Advanced citizens will remember the days when power windows and locks on new cars were luxury upgrades, not standard fare. Back then we often passed on those gadgets because, "it's just something else that'll break." Electronically controlled suspension adjusters are in that phase of development. Sometimes the cutting edge cuts out.

Dave moss , you're doing a great job to the community man
The suspension settings for damping are in a different part of the menu.
ChrisMag100 you are right man!
We've posted an in-depth suspension video of the 2017 Multistrada. We dive deep on this one. th-cam.com/video/M6zMp8RbAio/w-d-xo.html
Do I dare say, I see a mistake being
made. Anyone else with a Multi S or PP see it? At least for my 2012 PP with
Olhins it would be a mistake. And I think Sky Hook works the same way on this
adjustment as I can see from the bikes dash. The bike is not broken. When Dave goes from
Rider, to two Rider, to Rider with luggage, to two riders with luggage he is
changing the pre-load settings of the rear spring. Going from mode to mode,
Sport, Touring, Urban & Enduro, it changes the pre-load that has been set
for that mode previously and if the same compression and rebound numbers are in
the DES or if they are close, going from mode to mode will not show much of
change in compression or rebound. And that’s why there is no change in the rate
that the rear end rises. The rebound and compression dampening adjustments are
found in the DES setting menu, which he never enters. There, the compression
and rebound numbers for the front forks and rear shock can be changed, in this
case, a change to the rear shock dampening numbers will allow the rear end to
rise more quickly as Dave wants to do. The bigger the number in the setting,
the more quickly the rear will rise. I hope this helps, Dave and I have met
while he came to a private residence to adjust bikes. All I can say is, that's
the way you adjust the Mulitstrada's rebound and compression.
2:36 He fiddles in the proper settings there i think.
Looks like to me he is changing the settings for the modes but not changing the modes. You have to drop out of the settings menu and then toggle the mode and hold it down to engage that mode. It's hard to see from the video, but it looks like that is what was happening. I have the 2012pp also so it may have changed in later models.
i also think he makes several mistakes. He's not switching modes, but going trough the set-up of different modes. The suspension doesn't actually change by going thru de set-up modes. Set-up modes is for changing the numbers. Change the numbers, SAVE and EXIT, (go back to riding mode), and switch there from Sport to Touring etc...
2nd mistake: you can NOT feel/test active dynamic suspension when not riding. Suspension changes constantly during different conditions. When the motor stands still, damping in and out are max. Yeah a little stiff, lol...
Antoine Schemkes Nothing without pure mechanic damper. Too much electronic these days makes your life fucked up.
nothing wrong with this bike. Dave is mistaken
Quality.... "you didn't buy a chopper.... huh" .... damn right. Great stuff
Thanks for interesting video...
Homeboy loves his blue tape 😂😂
Laughed at the description XD
Perhaps "Learning How To Read Ducati Menus," would be a better title?
Too bad Dave Moss doesn't understand how to adjust the rebound properly, also after adjustments are made, test riding is necessary...
I would rather save my money and just use a tool to set the bike up. Plus it would take half as long and it wont fail.
reboot the firmware . . . 🥴
this guy has no clue how to properly adjust the electronic suspension of multistrada
Please supply your own video to help everyone.
Dave Moss Tuning dont get mad dave. You keeping up a video that show wrong information. You better read the manual of a skyhook multistrada and make a new video showing how to really adjust the electronic suspension. Your videos are educational and informative but when you dont know something its better to learn it then to apply. Search web manual is available and free
@@marinob7433 Not mad at all, quite the opposite. I'm always eager to learn hence requesting you to make a video for me to learn from.
Dave Moss Tuning of course dave, when i will make a video in the near future you will be the first to know. Until then read the manual and make proper adjustments to your future multistrada skyhook videos. If you want i can send it to you to get an idea. Just post me your mail. It will be a pleasure to help you out on this
expert ! i think not....
