Not even the country rap, the pop country is the worst, or the finger snap beat and only being able to talk about trucks and making “love” by a river/lake/creek.

I was pulling out of a rest stop on I 40 between Nashville and Memphis when I first heard this. I had to pull back into the parking spot and just listen. Thank you King George! Every once in awhile a gem will still come out of Nashville...and this is one of them.

We have been a huge fan since Unwound and Amarillo By Morning. In the mid 90s, George was playing in St. Louis on my son's birthday. It just so happened we were going to Shriners Hospital for son's appointments. George is my son and my favorite. I had no credit card in 1994 and no way of getting tickets 300 miles away. I wrote George's fan club and asked if I could reserve 3 tickets and pay when we arrived at the Kiel Center where George and Teri Clark were performing. I sent a pic of my son with his cowboy hat on and explained that he has cerebral palsy. They responded and said we could pick up tickets at pay booth out front. We get there and were told that George wanted us to have 4 tickets and no charge......Complimentary Tickets. I tried paying and was not allowed. Our intention was to only have them reserved. But I knew then what an awesome man George is. A few years later, we lost our oldest daughter in an automobile accident. I know George has been and is going through the same life obstacles we go through. I respect this man so much for staying so private and giving the fans what they want......Pure Country !!!

No wonder he's still king, you know I don't go to church nor have I ever read the bible but I found God in country music, i went to church over Christmas and the vicar said you don't always find god in a church, god isn't in rhe bible god is with you, and he appears anywhere you might find him personally, i was going through tough time, with my farm I lost my uncle who was like my dad, i lost my girlfriend of several years, plus I lost one of my best friends because I kissed her when I was having my breakdown over my uncle, I turned too whisky i wanted to do away with my self, i found God in country music, once i found God i found peace love faith, hope and forgiveness I owe my life to Alan jackson the older i get Brooks and Dunn peace love and Country music song and a song from cody johnson thank god I'm not that tough, and many other country gospel songs too this song defined hiw i found God in country music.

I Can't believe that time has passed so quickly since this song was first released. 3 months ago I was worrying about my college grades and now that I've passed and graduated from my community college I'm just left thinking about how quickly time passes by and how I need to start appreciating the beauty of this life.
He still sounds this good when he is on the uphill way to 70..... WOW
