Thats because they leave out the parts were the 500 pound machine gets stuck in the deep sand. But a beautifully shot video. It shows with enough speed even heavy bikes can climb hills.

@@nebulaunfolding nope. You are wrong none of the parts have removed. I am his fan since 4years his name is chris birch. He can actually tackle any train with dirt and adv bikes. And he also trains his little kid for legendary level. Watch him follow him, he has started youtube channel.
@@lingsang1195 I don’t doubt his skill set. But he would be faster on a 450 race bike on the same terrain. There is a reason light weight 450 bikes are faster in desert races than heavy adventure bikes. The only advantage of the heavy more powerful adventure bikes is top speed. They can exceed 450 dirt bike top speeds of 110 to 120 mph.

Seriously, this why I bought this bike, Chris should get a commission man!!! And this is still an amazing bike that I would still take over the Africa Twin, the Norden 901 or the Ducati Desert X. Only the 890 could make me switch.

i think the africa twin can get close... but it’s not as cool anyway
mld I sat on the ATAS today. Beautiful machine but so tall. I could barely reach the ground and I'm 5-11.5. It was hard enough on my GSA at the seats lowest setting. Had to be a 2" higher seat. Anyway, you can't turn off the front ABS on the ATAS. I'm not that advanced when it comes to suspension, but it seems that ABS issue will matter to me later as I advance. It bugged one of the testers that tested it against the 1090r in deep dirt track setting
The 1090R with a bash plate weighs 240 + kgs, I think it's heavier than a AT but the suspension on the AT is indeed far worse.
I remember taking the 1190 Adv on a demo, putting the knee down and absolutely blowing through and out of a corner with that manic 1195 LC8 motor barking high rpm. What a machine. Monster torque, good feedback, confidence inspiring.
1050cc engine didn't have the same ridiculous power, but most say the chassis and suspension is quite an improvement.
