Stick the evo last at the start, give the 2 Hybrid F1s their DRS and this is a different story.
The F1 Hybrids open the DRS but only on the long straight
Not really, I think in that case the Ferrari would take the win, we need to keep in mind this is not a high downforce track and the V10 is the only car that doesn't need to charge its batteries. It can sustain that power throughout, and the light weight makes it a killer in the slower corners, of which the Nordschleife has plenty.
@@f1virtualfilms the F2004 should have had a higher top speed than the EVO here btw since its top speed on grooved tires was equal to that of the EVO. also would have helped to run them individually since whoever had the EVO was deliberately blocking F2004 thus making it apparent that the F2004 was faster. Lewis car was Also definitely faster than the EVO given the EVO didnt beat its time at Spa. also given your EVO run was actually faster than the offical run tells me you did some tuning to the car pre run to make it look better
@@protege1717 I actually made some adjustments to the EVO to balance the race more, but the driver who holds the real lap record himself assumed he could go a little faster.
It looks like the F2004 might be overperforming
Somehow feeling the same, but keep in mind it's by FAR the lightest car. EVO is 850. 800kg for F1 2024, 750 for 2020, 600 for 2004. Rounded up. Also (not sure if this is the case by ingame rules) for the whole Nordschleife it would be impossible to keep deploying at full chat all lap long for everything except the F2004?
@@Jejkingyeah this exactly....all the hybrids , can't be pushing all the way till the end of the lap, energy management would take a massive hit on a 20 km lap..... but the NA V10 has full power all the way, it can push all out, only a bit of heat and tyre management would suffice. And on slicks...yup sure winner
That's what I managed to tune so the car was good in the curves and had a good final speed on the straights. And rest assured, the F2004's AI is at 100%.
No way F2004 WITH slicks is overperforming, there are the most savage race cars in history in acceleration, AND they have a much higher range than the 2 heavy draggy hybrids, now with slicks they can also hold its own in the corners against those 3 fastest circuit racing cars, it can hold its own or even exceed the Evo's straightline performance and as quick as the drippiest F1 cars in the corner, so the only reason here it didn't win coz it couldn't overtake, even in China high downforce spec they reach over 350kph, and reach 0-340kph in about 11secs, for something that's 20 years old its no joke.

had a good feeling the evo would be a bit too heavy to hold back the little lightweight 2004. had the evo been passed before the final cornering segment of the lap I think it wouldnt have been able to reel in the 2004 before the end of the straight. also a shame the W11 couldnt get past as I believe it would be the fastest around here. all in all, this was a fun one to watch! 👍

The F2004 seems clearly the fastest in corners but couldn’t overtake. Il would be interesting to see other videos with different starting grids.
Yeah it just looked like the AI was struggling to overtake! It reminded me of GT4 or 5 where the cars just backed off instead.

We have to say good job to the F2004 for tailgating the 919 Evo so well, as it is the only sub-1000 horsepower car here and the oldest of the 4 amazing cars. It definitely could beat the 919 by over 30 seconds, if it wasn't held up by the 919 Evo.
Man, the F2004 is SO agile and quick, it feels fast as lightning fast every time it passes by the camera.

Why do the F1s only get DRS at the end but the 919 everywhere?

As I already mentioned here in response to some comments, the 919 has an exclusive setup for this track with DRS opening in several sectors. Unfortunately, F1 mods don't have this setup and I don't have the knowledge to do it either.

In the AI of this game, the 919 EVO has a specific DRS setting for the Nordschleife and the F1 unfortunately does not.

The RB was blocking the W11, thats the reason behind the gap between F2004 and both hybrid F1 cars
04 got the current tyres so fair enough, but that evo doing 17 seconds faster than its actual lap is just not on, and it was holding everyone up

old f1 cars are much lighter and compact.

AI is generally slower than a good human pilot. And there is the issue that here it is not a fast lap with just one car, but rather a race where the lap time is much slower.
This shows again that the Nordschleife unfortunately isn’t a good track for F1 today… the (likely to be) fastest car had no chance of passing in its strong area (corners) and only on the Döttinger Höhe was there actually a chance to overtake…

The F2004 was clearly blocked :p Too make this accurate, each car should do the run all by itself and not against to see their lap time. Coz i doubt the EVO could match the pace of the F2004.
I appreciate the suggestion, but I believe most people prefer a wheel-to-wheel race, which is more exciting, rather than comparing the times of each car individually.

The races are great :) but it’s a shame the AI just backs off instead of going to make an overtake! Surely there’s an aggressiveness option you can turn up?
I know the 2004 would have won quite easily if so, also maybe not great for viewing but it was frustrating hearing it just back off all the time.
@@GazRsExtremeBrickMachines F2004 AI aggressiveness at 100%. Unfortunately, this problem with the car behind taking a while to overtake is due to Assetto Corsa's AI.

Its so difficult to pass here, track is so narrow. I assume that’s a big reason F1 doesn’t race here anymore.

It's crystal the total lack of knowledge about mechanics and aerodynamics, from yourself. If you start that evo on the back of those beauties, it will never catch an eye on those three, after few corners
@@3dmaniac119 No... You're wrong, it may be that the Formula 1 car is better in terms of aerodynamics than the Porsche, but it is literally impossible to compete with a car created to be as good as possible.
Hybrid running out of energy after 10 tuns, and Evo blocking at th turns and beeing diven by the AI it's 100 possible this results, btw the EVO is a motorsport legend

I really wonder how F2004 would perform with a professional driver on a circuit with slicks on…just for saying 2004 Suzuka fastest race lap is 1.4 sec faster then 2023 F1…

The 919 EVO is already programmed in this game to open the DRS on this track on any straight and unfortunately the F1 Hybrids don't have it, they only open the DRS on the long straight.
People should know this is a race... sure if he did hotlaps the result would be different?( 100 sure)

Zeit rennen und die Geister übereinander legen aber wie richtiges rennen rann fahren und überholen sind zwei Paar Schuhe und da man sieht das computer fährt weil ich hab selber früher gespielt ich hab mit schnelleren auto nicht gebremst für Überholvorgang und wenn durchs grüne wäre aber so fährt man rennen nicht bremsen nicht umsonst heißt wer Bremst verliert.

the ingame hybrevo (hybrid evo but i ssay it like this) literally broke the real 919 record at 5:02 and real thing was 5:19
I believe that the difference in time is because the AI is bolder and faster in sections of dangerous curves than the real-life driver.
The real life driver himself said the car could be way faster but he couldn’t handle the high amount of g forces.

This shows that the hybrid crap is just a waste of money. 2026 regulations bring the new Formula closer to Formula E. Formula 1 should focus on combustion engines 100%. Here is the proof that a 20 year old car can kick todays cars ass in every race #bringbackV10

This is so absurdly idiotic...it hurts. Please!!!! pretty please!!!! Do the exact same exercise with that Evo thing, starting at the back of those three monsters of a machine, and we'll have the real deal. In real life, that Evo only have a slightly edge, at the straights... it will be destroyed by those brilliant, aerodynamically engineered beasts, as soon as they start enjoying some corners.
