Wow, I hadn’t realised that when they drained redmire pool a few years ago, that the fish had been transferred to a river in London . What an amazing carp and hats off to the friend of your dreams going in for you.
Maybe this reply put over 400 in the Tottenham stretch 30 years ago and some caught many years ago at a few pounds and then alf and others caught at 30lbs 👍

Brilliant capture. This will ruffle a few feathers. All the usual suspects been trying to keep this stretch secret for years. It is one of London's worse kept secrets though so I wouldn't worry. The most notable capture of this fish was Billy's a few years ago, witnessed the capture. Truely stunning fish. Was caught twice that I know of last season further down river. These fish have been hammered so much but only a handful know what they are doing. You summed it up. Anglers there bivvy'd up fishing on the deck while all the fish are on top. Keep mobile mate and very best of luck. There is one secret left to be unlocked there which nobody seems to be able to catch. I guess you are done with it there now though. It's gonna see a fair few others there now after this. Great video though and good luck with any backlash. 👍

I prefer Alfie Russell's story, but now I'm thinking he caught them all on bread n not his home made pop ups.. Decent recovery without having to go swimming though. 🏊♂️

It's the opening day of the river season. The rivers close to coarse fishing in march for the fish to spawn in peace.
