BE STILL MY SOUL LYRICS
Be still, my soul; the Lord is on your side;
bear patiently the cross of grief or pain;
leave to your God to order and provide;
in ev'ry change he faithful will remain.
Be still, my soul; your best, your heav’nly friend
through thorny ways leads to a joyful end.
Be still, my soul; your God will undertake
to guide the future as he has the past;
your hope, your confidence, let nothing shake;
all now mysterious shall be bright at last.
Be still, my soul; the waves and winds still know
his voice who ruled them while he dwelt below.
Be still, my soul; when dearest friends depart
and all is darkened in the vale of tears,
then you will better know his love, his heart,
who comes to soothe your sorrows and your fears.
Be still, my soul; your Jesus can repay
from his own fullness all he takes away.
Be still, my soul; the hour is hast'ning on
when we shall be forever with the Lord,
when disappointment, grief, and fear are gone,
sorrow forgot, love's purest joys restored.
Be still my soul; when change and tears are past,
all safe and blessed we shall meet at last.

Perfect timing during these prophetic days. Beautiful!
And Now more than ever before His welcome arrival, salute brother.
This is fantastic! Thank you for your work (and thanks for including all of the verses)!
Thank you!
I love being exposed to new hymns, and who knew this jewel was written by a woman (Kathrina Von Schlegel). Thank you for doing this.
This is great--nice vibe that goes well with the reassuring lyrics!
Wonderful job!
Thank you!
I just wanted you to know that you and your ministry is an answer to prayer. I have picked up my acoustic guitar after not having played for a while. All i could find were secular songs or songs with a rock beat though they be called worship. I’ve been looking for Hymns and older favorites to play but couldn’t find cord charts. On my income it is difficult to pay the price’s being asked at other sites. So thank you so vert much.
I would like to make a request. Could you develop some intermediate level techniques and cords. It gets boring with the basic cords when playing as a hobby and singing just for myself. Would be interested in some fingerpicking ideas as well.
Thanks again you have no idea how much this appreciated
Ruined a beautiful song.
I agree. The slow introspection of this song is part of what makes it so beautiful. Speeding it up like this really kills it. I love everything else you do, Reawaken.
Partially agree with you...but it does seem to appeal to the "younger set" in my family. Sigh....
