I felt the same way after seeing Carlos’ guitars. Never knew I wanted a baritone until now! I love how hauntingly piano like the tone is.

I bought myself a Hagstrom Viking Baritone for Christmas '20 and it has entirely reinvigorated my love for playing guitar. I'm perfectly happy giving up some high notes for some low notes and all that sweet resonance and percussive thunk.

How is it holding up? You've had for almost 2years, has there been any problems? Like potentiometers, intonation, frets, tuning, etc.
I'm asking because I really want one too.

@@wadeguidry6675 I did a little bit of dressing of the frets, just because I wanted to, honestly. I could have gone without doing it, but I had just done it on a strat for a friend of mine and I was in that mode and had all the necessary supplies right in front of me. Other than that it has been fantastic. I did have to tighten one of the control knobs but it's a good idea to do that on any new acquisition. I love it. It's great guitar and I would reccomend it to anyone. My only real complaint is that it did not come with a case, nor was there one available as I bought it through Musicians Friend. There were a few on back order at some smaller shops and i could have gotten a case that way, but I had a real boner for it and could wait. I love mine. I thought it would be a cool alternate option but it has become my main thing. It inspired, dare I say forced me to get out of some ruts and I'm a happier player for it.

@@wadeguidry6675 If you are looking for your first baritone, I would highly reccomend watching some videos on a TH-cam channel called The Bunn (Baritone Obsessed) the guy is a wealth of information and does extensive reviews/comparisons and he is the guy who convinced me to go with the Viking.

@@sprontos I love the Bunn, I've been watching him for years. His new series on how to be 50 and take a chance on the music industry is great. My playing style is way different than his. He plays REALLY low and mostly single note runs. I like the Viking because I think it would suit my classical finger picking style. And I only want to tune to b-baritone anyway.

Baxter please share the arrangement of Cancer. I just ordered my first baritone and would love to play that. It's sadly very relevant right now and it might be a nice arrangement to share with the family.

I am a grateful owner of a Castedosa Conchers Baritone. It has totally changed how I play, what I play, and how long I play. It has totally changed my approach to writing and has allowed me to enjoy using my pedals in new and creative ways. If I had to use a word to describe the guitar and it’s impact on me: Mesmerized can’t wait to see what he creates next!

Love baritone guitars. Every player needs one in their collection. Carlos seems like such a down to earth dude with a passion for building. Hope he has great success!

I really hope Carlos gets around to making a Bass VI-style instrument, I think his grittiness (like what you hear and see in his Baritones) would make for something really unique and awesome.
