"You asked me what I see when I look at you...what do you see when you look at me?" "A bottlecap. A piece of--did you not listen to anything I just said?"
But before he asked that, he made sure Nikolai understands that he is far more formidable than he thought by hinting that he knows Nikolai’s background and not the other way around! So he asked him that question after cuz he’s sure Nikolai is now thinking “this guy’s a more dangerous bottle cap!” 😂
When I look at this scene it’s not fear he has BUT he KNOWS McCall is going to be a problem, he knows McCall is not going to go away, he KNOWS he’s gonna have to deal with him one way or another…because McCall is forcing his hand…he’s not used to his hand being forced!
"Denzel Absolutely TERRIFIES A Russian Gangster Boss."... The Gangster boss doesn't feel fear. Thus why the gangster boss continues to try to kill Denzel's character in the movie.
Definitely. That’s what makes the scene so powerful. Nicolai delivers the usual bad guy monologue designed to intimidate, asserting that Robert doesn’t know who he is or how far he’ll go for Pushkin. But Robert’s story flips the script, showing he knows exactly who Nicolai is-with granular detail-making it clear that he lives (or lived) in Nicolai’s world, with the power and experience to gather that kind of intel quickly. Nicolai is smart enough to understand what that implies (that Robert was some kind of special forces or CIA operative), but he still has no real idea who Robert truly is. It’s a far more intimidating response than Nicolai’s attempt at dominance.
Has there been anything other than accusations yet? I believe witnesses refute Denzel having any involvement in anything. This is the danger of accusations. The accuser can remain anonymous, meanwhile the public gets to hear the accused name and form an opinion against them withoit any real facts. The girl who accused Jay Z and Diddy of raping her, ended up having all kinds of inconsistencies in her story. Including claiming her dad picked her up after she “escaped”, even though her dad says he never recalled that happening, and they lived 5 hours from where Diddy’s house was. So he would have had to drive 5 hours to get her without even recalling it happening. She gets to stay anonymous while everyone quickly started calling Jay Z a rapist. Same thing happened to Kobe. And countless others. Innocent until proven guilty. Period.
@ yup, here we go with multiple victims and witnesses naming Denzel as an abuser of children. Here we go with so many photos of Denzel at Diddys house that you can see photos of Denzel at Diddys house in different decades..
Denzel is just the GOAT. Delivery and timing is just impeccable
The title should really be "Denzel has a calm and civil discussion with a Russian gangster boss"
Yeah the title is some junior high hyperbolic bs…
😅right. He certainly wasn't terrified.
This to me is one of the greatest scenes in cinema….like every thing was perfectly executed!!
Two brilliant actors.
"You asked me what I see when I look at you...what do you see when you look at me?"
"A bottlecap. A piece of--did you not listen to anything I just said?"
baba yaga
@@RedSampler he's the hero gotham needs but doesn't deserve.
"Sorry I couldn't hear you over the sound of you shitting yourself."
Hahahaha I've watched this a dozen times and never ever picked this up, well done! love it.

Denzel killed it in that scene both metaphorically and literally .
Denzel is one of the best actors!
Definitely best actor I’ve ever seen
He's THE best actor, ever.
I dont think the Russian was terrified at all.... but he knew he was dealing with someone like him
he wasn't intimidated at
all, in fact he listened calmly, even said thank you.
The King at work.
That look on his face when he asks what do you see when you look at me 😨
When I look at this scene it’s not fear he has BUT he KNOWS McCall is going to be a problem, he knows McCall is not going to go away, he KNOWS he’s gonna have to deal with him one way or another…because McCall is forcing his hand…he’s not used to his hand being forced!
5:30 at this point the Russian acknowledged that he had met his best opponent ever.
I love the way his little smirk drops. It was like in that moment, he finally recognized that McCall truly was a threat
@@CMontyit was so quick you could hardly notice it. Masterful
Love how the boss was expecting terrifying threats! Most mafia members expect terrifying threats and smiled like a man
Brick by brick, dollar by dollar.... body by body.
Denzel getting revenge for Training Day
"YOU THINK YOU CAN DO THIS TO ME!!!?
Lonzo got his get back on the Russians 😂
😂
Terrifies is a strong word
Teddy wasn't terrified, he didn't know how deadly Robert was.
Never gets old!
Me encanta esta película 👍🏻
Master piece
That's not fear, it's annoyance. He knows he's going to be an issue but he never takes McCall seriously even to the very end.
Teddy realises that Denzel is not just another opponent, he is a tangible threat to him and despite his brave face, he is scared…..is myntake
Yeah, he looked really 'terrified'. 🙄
GOAT
Brilliant denzil in this role
Was anyone else rooting for Teddy?
Denzel was great - and would have been even better in an actual THE EQUALIZER movie. That's not what this was.
One of the best scenes in movie history.
You must not have watched many movies...
Hyperbolic much Doug?
this is a great scene but movie history is over 100 years....
I don’t think he terrified anyone in that scene. He did get his attention though.
Tough talk from a guy taken down by a nail gun.
I love Denzel!! Great actor!
I believe so
I'm not buying it, I don't think he terrifies him.

And fails miserably the man single handily took out the organization😂

@@PlowenYourMommy it’s a comment not a dick don’t take it so hard😂
He didn’t appear to be terrifying him…..
No ones knows what i needed to do before
Whats with the ben shapiro esque title
I retired at being the devil and I'm about to come out of retirement JUST for you. < - - I would have just resigned as a mob boss.
Not so terrified.
I always wondered. Was the boy he talked about the Russian guy here?
Yes😢
Yes.
That's why he replied " you think you know me" .

@ was awesome
Didn't look terrified to me
I’m not sure this Gen-Z “creator” knows what terrifies means!?
Gen Z doesnt know much of anything
Denzel is one badass mofo.
Why does a gangster have to announce when he has to pee?
When the movie needs a bit of exposition so we can imagine what Denzel did to him?
Thats not fresh lemon
No the best
Weird scene because the last dramatic line is unnecessary. He already said lint or a bottle cap
Worst title I have ever scene for a video.
NOT absolutely terrified.
yt much?
Master of his craft…
lol a Russian mobster would never ever be scared of a black dude 😂
Omg 😨 was this movie made about me? This is not funny.. almost exactly the same conversation.. except different. Haha 😜
No
notice how the baddies are always russian and never ukranian?
The story he tells about the kid that stole and killed the man, I’m thinking was the guy he was talking to!
I believe the testimony of child victim, Ally Carter. Denzel needs to be arrested for what he did to those kids at Diddy parties

This scene is brilliant by both men.
in reality he got whacked in a sec lol
Denzel has connections to P Diddy.
again and again and again? it was never that good. just go away
