BCD Tofu House Rocks!!! We love the boiling Soon Tofu Soap and Banchan like all kinds of side dishes such as galbi, bulgogi, bibimbab, fish, gim, and Kimchi!!! Have you ever heard of the Kimchi Warrior?
I've always wanted to know what this was called because I LOVE soondubu. Now I do and it's so cool. Thanks FungBros for always brightening my day and HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
Okay, lemme set the record straight about British food. I'm a native Brit but I'm also half-American (dual citizenship). I'd say most people who say that British food is bland have never had it (The Fung Bros even made a video about British food and they loved it). I've eaten Chinese food, American food, Indian food, Japanese food, even Slovak food. Some of my favorite foods still to this day are British. I used to live near a small little pub in a village, and the food there was AMAZING. Easily the best moussaka I've ever had. In school, I remember when lunch was cooked in the cafeteria and it was like eating at a nice restaurant. I actually liked it better than the snack line. Mint sauce with pork or lamb is to DIE for! Marmite is a staple (Koreans are known for their kimchi, British are known for their marmite, in terms of "acquired taste foods"). Chip butty, curry and chips from the fish and chip shop, and the spiced meat pastries my butcher used to sell down the street from where I lived were absolutely amazing. My favorite cheese in the world was also sold there, a Welsh cheese made with garlic and chives (called Green Thunder). That is a flavor I will miss while I'm in the USA. We also have a sweet pickle relish which we love to put on cheese and in sandwiches. We have some really great bar snacks, too. Plus, having become a cultural melting pot, especially in the realm of food, we've taken elements of certain cuisines (most especially Indian) and adopted it in with mainstream yum yums. You will find some really unique and delicious foods in London, especially in Camden where there is a huge international food scene. So, to all of you out there who say that British food is bland, TRY IT FIRST! And then tell me if it's bland or not. My dad is American and he loved a lot of the British food he's had.
Cool, I've seen this restaurant many times but I've never tried it. It looks good, and I love soondubu! Especially when they let you crack in the egg yourself.
Kaju Tofu in Garden Grove, Ca. is one of a kind. usually have chicken bulgogi with my tofu soup. I feel Korean fried chicken will make a big splash soon. The fried chicken especially with that garlic taste is out of this world. Nice video guys, happy eating!!
My all time favorite dish is haemul soondubu - seafood tofu soup. So good. Followed by the haemul pajeon. Next Korean dish to trend... I dunno. Maybe the kimbap - the "Korean sushi" as some people call it. But I think that's been a popular dish too. I have no idea.
Fish Roe Tofu Soup. Extra spicy. The rice acts as the broth sponge/spice moderator. And whole fish roe goes great with it. At So Kong Dong Tofu House in Atlanta.
kimchi taste like shit , just burn my tongues , even worse than Sichuan numb and spicy , its not very spicy , but more feeling numb , numb is best , just like the linkin park song , numb , I've Become so numb.......I can't feel you there.......
actually the proper way is to scoop out the rice from the stone bowl and place it in another bowl. The server comes by with water and pours it in the stone bowl so that you can scrape the "crispy" rice that has stuck on the side of the bowl to eat.
My favourite spot for soondubu is Kaju Tofu in Garden Grove, CA ^^(it's also the closest to my house lol). I get either the mandu soondubu or beef soondubu. Can't wait to go there again with a friend :D
omg yes go! Its literally down the streeet. It's more commercialized than Kaju, but I love the variety. They actually have BCD in New York though!! Check it out :)
Oh yeah i have seen it. Lol I kinda wanna wait until i'm in socal to eat korean food(as well as mexican and viet) xP NYC has so many options that i can't find back home
how do they pick the guests? ive emailed them about it before but didnt get a response. also fungbros videographer needs to increase the volume on their end cuz its always low
I like soondubu, spicy pork. bibimbap and also samsgyupsal! FUng bro did you know that because you featured siao long bao dimsum I get really excited to try it. I did google the name where can I find it so i can eat it? Good thing we do have one resto in my place that serves it. hahahah So good.
Annyeonghaseyo,I have been watching your videos for a few months now and everyone in your crew are wonderful people. Oh yeah, when I was in collage there was a Korean restaurant where I first tasted Bulgogi. Needless to say I am a total beef and pork Bulgogi feening fool. I can make it myself too. Thank you FUNG BROS. Annyeong
The Tofu Shop in Orange County is pretty good. I believe the owners had actually moved to America in order to open this restaurant. The staff and owners are very great as well.
She didn't teach you guys about burnt rice/browned rice soup (노룽지 aka nuroongji). They bring out the rice in the stone pot for this reason. Immediately after they serve the rice you transfer it all to a bowl, making sure you do not scrape off the crunchy rice that is at the bottom, and the server will pour boricha/tea in it. Eat your soondubu jjigae and you come back to this in 10mins or so and vuala! You got nuroongji!
I really want to try Korean food. There is a Korean BBQ restaurant down the street up the road around the corner from my job(3 minutes away). I really want to go thwre, but I'm afraid to go by myself since my friends don't want to go with me.
Having McD's as lunch while watching this video doesn't help. Makes me wanna go to Tofu House again, I especially miss that rice bowl + raw egg dish! =)~~~
Korean food popularity has certainly been trending up among hipsters for some time now..........its even breaking mainstream. There is a commercial with 3 white smug hipsters and their token black friend using their smartphone to find a korean restaurant.
im a korean person feeling like there are similarities in chiu chow food and korean food. I was trying to google for historical evidence but then found ur chiu chow video! (I just saw u & awkwafina's video a few days ago- neway) I don't have a lot of chiu chow exp but just tastes so familiar. I wonder what you think~

Hey FungBros. I have a quick question? How much is the cost of living in Seattle? I am really considering moving to Washington from Texas. Like how much is it for a 1 bedroom apartment or studio. Plz respond.
XVoneTV It can cost around 400,000$ depending where you live, it could cost less if you rent an apartment compared to a house. Bellevue and Medina cost more to live.
One bedroom apartments in Seattle rent for $1949 a month on average and two bedroom apartment rents average $2761. One bedroom apartments in Houston rent for $1188 a month on average and two bedroom apartment rents average $1563.

Banchan isn't appetizers. It's a side dish to complement the meal. That should have been emphasized as to not confuse first timers.
