Wish Id seen this tour ❤ Too young but my older brother did at Roundhay Park, Leeds, England. Brought me home the cassette tape (yes kids) and that was it for me......my horizons opened up right then and there! ❤ My mind was blown and the back catalogue was discovered! Just WOW! Love ya Bruce
I am very saddened to hear of the passing of Clarence Clemons. He definitely helped make The E Street Band what it is today. You will NEVER replace him. Clarence, thank you for the memories. We will never forget you.
[Verse 1] Driving in to Darlington County Me and Wayne on the Fourth of July Driving in to Darlington County Looking for some work on the county line We drove down from New York City Where the girls are pretty but they just want to know your name Driving in to Darlington City Got a union connection with an uncle of Wayne's We drove 800 miles without seeing a cop We got rock and roll music blasting off the t-top, singing [Chorus] Sha la la, sha la la la la Sha la la la, la la la Sha la la, sha la la la la Sha la la la, la la la [Verse 2] Hey little girl, standing on the corner Today's your lucky day for sure, all right Me and my buddy, we're from New York City We got $200; we want to rock all night Girl, you're looking at two big spenders Why, the world don't know what me and Wayne might do Our pa's each own one of the World Trade Centers For a kiss and a smile, I'll give mine all to you Come on baby, take a seat on my fender It's a long night, and tell me, what else were you gonna do? "Our pas each own one of the World Trade Centers / For a kiss and a smile I'll give mine all to you..." Great memories of happier times...(and I'm not just talking about the song...)
girl you know it! Bruce might be the best artist of our time. With the positive messages and soulfull music, what's not to love- and i'm a libertarian!
Aaron Jay, Chris Clavel, Des Harris(Paris connection) 'drove 800 miles without seeing a cop'........Happy 4th. 'Merica ROCKS anytime I was there. I remember heading out of LA listening to Alabama 3 blasting out of the speakers @ 04.30am (then Mr Jay told me they were from Bristol!). Saw Mr Springsteen live @ the RDS. I'll never forget Clarence on the horn.
I remember reading a list of songs they weren't supposed to play on the radio right after 9/11. It was idiotic. "Jump" "New York, New York" - there were dozens. Two of them were "War" (which they credited to Bruce), and "Fire". Basically anything they thought related to the attacks in any way. But no mention of "Darlington County". The jackasses just picked titles at random. They pulled the list as soon as millions of people told them what a retarded idea it was.
He clearly had so much fun it was illegal; for people like him that was pretty common during the years; just ask people like Jack Cooper, Mario or Jesse Wanner
Why was the sound and the band so bad in 1985 compared to 1988. This song is not even possible to listen to. I know Max drums were put with something that completely destroyed the sound. But the others sound bad as well. Awful version of Darlington County. Worst sound I have ever heard from a Springsteen concert.
Koszi egy újabb dal amit nem hallottam! Puszi gyerekek, lmadlak❤❤🎉🎉
This is actually one of my favorite Bruce Springsteen songs.
Same here

Very good song boss
[Verse 1]
Driving in to Darlington County
Me and Wayne on the Fourth of July
Driving in to Darlington County
Looking for some work on the county line
We drove down from New York City
Where the girls are pretty but they just want to know your name
Driving in to Darlington City
Got a union connection with an uncle of Wayne's
We drove 800 miles without seeing a cop
We got rock and roll music blasting off the t-top, singing
[Chorus]
Sha la la, sha la la la la
Sha la la la, la la la
Sha la la, sha la la la la
Sha la la la, la la la
[Verse 2]
Hey little girl, standing on the corner
Today's your lucky day for sure, all right
Me and my buddy, we're from New York City
We got $200; we want to rock all night
Girl, you're looking at two big spenders
Why, the world don't know what me and Wayne might do
Our pa's each own one of the World Trade Centers
For a kiss and a smile, I'll give mine all to you
Come on baby, take a seat on my fender
It's a long night, and tell me, what else were you gonna do?
Just me and you, we could
[Chorus]
Sha la la, sha la la la la
Sha la la la, la la la
Sha la la, sha la la la la
Sha la la la, la la la
[Verse 3]
Little girl, sitting in the window
Ain't seen my buddy in seven days
County man tells me the same thing
He don't work and he don't get paid
Little girl, you're so young and pretty
Walk with me and you can have your way
And we'll leave this Darlington City
For a ride down that Dixie Highway
[Bridge]
Driving out of Darlington County
My eyes seen the glory of the coming of the Lord
Driving out of Darlington County
Seen Wayne handcuffed to the bumper of a state trooper's Ford

@ThePlatinumPengwin Take Me To The River isn't a talking heads song. They did it but it was originally by Al Green.
sure is very good
I was actually unsure if he'd still sing this after Sept. 11 but I heard it a couple years ago.
Why not?
@@JDAbelRN “our pas each own one of the world trade centers”, referring to Twin Towers in lyrics
What a show, Can only agree with ambeckman!

C'est d'la balle
No comment
what is this about, there is no darlington county in new jersey....
You think He has ever been to Darlington?
is Paris '85 on DVD?
The BIG man on the sax is COOL
Why ... does ... he ... get ... arrested?
I never understood -- why does Wayne get arrested in the end?
Cuz he's been sleeping with an underage prostitute.
The boss can play the guitar. So can Steven and Nils can play better than both put together.
New Jerseys BEST
Bruce Almighty :-)
BRUCE ROCKS!!!! And his wife too, I´d like to tap that.
@FlameExile Nils Lofgren.
@MrBluey1 Clarence Clemons
It's a metaphor obviously.

Oh, back when he used to be FUN, and not the mopey thing he is today, preaching about politics! How I miss him.
He clearly had so much fun it was illegal; for people like him that was pretty common during the years; just ask people like Jack Cooper, Mario or Jesse Wanner
@bsand2053 Niels lofgren
No.

Efore he was a billionaire Kamala supporter.
Cooler than your obvious lack of critical thinking skills. *shrug*
