I accidentally came across your channel, I didn't even expect to watch the whole video) Very calm, pleasant conversation and beautiful views. I hope for new videos, let the inspiration come!
Just to be pedantic, the mountain block you keep pointing to and calling Saxer Lücke is actually the Kreuzberge block. Saxer Lücke is the gap between where you camped and that limestone block.
@@jochemschut2000 Well I have one, and possibly, two advantages. 1) I live near Alpstein, I could be hiking there in about an hour, so I am quite familiar with the area, and 2) I am fairly good at German (Lücke is a gap, and its origins are related to Loch which means hole, and Saxer means it belongs to Sax, and Sax is a town in the Rhine valley just below the gap, so Sax's Gap is a literal translation).
stumbled upon your channel, I’m looking forward to see more of your hikes :) I’m going in the alps in fall so this is really informative. Thanks for sharing!
Hey! I just watched your vlog, and I wanted to share some feedback. I really enjoyed it and think a few tweaks could work! What I liked: • I loved how you highlighted the name of the lake! It really stood out and added context. It would be cool if you did the same for all the places from the trip. • Fälensee is my favorite spot in the whole Säxer Lücke area - such a beautiful location. • The hike looks amazing, and I noticed the path was pretty empty. That’s interesting because I know it’s usually quite crowded. Some ideas for improvement, if you’re up for it: 1. Subtitles: I noticed a lot of the subtitles were misspelled or didn’t quite matched with the names of the locations. It might be worth improving them manually, or at least adding text for the names of the locations you visited. It would make the video more polished. 2. Sleeping in Säxer Lücke: I’m not sure, but maybe double-check if it’s actually allowed to camp/sleep in Säxer Lücke. It might be worth mentioning for your viewers. 3. Video quality: The video overall could benefit from a higher resolution. 4. When did you do the hike?: I’m curious about when you went on this hike because the path was pretty empty. Sharing the timing might help viewers know when’s the best time to visit. 5. Shoe suggestion: Just a small thought - maybe try different shoes next time? The ones you wore might send the wrong message and encourage people to wear something less appropriate for such terrain. 6. Imagine some drone shots in the morning, paired with different music! The cowboy-style music you used is fun but doesn’t quite fit the Swiss or cinematic vibe. Something more atmospheric would make a big difference. A subscribe from my side and enjoy your next adventures.
I camped on one of the hills on the Rhine valley side of the trail. So if you hike up from Bollenwees and you follow the trail, you will find two relatively flat spots to the right of the trail which are super to pitch a tent :)
Questiion: Why is the view of the Kreuzberg peaks and the Mutschensattel reversed in time stamp19:44? As opposed to the actual view from your spot in the very next scene?
Depends on your tolerance for lower temperatures 😉 I went in the spring which was still quite cold, and think the same holds for autumn. However, the benefit of this is that the area is not crowded yet 😊 Would still say summer is the best, though, but as the spot is quite popular it is important to be there a bit early I think.
@@jochemschut2000 How do you check if it's illegal? I always check the map in the link below, and try to see whether I can find some info using Google about whether it is allowed.
