That is totally fine! Trust me this is very doable. It's just going to seem weird if you have never done it before. But don't worry, It's all step by step and up to date. The $1/mo deal is available right now but I can't guarantee it in the future. But it's here now and it's available and that what is important. Have you just searched through all WordPress templates from inside on your online WP dashboard? For a layout/theme that could work for you.

Click your name at the top right and you will see a drop down menu. and click "Manage Your Hosting"
