I’ve had one for almost a year. I’ve used it for touring (with Hepco & Becker panniers). We did about 2,300km in 3 days, effortlessly. Cruise control and the comfort seat make it easy. When this gen 2 first came out, I thought it was the ugliest thing I’d ever seen, but now I don’t even think about that front end. I kind of like it, but once you fire up the engine and start riding, all else can be forgiven. It sounds phenomenal with a full titanium Akra system.
Im Yamaha guy i admit it. Still riding my 2009 Fz1 96 thousand miles on her. Runs like new i really like the MT10 , Im retired naked, sreet fighter . Hell i fell in love with this style in the late sevnties . The bike that started it all Honda CB seven fifty. God im old.
That's what I thought too, but after riding my buddy's, I bought one It's like my other friend says, you don't see it when you ride it! One of the best bikes I've had, tuono, sdr, sfv4s, rsv4, s1000rr, etc
THANK YOU. There is NO REASON for that horrible nose... and especially that single low-beam light (everyone nearby yells that you have a bulb out). FIX THE NOSE, YAMAHA, and I'll buy one.
I can only speak from experience but for the US market, a base Tuono V4 of the same year is cheaper than this SP model but more expensive than the base MT-10. This MT-10 SP model is however cheaper than the Tuono V4 Factory.
Great in depth review of a nice looking bike. Not too sure if it would be suitable for touring, and I just can't get past the headlight configuration. But then again, if we all loved the same thing, wouldn't the motorbike market be pretty boring.
@I_am_Thursday thanks for that info, I also use motorways as little as possible, so it sounds to me it would suit my needs even more. Totally agree with cruise control almost a must when touring.
Nice bike to be sure, but when the sugar coat is removed, these newer MT10s with Euro 5 emissions really feel and sound neutered compared to the previous editions. My previous generation, bone stock would turn heads everywhere I went. Even just pulling out of a gas station it sounded wicked and pissed, like it was looking for somebody to F-up. It would loft the front in big stupid power wheelies on the highway on-ramps. The whaling sound could be felt in your soul. Unfortunately I sold it and got a new one. While the engine feels and sounds more refined, and the intake does have a "nice" note, that raw angered sound and the explosive power in the lower gears of the previous gen is just gone. Honestly the new one was somewhat of a let down.
Who in their right mind is buying this bike and saying thank god they put a speed limiter -_- how bout the comfort seat from the factory and the taller sport windscreen at an 18K+ price point for a naked !
GREAT BIKE. I'm looking hard towards 2025... Will Yama-Mama CHANGE THAT UGLY NOSE.. and also give us DUAL low-beam headlights? This is a safety issue in the US, as well as a big aesthetic problem.

How many miles (range) were you getting on a tank before you filled up?
i have a 2023 mt-10 sp and im in love --- i still have not exhausted it yet -- put 4000 miles on it last summer

Remember when the Kz 1000 came out? Yeah, those days.
refreshing, no-nonsense biker talk. got me glued til the end. amazing work! thank you for this
Thanks for watching! 😊
Great review. I would have bought one if it didn’t have such a hideous insect looking front end. One of the best sounding engines out there today.

But you're right, it's ugly as hell 😂😂
@@frankfeng6199 thats a great point, you don’t see the front when riding. I’ve owned 2 Tuono’s and they do it all and look good too!

sooking about a headlight Assembly aha get a grip boys
Upgrade the break pads to track / road...
I have had one a year and it does everything really good . Flashed ECU and Akra exhaust and it's 🎉🎉r💯😎❤️🤪
I miss the looks of the previous generation :/ That headlight looks like it belongs to another bike. Superb production on this review though!
Great review !👍
Great review. Effortlessly cutting out all BS info and keeping it real.

Yeah I caught that too.

With a windshield, it wouldn't be naked anymore. Haha
It would be cool if they gave it the comfort seat and the actual Brembo calipers.

Have you tried throwing some tea in the harbor?

Is it suitable for a rider that is 188 cm tall ?
Absolutely
I'm 188cm (6'2") and I have a 22 mt10sp. It's fantastic, one of the most comfortable (sport) bikes I've had
Does it have electronic steering damper ?
I ride with my brights on during the day... and low beam at night. For common sense reasons

Automatic
It’s a fun bike, even in regular form. I just didn’t like gold or silver…I’m different. 👍🤪🏳️🌈
Sales pitch, thats all!
omg shut it and just ride the thing.
It's a review. lol
That front end🤮 ugliest headlights ever. Bloody shame can't fault anything else
Don’t know why this review referred to the MT10SP having carburettors (soon after the 8min mark), it’s always been fuel injected. 😂
It was a figure of speech
