Dylan Talks Tone Recieves Commision From Some Of These Links
Awesome That you had Carlos on your show! I recently purchased a Castedosa shell pink baritone and it is truly a treasure. The work that Carlos and his family out into this guitar is clearly a work of love and I wish them nothing but success in carrying out their dream!
So awesome.
Seeing how Carlos got a job with Fender and becoming a master builder was great. The fact that he wasnt planning on being a builder and ended up creating a beautiful work of art.
Excellent interview, as usual. Thanks for chasing this opportunity down!
"There's songs in these guitars..." Baritone just moved up to the top of my wish list. Great work Carlos. You're alright too, Dylan.
Gotta get one of these in the hands of Mark Lettieri. So happy for those that don't see the "custom shop" as a end all be all. Moving forward and following your passion and inspiration is a huge element in physical, mental, and spiritual health. Good luck!
I have no interest in baritones, but I really appreciate this kind of video! I welcome any exposure to new guitar makers with their own ideas.
Beautiful guitars. Someday, I'd love to have one. Wishing them a ton of success 🤘
I'm so happy you are discussing baritone. I have a Revrend 27in scale and it allows me a fit between the bass and lead guitar. Lots of flexibility. Tic tac bass, rhythm parts under the lead... it is tuned b to b so it's helped me focus on intervals. Give it a try.
May he go on to great things. He turned me on to the idea of the Fender Marauder.
Wow! This was really neat content! Really happy to see the channel expand and grow!!
Looks like I will be buying one soon. Thanks for the info.
You won’t regret it. I have no other guitar in my collection that comes close to the Castedosa .
Love baritone guitars!
Mr. Lopez seems a bit camera shy. Dylan did a great job getting him to open up.
Thanks for the great show!
seems like a chill dude
thanks! very nice interview. :-)
on my list . . . good story and nice to see Carlos doing his thing; wonder if they can play the mini hum vs p90
Carlos runs game proper.
Baritones with P90's are just a special combination.
Any master builders out there who make neck through Jackson soloist type guitars with tongue oil necks ?
I want a Mariana semi hollow so bad
Did he say 'Ariel Pozzo' in minute 12:09?
Ariel Posen (guitarist)
Cool guitar!
Do you think some of these smaller builders choose to do relic finishes… Like Novo guitars… because it takes away from the difficulty of doing a very nice clean finish and keeping it pristine throughout the production process? I mean I know the relic thing is a thing now. But this is my thought when I see this style of finish from smaller builders.
Um… Carlos and Novo are not small builders …. AND…. Relic world is so time consuming it’s ridiculous
I would say definitely a plus for a builder Cost more but a bit easier to finish Great stuff hope he does other builds besides baritone but all good
really like these
You didnt tell him he could just use a piece of fence wood, instead of alder ;)
Even a master build talks about "resonance" and tone wood on an electric?Scale length make the guitar sound different...but how can the wood affect how a pick up sends the electric signal to the amp? This seems very strange thing to me, expecially if it comes from a master builder...
Lopez says he has "the eye for aestethic", and makes the ugliest headstock ever...
You must not have the eye for aesthetic
phaff
Thanks for your contribution to humanity
I've always enjoyed your channel but I can't continue to support someone who supports John Cruz and those who sell his guitars.
No worries. Best of luck to you
