On our way through, I took the Plume Fossil. I knew if I didn’t say what I took, you’d all ask. Actually, now that I think about it, everyone asks anyway. Comments are good for the TH-cam algorithm.
The funny thing is that with 80 attack, 110 hp, defense and special defense, 80 special attack and 50 speed Regigiga is still better than most of the pokemon in these runs even before Slow Start wears off.
The funny thing is that it does not halve the bases of Regigigas, it's halving the actual stats, so it's closer to base 56 Attack and 41 Speed. The defensive stats and Special Attack as you stated though are still better than a fair number of Pokemon that are used, but those physical maluses are affecting Regigigas more than you think.
7:30 i like what they were doing with the xp curving, because the goal was to make it easier to quickly level low pokemon against enemies that are higher level, but they shouldn't have made a penalty for fighting enemies at a LOWER level. i feel like that one adjustment would have been the perfect balance
If Scott is talking about backporting Slacking with it's ability, I think he can backport Regigigas with Slow Start in something like Yellow or Crystal. Man is a wizard

21:43 you got it right (Be-Hee-Yem). Beheeyem and Elgyem’s names are based on acronyms: BEM and LGM respectfully. It’s based on the alien acronyms Bug-eyed monster and Little green men. This is the only reason I remember their names lol
Here’s a tip for future B2W2 runs. If you go to the PWT and immediately quit out of it, they give you a random shard as a consolation prize. If you need a certain Move Tutor move, this can be a good way to grind for shards
@@atomicorange0512 yeah those are amazing for shards, like 15 shards in what 2 or 3 minutes? my prefered route is starting all the way in the west of Castellia since there are a lot of spawns there
7:53 Before the level-up after Leavanny, Giygas had 53 HP remaining. He restored a total of 51 HP so he actually would have survived without the Leftovers. +16HP - four turns of +4 being 1/16th HP +3HP - level-up +30 and +2 (topped off) from seven turns at +5 being 1/16th HP. Either way, the Leftovers definitely pulled it's weight and kept that one from being a nail-biter.
Actually now that I think about it, he's right. I only checked to make sure that the healing received was not higher than the remaining health left. Assuming the AI can 'see' a faint happening, Leavanny would not have used String Shot at the end if Giygas had only two health remaining. Setting aside damage ranges and other RNG elements that could have made the margin of error smaller or bigger, I was only thinking about the healing in that situation.
I know you are using jerks in an affectionate way so I'm not upset or offended, but I think cats doing this is actually kind of cute and sweet, still annoying, though. They do this because they are trying to mirror your behavior because they love you. There are some other reasons, too, but they all boil down to them loving you. There are actually cat keybords you can get that will make them stop. Hopefully this helps you love your cat even more
Idk if this is weird to say but I genuinely believe you are the most human TH-camr I’ve come across, like you are always so down to earth and honest and its one of my favourite things about you :) Also I’ve loved this Regigigas series
Hey! I just realized that it's been a second since your last Bethesda challenge! I know the pokemon challenges get you more views, subscribers, money, etc. and you should definitely keep doing them. They're wonderful. Just a reminder that there are some who love watching wacky hijinks in New Vegas and Oblivion. Have a great day.
14:01 I got a little tip in case you ever need to grind the shards for move tutors in the future. If you lose the tournament, you receive a random shard as a consulation prize. So hypotically, you can just keep losing round 1 of any tourament here to infinitly grind shards.
7:41 "I made sure to pick up the leftovers in the sewers before the bug gym because I'm not insane. It's gotta be the easiest to get Leftovers in any Pokemon game right?" A statement that shows how unfamiliar MDB is with the newer games (and I'm not surprised) In Gen8 Sword and Shield, you can pick up the Leftovers in a corner in the wild area, shouldn't take more than 10 minutes to pick if up if you know the path, and that's 2 cities away from the first gym. In Gen9... Gen9 is an open game world. You are free to pick up anything lying on the ground before your first gym as long as you can reach it. The Leftovers item is found in Medali which it's totally possibly to make your way over there are pick up the dang item before fighting any gyms.
You know something, I first found you because of the creepypastas readings you used to do and now I'm watching you for the Pokémon challenges. Now I want to return to Pearl because I have unfinished business with Cythina and these challenges help me learn tactics and advantages. Keep going with the content MDB!
Fun fact: if you're playing Black 2 and White 2 in Challenge Mode, Marshal's Conkeldurr was supposed to pull off a Flame Orb + Guts strategy... but they forgot to change its ability, so it has Sheer Force instead. Oops! Speaking of Challenge Mode, is there a way to enable it right from the start in an emulator? The battles are a lot more interesting in it.
Another very big oversight in challenge mode is that they actually forgot to change the stats of the Pokémon. The levels appear higher but the stats remain unchanged making the game actually easier because you’re leveling your Pokémon up to match their level but only your Pokémon are getting stronger. The only thing that makes challenge mode an actual challenge is the extra Pokémon some boss battles have
Another brilliant Regigigas run! Thanks for this one, MDB! And yeah, the Pokemon World Tournament is really easy the first time around. They put you through a round to introduce you to the mechanics of the tournament, but don't apply the level limit so players don't get stuck on it. Cheren's levels right after on the boat are a lot higher, so it is him being limited by the tournament. (Also noteworthy for team runs is that since the Subway and the PWT are accessible before the postgame, with a decent party you can grind them a bit for some useful TMs and items...) Cyndaquil next, eh? Finally doing a starter run. Good luck with that one, definitely looking forward to it!
Here is an idea “Can I beat Pokemon Red with only ‘Blast Boom Destruct and Bomb’ like Moves! If you start with Voltorb you get Sonic Boom at level 17 making it possible from the start of the game. Plus in Gen 1 it hits Ghosts for some reason. It would be funny and stupid and interesting! Would love to see a video of it. Moves you could use: Explosion, Self Destruct, Fire Blast, Egg Bomb, Sonic Boom, Spike Cannon, Pin Missile, and Smoke Screen. Every Gen 1 move related to explosions!
It's funny how Lionhead's Black an White would probably reflect how owning a Regigas would be to actually own as a mon, just this giant walking around, trying to eat people and pooping everywhere while you're frantically trying to stop it😂 Also some locals would totally start worshiping it
Medicham is actually really powerful once it gets a few levels and some physical moves, but it could be interesting to see how quickly it clears the game. I guess it could be worth a shot.
Now that you have played with pokemons like reggigigas (who needs stalling to get his acts together) and Slaking (with truant), will you consider playing with pokemons who have the ability defeatist like archeon? Since playing with a single pokemon means you are almost bound to get hit, defeatist will be a sure handicap!
Very good video ! I propose 3 ideas ! 1 idea: Froakie and croagunk in Pokemon Y 2 idea: Pidgey, spearow and doduo in Pokemon Firered 3 idea: Rattata, Paras and Meowth (For Meowth, he can't evolve, and the move are Cut, Flash, Thief and Payday) with the ability pick-up in Pokemon Firered.
**Week 152 of asking for Platinum With Only Drifloon** I will never give up I know its coming eventually, it's just a matter of tradition at this point and I've been away for a couple weeks lol
For the Pokémon World Tournament, or PWT, all the Pokemon you fight on your first time through will be level 25, except for your Pokemon, so you’re not stuck trying to beat the PWT with your team leveled down to level 25, but anytime after you do the PWT, your team will be level 25. Also, with all the different colored shards that you get, you can go into the PWT, and then immediately quit in your first battle to get a free random colored shard, or if that’s too much work, you could just hack in the shards. It’s dealer’s choice which one you want to do, if this is a strategy you want to attempt
I wish they kept the Gen 5 exp system later on. Getting rewarded with a big chunk of exp for beating stuff stronger than mine is how I like my RPGs to be.
I made the video my TWEET MADE THE VIDEO OMG IM FANBOYING SO MUCH really sorry that, keeps happening I've just gotten to the habit of swinging by to look for a video after the notifications stopped working
You should see if you can get a rom of Hawlucha in one of the earlier gens. An Emerald-Hawlucha run would be pretty damn cool! Or maybe Fire Red and you could include the post-game too! Gen 1 games could be fun too cause Flying/Fighting is a pretty cool type, but could actually still be challenging with how underpowered both of those types are in the RBY games. Why Hawlucha? Because it's the perfect Pokemon for you! A luchador fighting through small independent circuits(the gyms) and working its way to PokeMania 2025 & battling the champion for the gold? Commentary would be as epic as it was in your one video where Pokemon were wrestlers. Also, great run as always. Your Regigigas runs kick ass :)
I have an idea for a fun challenge, One that means you could even use Drowzee. Can you beat Pokemon Black (Or any game from gen's 5 ,6 or 7) with only the move Assist? Purrloin learns Assist at level 6 so it'd be the starter, Then if you get a male Purrloin you can breed it with other's to get more Pokemon. I think this would be a great wacky challenge since the more Pokemon on your team the more random the move is. For any that don't know Assist uses a random move known by any of the user's party Pokémon, With some exceptions. So even Pokemon that can't use Assist would still be useful if they have good moves that Assist can use. Drowzee is in the Human-Like Egg Group so If you want one with Assist you'd need a Spinda since they're in the Field and Human-Like Egg Groups so can breed with Purrloin and Drowzee. You could also use a Chimchar as a starter if you give it Assist as an Egg Move, They're also in the Field and Human-Like Egg Groups so a male one can breed the move into any Pokemon with Assist.
Challenge idea: any gen with counter and/or mimic type moves. It should be interesting since each battle will be unique as you have to adapt to what your opponent has. Misc rules: Transform counts a a mimic type move since it copies the opponent’s move set. Sketch s allowed but sketched moves can only be used in the same battle they were sketched in.
Try Platinum with only Finneon. I had this idea because there's a Swimmer in the route before Victory Road who says she's determined to defeat the Elite Four, but only has a level 45 Lumineon. Take the Swimmer Miranda challenge!
Let Sabu walk on your keyboard with a blank text document open. Use the spam of letters he types as the thank you note. Just add "Sincerely, Sabu" to the end of it.
the tournament is mandatory and they made it easy because introducing casual players to a "battle tower" system where there is a level cap and all pokemon are of that level, which means changed stats and that kind of stuff, would be a bad feeling and leave players with a big question mark on their heads asking themselves why their overleveled starter regressed out of the blue
Beheeyem is said like the letters B.E.M., as in Bug-Eyed Monster, the old sci-fi alien trope. It pairs with Elgyem, L.G.M., or Little Green Men. Both are named after old sci-fi aliens.
This is Week 2 of asking for a Pokemon game of your choice with only moves that Pokemon can learn in Pokemon Go. I would personally recommend a game with easy access to move reminders and deleters, like SwSh or SV, but you could probably do it in any game. I did this run in Shield, and my rules included: -Only moves that a Pokemon in the game can learn in Go (So for example, Magnemite can only use Thunder Shock, Spark, Volt Switch, Metal Sound, Discharge, Magnet Bomb, and Thunderbolt.) -"Common Sense moves" are allowed (So, for example, one signature move on legendaries or the Ultimate Moves on Starters. I only used this rule to make raid grinding easier by giving Eternatus Dynamax Cannon) -One encounter per area (Completely optional, but stops you from picking only good Pokemon. This inderectly led to me using Klefki against Leon, since after going through every available encounter, that and a low-level Snorunt was all i had for Dragons) Also some other rules i considered but didn't use -1 fast move and 2 charged moves. (Replicating possible PoGo movesets) -Protect allowed (Pokemon Go "Protect Shields") The main difficulty of this challenge comes from the fact that some Pokemon have really had movepools, including very little coverage, very few status inflicting options (There are only 4 Pokemon lines that can use Yawn to inflict sleep, for example), and some Pokemon getting no moves that work with their stats (For example, most of Empoleon's Special options are higher level, like Hydro Pump, or TMs, like Blizzard) Also, I'm only posting this on Pokemon Challenges since I don't want to be the person who spends time spamming a request on non-Pokemon related things, and I don't have Discord and don't really want to set up an account just to spam one section on your Discord.
It's funny seeing how easy this run went after my Black 2 run with Slakoth (with evolutions). I had Vigoroth before I could even beat the first gym. I should have just started with Slaking like you did in your run, just the difference in base stats would have saved me so much time. Also it didn't help the run at all when apparently in gen 5 opponents with moves like dig will time them so they're always underground on turns you can attack so you just have to grind it out until they run out of PP. I think I was in the 80s before I could beat the Elite 4.
I was thinking a fun challenge you could do that still gives you a team would be, new team before each new challenge (gym's, and elite four). You could also extend that to rivals/evil team leaders if you wanted to. So the idea becomes using only the pokemon found before the challenges and boxing them once you win and catch a whole new team in the area's before.
(Not so) fun fact, Regigigas wasn't able to learn Protect until generation 8. And no, I have no idea why they tried making Regigigas unplayable for so long.
@@Mine4dayzz That's because they gave it a garbage fast move, Normal STAB is useless for raids, and powering it up for PvP (as I recall) is a nightmare due to effectively being restricted to Rare Candies for powering up.
It’s funny when I first saw this pop up on Mike did he already do this challenge with this game but then I realized it was with generation four that you did with L O L
Would love to see a Carnivine run, is gonna be a weird one as in every game its in it has a terrible learn set despite its high attack stat and its also terrible slow For people that don't know what the pokemon is, its a gen 4 grass type
I’m not sure if ur randomizer has this option but u can play black 2 and white 2 on challenge mode which makes the game a bit trickier and fun. Just wanted to suggest if u were interested. Love ur videos ❤
Now that you've done BW2 a couple of times, would you do the optional Aldar fight like you do with Steven in Emerald and Red in Johto? It could be a fun way to end it. I know you don't do the Champion fight in BW, considering Ghetsis the end, so it could be cool to do it here instead.
Just let Sabu type out a response anyways. :P Give him a few seconds to work out his thought, then let him do the steps for one second. Should be about as good of a thank you as we can expect.
Correct me if I’m wrong I could be. Why not Knock Off first move against any trainers ace Pokémon when you know they will have a berry? Would make the gym leader that slight hit easier
The easiest to get leftover,in my opinion, is in alola where after the first kahuna u get the thief tm and munchlax have a prety nice spawn rate but u get doubles cause they can cry for help.Helps in every nuzlock run i try then get 6 times in a row flinced during the electric trial(still has a lil ptsd from it).

That was a nice level Regigigas.
You can get leftovers in sword and shield before the first gym on the ground in the wild area. Also in sun and moon by using thief on munchlax
Like # 619, “ operation survival “ 😅😅😅
I would love it if you did another Christmas challenge! I hope you're planning to. EDIT: Just got to the end, glad that you are!
Ill be honest. You reminded me about B&W in general. Now i have to find a way to get them again XD
Challenge idea: any gen with counter and/or mimic type moves. It should be interesting since each battle will be unique as you have to adapt to what your opponent has.
Misc rules:
Transform counts a a mimic type move since it copies the opponent’s move set.
Sketch s allowed but sketched moves can only be used in the same battle they were sketched in.
dangit MDB you made me want to watch that black and white 2 lets play I played it as a kid gonna watch that after I finish this vid
Try Platinum with only Finneon. I had this idea because there's a Swimmer in the route before Victory Road who says she's determined to defeat the Elite Four, but only has a level 45 Lumineon. Take the Swimmer Miranda challenge!
Noticed your ending level there. Nice.
The Saraya Saber run is happening next week!!!! Hell yes
Honestly a fossil only run (either first stage only) would totally rock in B2&W2.
I did this run in Shield, and my rules included:
-Only moves that a Pokemon in the game can learn in Go (So for example, Magnemite can only use Thunder Shock, Spark, Volt Switch, Metal Sound, Discharge, Magnet Bomb, and Thunderbolt.)
-"Common Sense moves" are allowed (So, for example, one signature move on legendaries or the Ultimate Moves on Starters. I only used this rule to make raid grinding easier by giving Eternatus Dynamax Cannon)
-One encounter per area (Completely optional, but stops you from picking only good Pokemon. This inderectly led to me using Klefki against Leon, since after going through every available encounter, that and a low-level Snorunt was all i had for Dragons)
Also some other rules i considered but didn't use
-1 fast move and 2 charged moves. (Replicating possible PoGo movesets)
-Protect allowed (Pokemon Go "Protect Shields")
The main difficulty of this challenge comes from the fact that some Pokemon have really had movepools, including very little coverage, very few status inflicting options (There are only 4 Pokemon lines that can use Yawn to inflict sleep, for example), and some Pokemon getting no moves that work with their stats (For example, most of Empoleon's Special options are higher level, like Hydro Pump, or TMs, like Blizzard)
Also, I'm only posting this on Pokemon Challenges since I don't want to be the person who spends time spamming a request on non-Pokemon related things, and I don't have Discord and don't really want to set up an account just to spam one section on your Discord.
this run is perfection, you ended with level 69
I genuinely don’t know if this went up early so here I am over an hour and a half after premiere
It's strange the mandatory PWT section uses Level 25s when Clay's ace is Level 30.
(Not so) fun fact, Regigigas wasn't able to learn Protect until generation 8.
And no, I have no idea why they tried making Regigigas unplayable for so long.
Even in Pokemon Go with no abilities, he isn’t good. Regigigas is just doomed to mediocrity.
@@Mine4dayzz That's because they gave it a garbage fast move, Normal STAB is useless for raids, and powering it up for PvP (as I recall) is a nightmare due to effectively being restricted to Rare Candies for powering up.
MDB AMA: How much do you appreciate Tim Hortons? I love it every time I’m in New York
Week 7 of remembering to ask for you to do a Zorua run in whatever Pokemon game you want.
It’s funny when I first saw this pop up on Mike did he already do this challenge with this game but then I realized it was with generation four that you did with L O L
Would love to see a Carnivine run, is gonna be a weird one as in every game its in it has a terrible learn set despite its high attack stat and its also terrible slow
For people that don't know what the pokemon is, its a gen 4 grass type
feel like the 3 elemental punches and return would win you all battles XD
Nice level at the end.
Still awesome to see this aa a video even if I miss the premiere, which I did 2 times in a row now. Yikes!
Day whatever (lost count 😂) Oshawott solo black run?? Love your videos MDB!
I can't remember, but do you think that you might go and do the 3ds games like X, Sun, and what not or the other switch games like Sword and Scarlet
Ooh, A Regigigas in Emerald sounds fun. Though I'm excited to see X/Y runs eventually too! Maybe OR/AS would be a good easing into it?
I’m not sure if ur randomizer has this option but u can play black 2 and white 2 on challenge mode which makes the game a bit trickier and fun. Just wanted to suggest if u were interested. Love ur videos ❤
Did he just say Ck3! Can't wait!
30:17 sung to sleep us? I had to backtrack like twice to make sure I heard that right
I corrected it on screen
I keep telling myself I should play BW2 as I never got to play it, but the ADHD is strong.
It's the Petit Cup where you only use level 25s.
