these games are split into episodes. you guys should be doing 1 episode per video. much better for orginization and for viewers. you guys only did like 80% of the first episode. so the next video will be like a weird mix of the ending of episode 1 and 50% of episode 2. ALSO this game is very much more story based than gameplay based. its not really like detroit so dont worry too much about messing up since you will most of the time get a redo if you die.

Story is great but the game itself isn't really all that when you realize none of your choices matter. It's more of a reactionary (just googled to double check the definition and wow that's not what I meant) game than a your-choices-matter game. It also messes with the how much someone might replay it. I only hope they redo the whole series one day since I still enjoyed the storytelling. And I mean the game has some pretty important choices quite a few times that actually make things different,at least slightly different. For example: deciding between who lives and dies will give you different options later on with those people,and different dialogue obviously. But I get your point,not everything matters to the degree it could. But yea,story is still 11/10 !!

You have no idea how happy i am right now. Lee is one of gamings GOATS. Lee and Clem are one of the best gaming duos. Also I did some research on the Telltale TWD Games and apparently they are Canon to the TWD Comics but not the show.

Just a little tip from you guys coming of Detroit, telltale is known for their choices not massively impacting the plot points itself in earlier seasons, unlike Detroit, but the choices do affect how other characters speak and interact with you and their willingness to help you out later on
Doesent matter the story and its endings are all fully set in stone. None of your choices and dialogues matter in the end. As proven by the guy who played the entire game without saying anything „…“ and still got the same (of course) ending of the first episodic series. Its like taking 3 different trains to reach the same destination. Its sad that even in mass effect your choices mattered more in the end and it didnt sell itself as „all your stuff matters“ I guess giving different ending foe eqch episodes or atleast make all choices matter for different endings in the Last episode was too much work. Quick thing regarding the dialogue choices; 59:11, Answer mentions that you guys don't know if Lee's family is dead. _You_ guys don't know that, but _Lee_ is able to make an educated guess, so you have the option to say his family is dead. Remember, Lee has information that we don't! Sometimes they will give options a "lie" indicator, too!

Highly disagree, they're going to be focusing on reading the subtitles than picking the options.. Plus its so much better without subtitles ad you have to actually listen to the person speaking and judge for yourself what you heard. Subtitles suck

This game and the following 4 games (3 sequels and a spin-off) are all made by Telltale. An company that has made a whole lot of games including: 2 Batman choice games, 2 Minecraft choice games, a Borderlands choice game, which Borderlands 3 made canon, a Wolf Among Us game, with a planned sequel, based on comic books the characters are all fables, like the 3 little pigs, Snow White, Sleepy Hollow. An Guardians of the Galaxy game. And a Game of Thrones Game. And there was a planned Stranger Things game before they went bankrupt. Telltale went bankrupt in 2018, while the last game in the Walking Dead series was being released (as every some months they released an episode at a time, which Telltale always did). As all their ips they were trying to use to make games with, cost to much money. But their sister company with the help of some fired Telltale workers finished the final game for the fans. But Telltale has mostly come back with a other game based on the book series/TV series, "The Expanse" and a planned sequel to probably their most famous 1 off game, "Wolf Among Us"

I enjoyed it,but I've played all games telltale has made. It's one of the weaker ones but I would recommend trying the first episode and seeing how you like it. It does feature Ramsay Bolton as one of the main characters if that excites you Edit: i should mention,Ramsay is not a playable character,just one of the main characters you will interact with and the story revolves arouns
@@pieck5460 It's not, the ending is terrible and doesn't make sense. The final two chapters with the "monsters/human" ruin the whole game. That's why it's not as popular as The Walking Dead. I played it and wasted my money on it.
Shawn is donezo and Hershel reacts the exact same way even if you choose to save him but Kenny remembers that you didn’t help Duck and is annoyed at you.

Ughhhh I love this game soooo much, can't wait for you guys to finish this series. If you like this game and like until dawn and detroit become human, I would suggest trying Life Is Strange and Beyond Two Souls. Both are amazing story games I bet you would all enjoy. A few thoughts- 1. This game is just fine on controller. I prefer mouse and keyboard, but it's not at all necessary. 2. This is based in the comic world of TWD. The character models of familiar characters are comic-based, not show-based. 3. Subtitles. Please. PLEASE. 4. I believe the subtitles will help you guys pay more attention to the story- you guys missed quite a few things along the way this first episode. 5. The game will often mess with you. It is asking you to pay attention, and to give it your all. Quick time events, dialogue choices. One choice can change whether characters will trust you going forward. Don't play it as you played RDR2, it is far more impactful per average choice than that game. It's not an honor system, it's a cause and effect system.
Just FYI TWD Telltale games are based in the comic book series WD universe not the AMC TV series universe. That's why Hershel Greene looks different. He was based on his comic book counterpart.

Honestly, this is the only one I really liked tbh. They nailed the story and characters for this one. Season 2 is alright, but 3 and 4 I didn't care too much for

This game and the following 4 games (3 sequels and a spin-off) are all made by Telltale. An company that has made a whole lot of games including: 2 Batman choice games, 2 Minecraft choice games, a Borderlands choice game, which Borderlands 3 made canon, a Wolf Among Us game, with a planned sequel, based on comic books the characters are all fables, like the 3 little pigs, Snow White, Sleepy Hollow. An Guardians of the Galaxy game. And a Game of Thrones Game. And there was a planned Stranger Things game before they went bankrupt.
Telltale went bankrupt in 2018, while the last game in the Walking Dead series was being released (as every some months they released an episode at a time, which Telltale always did). As all their ips they were trying to use to make games with, cost to much money. But their sister company with the help of some fired Telltale workers finished the final game for the fans. But Telltale has mostly come back with a other game based on the book series/TV series, "The Expanse" and a planned sequel to probably their most famous 1 off game, "Wolf Among Us"
Dude honestly I think tales from the borderlands is up there in best games of all time conversation. Top 500 type lists lol it's so incredible. Definitely telltales magnum opus,and I absolutely love TWD series they did. Tales just hits different

@@pieck5460 it's one of those hate it or love it. It's not very good game of thrones content,but it's worth a playthrough in my opinion. It's interesting enough and has some good moments. I enjoyed it,but I've played all games telltale has made. It's one of the weaker ones but I would recommend trying the first episode and seeing how you like it. It does feature Ramsay Bolton as one of the main characters if that excites you
Edit: i should mention,Ramsay is not a playable character,just one of the main characters you will interact with and the story revolves arouns
@@pieck5460 It's not, the ending is terrible and doesn't make sense. The final two chapters with the "monsters/human" ruin the whole game. That's why it's not as popular as The Walking Dead.
I played it and wasted my money on it.

Shawn is donezo and Hershel reacts the exact same way even if you choose to save him but Kenny remembers that you didn’t help Duck and is annoyed at you.
gameplay aside, this is my favorite game story, especially when considered as a whole (through all 4 seasons). lee, clem and kenny are goated af.

I love how you guys have the circles up in the corner and have the yellow highlight on who plays . I've tried it 3 times you can only save one. I save Duck all the time.

If you like this game and like until dawn and detroit become human, I would suggest trying Life Is Strange and Beyond Two Souls. Both are amazing story games I bet you would all enjoy. This game doesn't have a lot of gameplay, but it makes up for it by torturing you emotionally.

A few thoughts-
1. This game is just fine on controller. I prefer mouse and keyboard, but it's not at all necessary.
2. This is based in the comic world of TWD. The character models of familiar characters are comic-based, not show-based.
3. Subtitles. Please. PLEASE.
4. I believe the subtitles will help you guys pay more attention to the story- you guys missed quite a few things along the way this first episode.
5. The game will often mess with you. It is asking you to pay attention, and to give it your all. Quick time events, dialogue choices. One choice can change whether characters will trust you going forward. Don't play it as you played RDR2, it is far more impactful per average choice than that game. It's not an honor system, it's a cause and effect system.
My husband totally called it!!! We use this game to judge if our friends are ride-or-die based on their choices. I'm so ready
Just FYI TWD Telltale games are based in the comic book series WD universe not the AMC TV series universe. That's why Hershel Greene looks different. He was based on his comic book counterpart.
