I have the same bike and just redid the entire wiring harness from scratch.
Look into Hugh's handbuilt PMA/CDI system, and a Motogadget M-Unit

i also hyave exact same special 11, they are unusual in australia but not rare , mine is horribley rusty but runs nice so i,m in your boat but i have 4xs,s so its not lonely

I'll be honest, this summer has been quite busy with work and life. I'll hopefully have time this winter to work on this more in the winter.
