Hello from vancouver island. The reason I found your page is I was watching a video of David, from the island also, the man aiming for 1000 peaks, and near the end and in a segment one of the things he mentioned was that you were the reason hiking videos are so popular. I think he is quite underrated and deserves a shoutout somehow. The first video of yours I watched was you and your wife were in a hot bath springs in Iceland I think, it was so well done and quite touching. Looking forward to catching up on all of your videos.
@@derbigpr500No it does not😂 you’re completely exaggerating here. If you don’t notice the 700 million plus density of various European countries while traveling there than you’re blind. I would even argue many of their great mountainous landscapes, especially the Alps, too much development n a real lack of wilderness you see in other parts of the world. The Alps are nonetheless elegant and photogenic for sure. It deserves high marks for the creature comforts, which don’t come as frequently on other spectacular mountain ranges. But I also find such conveniences too much n it goes against the grain of true escape n more independent exploration. But yes, lots of great natural scenery in Europe: the mountains of Norway and the Caucasus region, also part of Asia, take the cake in Europe due to better wilderness experiences.
Easily one of the most impressive hikes I’ve ever done. Wasserauen, Aescher, to Säntis, Rotsteinpass, Meglisalp and back. A sea of clouds beneath me, clear skies above and mountains all around. Life does not get better than this. Thanks for the video, this stirrs some great memories. And all the best for you and your family!
I love watching theses videos. It really makes me appreciate my home country so much more. Living here for all my life, sometimes you can forget how beautiful this country actually is.
Man your photographic composition is truly superb in this video. Landscapes like this are made better by fundamentals of photography and your ability is really at an all time high here
There is a tone which you tend to capture in your videos that seriously captivates me. Any chance I get, I recommend you to others' who enjoy hiking, camping, or traveling. Your videos are absolutely stunning! I'm still in awe with you being a father, I remember discovering you back in 2020 I believe, and now you're married; and a father! Congrats, I hope for the best my friend!
I've done this hike in July, but going straight to Meglisalp without the Schäfler/Mesmer part. It was astoundingly beautiful, but the weather got foggy before I reached Saxer Lücke. Glad to see your images of what I've missed.
The cat right off the train is everything!!! 😸 This is such a gorgeous video - absolutely breathtaking. I'd also love to do the gliding stuff off a mountain top one day, it looks amazing. And I love that you went back to the format of update after video :) Looking forward to hopefully being able to snag a ticket to the Switzerland hike next year!!!
It’a mind boggling that you came up with such an amazing video despite the time constraint. Thanks for taking us through! I found your chanel back in early 2018 when you’re doing some travel vlogs. I found you’re so candid, full sense of humor and a great story teller with a cool cinematic talent. There came a period of silent hiking footage which to me quite personal because damn I love hiking too! And now you’re officially a father, you’ve come so far and it’s so wonderful to witness your becoming. Whatever road you take from here, I believe you’re always gonna nail it! I am all here for your new seasons ahead! All the best wishes for you Kraig.
This video leaves two impressions on me: how mind bogglingly beautiful Switzerland is, and how sad I am knowing I'll probably never get to do things like this.
Hello Kraig, I'm from Germany and I'm a big fan of the way you make your videos. I enjoy every one of your videos, including your last video from the Appenzeller region in Switzerland. The silence, the wonderful pictures - simply wonderful. I also have a channel myself and attach great importance to silent hiking. Thank you for everything. Good health to you and your family. Best wishes, Werner😊👋🌞🍀
Hey Sharon...here are 3 beautiful areas from a less known country in terms of tourism. See their videos first. Do let me know did you like it? They are - Kumrat Valley, Naltar Valley and Hunza. Type these keywords and see for yourself.
This video almost made me cry! I still cannot believe how beautiful Switzerland is even tho I have been there myself. Your videos made me want to try and hike le tour du mont blanc next year. I think I will do it.

Keep it up and thank you so much for you work.
loved watching this on a slow Sunday morning - the pacing was perfect and matched the pace of your hiking well which felt relaxed. 13:42 is the money shot of course but I also loved the framing and perspective at 10:17. (0:34 gave me anxiety about thinking of stepping off the train to set up the camera, stepping back on, and timing it with the doors closing though damn haha). love the return of this format as well.
nice catch. I've been experimenting with extra wide angle tilted up shots for forest scenes. interesting look. Didn't even realize the risk i was taking with the train doors haha
when its time, family hike videos would be cool. good starter hike idea... Catskills, Giants ledge, 1.5 ish miles up, 800 feet or so gain. wife and i took 6yo, 4yo, 2yo up there this June. Great view at the top, hopefully sets the hook deep yeah!?

I couldn't believe that such a breathtaking place like this existed on Earth. thanks for you showing this for us!
The entire Europe looks as breathtaking as this.
Look up the Icefields Parkway from Alberta!
My thoughts exactly. It’s as if it came right out of a fantasy movie. I guess it’s time to go to Europe
