    In my opinion, when someone returns after a period of no contact, it's often due to unresolved feelings, curiosity, or realizing what they lost. The absence creates a void, triggering a desire to reconnect. Whether it's a need for validation, emotional security, or simply to revisit the past, the pull is undeniable.

    • @thestoicreminder
      @thestoicreminder  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      So true! The need to reconnect is often fueled by the realization of what’s missing, which makes them question their decisions. It’s that psychological cycle we all go through at some point.

    After 1 year and half that she left me after 28 years together, I'm using no contact. During this time we always stay in contact for our kids, butnow they are over 18 and I'm in nc for 6 weeks and things are changing. She contacts me randomly and I.... Silence ! And she contact me and I stay silence I only contact my kids every 4/5 days just to wish them a good day. Now, if she is determined to come back, well, otherwise I 'll move on. Infact I'm dating a model 23 years younger then me

      It sounds like the no contact period is giving you some much-needed space to reflect and regain control. It’s interesting how people sometimes reappear when they sense you're moving on. Regardless of what happens with her, it’s good to see you taking charge of your own path and exploring new possibilities. Keep doing what makes YOU happy! 👏

    • @lovestoic101
      @lovestoic101 25 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      It sounds like you’re reclaiming your power and focusing on your own happiness, which is exactly what Stoicism teaches us. Silence speaks volumes, and it’s clear your actions are causing her to reflect. Whether she comes back or not, you’re showing strength by prioritizing yourself and exploring new opportunities. Keep moving forward-you’re writing a new chapter on your terms!

    She didn't appreciate me and now the ground is shifting after 117 days no contact. She is trying get me to react in a poor manner by manipulating me. I see it more clearly now because of no contact. Each day I'm getting stronger. I will never let her hear my voice ever again taking my power back!!!

      @srtev2813 20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Nice she's probably going crazy to hear your voice, until she hears your voice she will feel back to normal and maybe could move on. But by not hearing your voice she's going to keep you in thier head haha good on you 👊💪 stay strong know that your awesome and unique

      So true! You can't force people to appreciate the time you've invested in them. If they don't get it, that's a reflection of their own lack of awareness, not your value. Keep moving forward! 🙌

    This explains so much! 😲 The no-contact rule doesn’t just make them miss you-it forces them to confront their feelings and regret. Stoicism teaches us to stay calm and unbothered, while they spiral in confusion. Genius! 🔥

    • @thestoicreminder
      @thestoicreminder  20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes! That’s the power of the no-contact rule. it makes them reflect and regret, while we stay focused and unshaken by their chaos. Stoicism is a game-changer when it comes to maintaining peace and emotional resilience. Stay strong! 💪

    I asked a girl on a lunch date a couple weeks ago. We had a great time and she said she wanted to do it again, before we left. I asked her on that weekend if she wanted to go to lunch again the next week. She said of course and she’d let me know a good day. I didn’t hear back from her all week. I called her out for not keeping her word and told her I’d leave her alone if she wanted me too. She apologized, but I don’t expect to hear from her again and I’m not reaching out again. I felt it was inexcusable to not take a minute of her time to communicate with me if plans needed to change. I was proud I set a boundary and spoke up for myself.

      @thestoicreminder  23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Great job setting boundaries and standing up for yourself! Respecting your own time and energy is key, and it's a reflection of self-respect. If someone values you, they’ll show it through their actions, not just words. Stay strong and keep prioritizing yourself! 💪

      @thestoicreminder  5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Absolutely, stepping back can be incredibly powerful. It gives both you and the other person the space to reflect and assess the true value of the relationship. It's not easy, but growth often comes from these challenging moments. 💪

    Does this work when there was a strong connection even though a short term relationship??

    • @thestoicreminder
      @thestoicreminder  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It can work in both cases because the psychology behind it isn’t just about physical presence, it’s about emotional absence. Whether it's a short-term relationship or long-distance, if the connection was strong, no contact can make the person realize what they’re missing and can lead them to return to seek closure or rekindle things 😊

    Doing this with a lady I was in love with and had the most incredible sex with. But once she started disrespecting me and my boundaries, I called her out on it and she denied all of it.
    Finally I just stopped responding to her.
    It's been around a month since I've heard from her.
    My guess is she'll eventually reach out, but I will be abrupt with her and let her know I'm no longer at all interested and to not reach out again, because I am DONE!!!!!!
