I understand what you mean, focus on addiction does suggest they didn't have full autonomy when they decided to offend. It shouldn't be used as a shield against responsibility.
In defence of the board, substances do lower inhibitions, so (whilst not causative) they are arguably contributory, and certainly affect the developing brain in ways we still don't fully understand.
Not an excuse, but a significant factor to consider in assessing risk.

Usually, his first line is "tell me about your alcohol abuse' so he can refer people to his buddy's parole and alcohol program. There's no other reason for him to say that as much as he does...... even after someone tells him they weren't under the influence of anything... that they sane mindedly committed a crime. That's my only hang up with him.

Hes extremely humiliated at his failure and hes unable to take responsibility for his actions, he then takes that out on EVERYONE else. I prey for the community he returns to.

Mother of 12 years I am testimony that a woman can survive on her own without a man paying a single bill!! Keep your appetite for fancy things low, put your children’s needs first, sometimes you go without a meal to let your kiddos eat a steak! you do what it takes for those children! I have no nice words to say about this pos cockroach, he has to be one of the worst ever, the guy preyed on the mother when she was vulnerable, alone after the death of her husband with her little girl. Perfect situation for an abusive opportunistic jerk to ride in like a knight in shining armour. The mother was abused repeatedly and became his puppet to use and beat as he wished, and he was moving on to the daughter as well. The moment the mother gave up on herself was the moment she served up her kids on a platter to him. The cockroach should never be allowed to walk free, he's a compulsive predator and will continue to be if he is released. There are many people in this world who are literally abused and beaten into submission causing them to become complicit in their abusers behaviour to themselves and others. Thanks for bringing this case to us Mandoo and Richard.👍

Mandoo, today is June 25, 2024. I'm a new follower and I'm working my way through your videos.
IMO your impression of this man is so right. I could feel his anger, heck, the man was purple in the face. I "honestly " think Mr. Marabella was pushing him hard to crack. I was telling my sister that he was trying to break him or stress him out and see how he answers questions. It actually worked. The inmate changed some answers. He admitted he couldn't remember two of the most important things; 1. how to control his anger, 2. how to control his stress/not turn to drugs.
I was impressed by Judge Marabella... he must have been one fine District Attorney. ❤

Thank you. This one just disgusted me. Im with you, the 'mother' should have been held accountable as well. As a parent, your number one job is protecting your children. At the first sign of violence or inappropriate behavior, she should have removed her daughter from the situation. Instead, she not only allowed it, she aided and chose to lay down with this monster to create 2 more babies. It's disgusting. I understand DV, been there, but you do not allow anyone to harm your children. They cannot make that choice to stay or leave. The justice system is very unfair when it comes to holding females accountable. The males always get more time (as they should) but imo the females should receive the same. In this type of case, the female was the parent. She's just as much at fault, if not more. I see it with SO's too. Many times, the females get just a slap on the wrist, especially if the victim is a boy. Its infuriating.. I digress..😂 I could go on and on. I get so angry about cases like this, where the individuals who are supposed to protect these babies just completely fail with no repercussions.

In my opinion, the mother IS complicit in what happened to this victim. It's the mother's responsibility to PROTECT her children from monsters like this. I can almost excuse the first time he 'forces' her to do sexual things in front of her daughter... ALMOST. But that's ONLY if she was, indeed, forced. But that should have been the one and only time it happened, because she should have left immediately after that and had that asshole thrown in jail. Instead, she stayed and that shit continued, time and time again. And you can't tell me she didn't know he was physically messing with her daughter, too, in case she gave the 'yeah but I never thought he would actually touch my daughter' bullshit excuse. She knew. And she let it happen. When my step dad was messing with me, he didn't try to hide it at all from my mom and she didn't do a fuckin thing about it either. He did it right in front of her and she acted like nothing was happening. I feel horrible for this girl, I hope she's ok now but the chances of that are extremely slim. These monsters should NEVER get out.

She was probally , physically, emotionally and sexaully abused in her childhood. And her first husband may not have been a gentle loving guy. I can from my own horrific abuse, I put myself in relationships that were abusive as an adult. Fell into drugs ect. I It tooks years of therapy and AA/NA meetings to were I could function as a human being and not a scared suicidal "Child". Not making an excuse for this Woman's decsions, just throwing out possablities of why she did what she did. At 62 I still have monents, days and weeks where I struggle, but I deal with those times with self love and a loving family members who circle the wagons when needed.
