with me was to ask for money.

Dr. Phil posted a Catfished story a while back. She gave one these scammers 1 million. She was so angry with Dr. Phil and her sisters who were right all along. But finally cooled down and thanked them!!
It's interesting that often times these parents treat their kids terribly for trying to protect them, while treating a random scammer online like a queen. It's a common thread I've seen.
Lol😅
I believe narcissistic tendacies on the part of the scammed could play a part.

I'm afraid that it's extremely common with older ppl and I don't think there is a solution cuz most decent ppl won't let their ageing family members suffer, even though it'll cost them both financially and in terms of time
Caring for older people is a special kind of challenge.
Well, until then I'm pretty sure he gets to *spend his money his way* . I agree he's being an idiot, and maybe later he'll burden his family, but what the hell do you propose, that if you don't like how someone spends his money you come in and take over? WTF? Fascist much?

Thanks catfish crew for doing so much to help so many
Love Drew!!!! And he’s so cute 🥰 😉🫶🏻
@@haileyg2620 Ikr! He's such a cutie 🙈
He sure had a LOT MORE PATIENCE than I would've.
Agreed, there are many times I would totally lose it if I were in his shoes. He is very patient with particularly hard individuals.
i love the way Drew talks, so intelligent and thoughtful, and chooses his words wisely.
He needs someone appointed as a guardian to control his finances. He doesn’t seem like he can be reasoned with. Might be because of the stroke.
Yep, I’ve seen this with lots of stroke and dementia patients.
There's no fool like an old fool. I feel sorry for his family.😞
If this guy is for real, he would probably be an abusive husband.
Had 3 or 4 wives he said.
@@susanlett9632and they all left him 😏
@@kimberlykarpp6333 probably a cheater. He was hitting on the host of this show and 3 minutes later was showing an engagement ring he bought for another woman! Even in his prime he was probably a philanderer
I’m actually very proud this man is humbly accepting the karma god is serving on behalf of his ex wives.
@@HusainHadi-r2x he said he's a very good Christian. Very good Christians don't tell you they are very good Christians!
That's one stubborn old man. He still wants to send money to scammer because it makes him feel good.
Exactly!!!
I completely agree with you.
I was just going to say, this should be grounds for taking care of his finances for him. Give him an allowance, that's all.
He seemed to just say that to prove a point, and not fess up to being bamboozled. Just my opinion. He was embarrassed but didn’t want to show it.
Most definitely.l
His eyes are on fire when he talks to Brienne. This is beyond disgusting.
Haha yeah it’s hard to watch. He’s a very weird dude
He was only convinced by the picture of the scammer that it was a scam too. Nothing they said mattered
Yep god forbid a man’s attracted to a woman .
Your body might age but your mind and thoughts can remain.
Oh please - any woman who can't handle an old man flirting with them is not a real woman. There, that will put the cat among the pigeons.
@@jdee286are you a man or a woman? Just curious
@@Raya-ir4tm You can still be a good dad/mom and bad spouse at the same time. People get divorced all the time and that doesn’t automatically make the man a bad father or the woman a bad mother.
There are ppl in the comments calling him living and cute and they ignore this part.
this man trusts complete strangers n believes them n believes his own children r lying, this man is something else
Yeah seems to be the situation in most of these
Did anyone notice that the first thing most of these victims says is 'she's beautiful" or "he's handsome"? They are all about superficial beauty and that's why it's so easy for them to lose every dime they have.
I can’t believe that people don’t catch on to a gift card that literally has FU printed on it. Shows just how greedy people really are.
Greedy and stupid

His children are going to have a HARD time trying to step in for his finances 😔 He’s going to push back every step of the way; he’s just a stubborn old man with a lot of pride and refuses to be wrong. I wish them luck 😊😊😊
They need to delete WhatsApp off his phone
I wouldn't do it.
Let him sink or swim.
We are busy watching who our kids are talking to online and no one is watching mom and dad. They are out there giving their life savings to scammers 🙄
I don't know, though. He seems like the kind of guy who's a hard sell but once convinced, he's all in. One day he'll start telling the story as a cautionary tale for others and sing the praises of his kids for saving him (and Breanne, he'll probably completely forget Drew and David).
all they will have to do is petition the court, and if they hire an attorney, even better all of this right here, can be used to make a case against him, having control of his own finances, and based on his behavior and such, I would be willing to bet that there is other examples in instances of his diminished capacity I’m sure it’s not limited to just this romance scam and if for whatever reason they would not have enough evidence to be granted a limited scope guardianship then it would be very simple if he bankrupt himself or gets in over his head financially if he continues to fuck up like that then he’s going to be on his own to face the consequences if he loses everything then, so be it
This dude is a constant victim.
If it was his children I'd take him to court for power of attorney.
Great episode, guys!!
yeah, been there done that. Mine was my mom, but with boyfriends, but other financial scammers that knew they had money and bilked them. They didn't trust me, there only daughter, but strangers knocking on the door...oh yeah, they were salt of the earth!

Drew has the patience of Job. Very compassionate.
I would have hung up on Jose when he started yelling.
Jose narcissism is his weakness! It prevents him from realizing that he's being punked! I am single, and love it! Relationships, and love is false hope!
wen he told drew i don't know who u r, y r u talking to me. that made me mad because he's trying to help, but wen complete strangers talk to him, he tells them everything n immediately trusts them
These old people need to realise that attractive young people would NEVER want them.
Exactly 😊
Frontal lobe dementia. Stop him. Get the doctor involved.
I think Jose was a player back in the day
Bre is fine AF
@@SapienSafariagree. She’s gorgeous and smart and sweet too. David is a lucky guy :) idk if they have kids but if they do I bet they’re adorable
His ability to objectify women is gross. Brianne is at work, how incredibly disrespectful of him to hit on her like that. He tries to completely diminish her worth as a professional by turning it into a power play.
I thought he hit on Bre.

Drew is smooth he could melt the hardest heart. Lovely guy!
that lady was right, some people enjoy being scammed
I admire Drew for his patience and his empathy.
I feel for you I really do. I don't think there is answer. Even if you show them every episode here and every Dr Phil they still want to believe their fantasy. I hope you find a solution ❤️
I’m so sorry that’s happening.
Wow, I'm so sorry, that has to be exhausting :-( But you're right, at some point you need to protect yourself and your family's finances. He's a grown adult and you're not responsible for his actions. But I'm sorry :(
Dr. Phil posted a Catfished story a while back. She gave one these scammers 1 million. She was so angry with Dr. Phil and her sisters who were right all along. But finally cooled down and thanked them!!
Oh goodness maybe you need to contact catfish. I am sorry for you.
This guy was so hard core--but Drew did a better than excellent job of convincing him to cooperate.
He's so lucky his family cares enough to step in to save him from himself!
It's interesting that often times these parents treat their kids terribly for trying to protect them, while treating a random scammer online like a queen. It's a common thread I've seen. They want to believe the fantasy so bad that they seem to resent the people who point out that it's obviously not real. I feel bad for the victims, sometimes, but I always feel bad for the victims friends and family.
@@anyexpat I truly don't care if he was super dad for 20 years. He's treating them bad now. Your point is stupid. I don't have to know how he used to treat them to be able to say that he's treating them badly.
