:Paying Tua makes absolute sense for the Phins. There are no QBs out there in the NFL that might come to Miami that are better than Tua and none in the college ranks in the draft assuming they make the playoffs this year. Tua like many QBs is a work in progress and has shown significant growth. My issue with the Miami front office is their neglect in upgrading the OL in a significant way.

I agree, 16 team playoffs make much more sense in a 32 team comp. No bye's, no excuses. 6 regular season games playing home and away teams in your division. 12 regular season games playing other teams in conference. Superbowl is the only game between conferences. It makes sense in terms of competition integrity - That is not a factor for the NFL despite their words to the contrary. I live in hope.

Imagine an o-lineman who is getting beaten up to protect some prima Donna who’s making five times what you are making. Or the running back getting thumped 250 times a season for a prima Donna making six times what you are making. Or the defensive players who’ll never make a third of what the prima Donna is getting. NFL owners are doing their best to destroy locker room culture. 66 quarterbacks took NFL snaps in regular season games last year. The other players have to be fed up.

He has beaten over 10 teams that were above .500 in his career. That narrative literally only applies to one season. He had a winning record against teams with a .500+ record through his first 3 seasons. He has also played some pretty great games in freezing and snowy weather in his career, and the team still lost the games, for reasons neither he nor anyone else you could put in his position, would’ve changed the outcome of those games. Just like every QB in the history of the sport, he’s gonna have a bad game from time to time and, it’s usually more likely to happen in games against the best teams. Because that makes more sense than playing your worst games of the season against the worst teams that you face. Who in their right mind would prefer to have the guy who plays bad against bad teams? If you’re planning on winning enough to make the playoffs, you usually play more teams with a worse record than the record you need to have, than the number of teams you will play with an equal or better record than yours. There are few teams who end up with 10+ wins. Most teams have to have a losing season, because of the few who do the best.

Then tua hits free agency at 30 in if he gets injured or decides not to play football anymore he would be set for life financially.

Why would Tua hold out? The only thing that does is cost him money that’s fully guaranteed already, as long as he shows up. It’s also the single most lucrative year of his rookie contract thus far in his career. None of his rookie contract has paid him as much as this 1 year is going to. Why would he hold out and cost himself money? That’s not using any of your leverage as a player, to put pressure on anything but your own bank account. He isn’t that stupid or that poorly advised. Then, after losing money, and even if he held out every game for the season, then he’s still just gonna be stuck in Miami until he does show up enough to meet the contract requirements anyways. If he shows up and only does what he needs to, he gets paid for it this year and then either he gets paid to play somewhere else next year, or gets paid to play in Miami.

Im with the agents on this florio. There's a reason they call them extensions. Yes, it is technically a whole new contract. We get that.
But the oart thats being negotiated is usually the new money part and both aides generally go in saying "we'll start with the remaining years and add in from there'.
The thing is youre looking at it from the owners perspective with the money. And if you look at it that way, sure Trevor has a 45/yr deal not 55.
But from a salary cap perspective, which is what fans and gms care about, the extension part is 55/yr. The next ywo years were already locked in. So the extension years are what count.
You get push back from yhe Internet about this because nobody gives a flying fuck about yhe owner's bottom line. They care about the effect on their team's salary cap. Amd in that context 55/yr is theore relevant number because thats what gets charged to the cap (not withstanding certain years being balloon years or aigning bonus restructures or whatever).

First, you say you don't care if you vote Republican or Democrat, and then allude to Republicans being ignorant for voting Republican should they ever end up in court. Second, sometimes the business is in the right and sometimes the individual is in the right. Third, judges are supposed to be overall impartial and, while we have seen the latest Supreme Court have a conservative bent to their beliefs, we have seen judges uphold a case or strike it down depending on the presentation of the facts - even when it strikes against their bent.

It’s funny yall said Teddy was better. You said Fitzmagic was better. You said Skylar was better.
Then you said he can’t beat good teams or other good qbs but he beat:
    Jackson x2
    Allen
    Goff x2
    Herbert x2
    Prescott
    Murray
    Wilson
    Young
But yall right he can’t play… oh wait he’s top5 in every qb category… but he sucks lmaoooo
Dolphins fans… yall gotta realize they hate the Dolphins… we could have the best qb ever, they will say he sucks. Yall agreeing with the enemy is wild. 🫡🐬
