I've always been so self conscious of my neck and profile - I'm kinda round and I don't have that whole 'cut jaw' look. I was so worried but I did it anyway . I love it but sometimes I catch myself in the mirror or in photos and think 'omg I'm so fat!!' and I hate that about myself. I want to just BE. Every single photo and video of people shaving their heads are so thin!
Everyone should do this. I’ve noticed that as soon as someone has all their hair cut off, they become full of confidence and shine brighter. You look amazing!

Aww! I finally just said “the heck with what other people may think!” And did it! I encourage you to do the same if it is what you really want! It is so cathartic to have such a drastic change. And honestly I love the length it is now a few months later. I’m enjoying the new ways I can style it and change up my look. I also love just throwing a hat over it when I am too lazy to wet it and style it in the mornings! Lol

This brought tears to my eyes. Pure joy. I am plus size and really want to get rid of my hair. I live in Phoenix and its 115°F and I am 8 months pregnant. Lol I am dying! I used to play with wigs and extensions and all kinds of fun. Would love to buzz it all off, start fresh (no more damaged hair) and play in wigs when I feel like it. Thanks for the encouragement!! I didn't shave it yet.. waiting until after baby gets here, but I did go for a super short pixie cut last night to get me used to the idea! Like I can’t get it to stand up and in that area or the areas around it to lie flat. The struggle!! Lol

I stood in the bathroom last night crying wanting to shave mine. Ive wanted to do it for years, and I have both sides and underneath shaved. But doing the whole thing is so scary. I hate feeling like its not as acceptable for women who aren't super thin to shave their heads. I'm also not into how as women we're told that our hair holds more beauty than the rest of us. Like we need it to be attractive and thats just am awful way to feel. I think you look beautiful and I was so happy to see how it turned out. Maybe one day I'll be able to do it and just go for it. 💜

I use to have a very short pixie cut. About the same maybe a bit longer than yours, I want to buzz cut my hair, maybe a tad bit shorter than yours. My mom straight up says not to because it makes my face look fat

please don't. I did it and instant regret followed along with months of hiding my head with wigs and hats until it got long enough to be a pixie. I'd never do it again. Take this with a grain of salt because I did not look cute shaved but you might

ty for this video: i needed this representation. im plus size too and i got a buzzcut yesterday. i however have very thin hair and some slight bald spots (alopecia) so i was soooo insecure/scared about showing off this vulnerability, but i always wanted to shave my head. and yes i definitely hid behind my hair too, it's like a curtain of security and protection almost. your hair is very thick so it's not as baldy looking as mine, but im still glad i did it just so that i finally know what it's like. it does give me a bit of anxiety but i hope I'll get used to it and grow a little more confident with this new look in the upcoming weeks. but just one day in and i already wonder how fast it will grow back and every time i see myself in the mirror, im genuinely shocked. irl it looks better than in pictures imo, but i still catch myself thinking that it does accentuates my fatness/roundness in a negative way. but that is 100% internalized fatphobia and im aware of that. i kind of want to dress more androgynous now and feel actually more stylish (since it's so in fashion rn) but then i remember that most of the stylish buzzcut ladies r usually very skinny and it makes me insecure again, so it's a push-and-pull situation for sure. very torn abt it in general but right after i did it i was excited and i think just for that experience alone it was worth it

You look beautiful! Earrings look wonderful with real short hair too. I'm 65 and fluffy. Hair stylists always tell me I should do layers in the front to hide the double shin and roundness. I really can't stand that style which has been around way too long. Now if only I could afford the frequent hair appts. that go along with short hair. 8>(

please don't. I did it and instant regret followed along with months of hiding my head with wigs and hats until it got long enough to be a pixie. I'd never do it again. Take this with a grain of salt because I did not look cute shaved but you might

I've been thinking about it for so long, I've been going shorter and shorter for years now, but I never felt brave enough to make the leap, mostly because I only saw examples on thin women, and being plus size myself I was and still am so unsure... but seeing you going through with it (and it looks so good on you!) ty for this video: i needed this representation. im plus size too and i got a buzzcut yesterday. i however have very thin hair and some slight bald spots (alopecia) so i was soooo insecure/scared about showing off this vulnerability, but i always wanted to shave my head. and yes i definitely hid behind my hair too, it's like a curtain of security and protection almost. your hair is very thick so it's not as baldy looking as mine, but im still glad i did it just so that i finally know what it's like. it does give me a bit of anxiety but i hope I'll get used to it and grow a little more confident with this new look in the upcoming weeks. but just one day in and i already wonder how fast it will grow back and every time i see myself in the mirror, im genuinely shocked. irl it looks better than in pictures imo, but i still catch myself thinking that it does accentuates my fatness/roundness in a negative way. but that is 100% internalized fatphobia and im aware of that. i kind of want to dress more androgynous now and feel actually more stylish (since it's so in fashion rn) but then i remember that most of the stylish buzzcut ladies r usually very skinny and it makes me insecure again, so it's a push-and-pull situation for sure. very torn abt it in general but right after i did it i was excited and i think just for that experience alone it was worth it
I think it looks great, I have wanted to cut my hair like p!nk for so long and I'm finally going through with it and as a plus size woman everyone is always telling you not to I'm going to go through with it weather people like it or not
Do it! All that matters is your happiness with it! Plus if you end up not liking it - hair grows back! :)
You look beautiful! Earrings look wonderful with real short hair too. I'm 65 and fluffy. Hair stylists always tell me I should do layers in the front to hide the double shin and roundness. I really can't stand that style which has been around way too long. Now if only I could afford the frequent hair appts. that go along with short hair. 8>(

It’s my head but the idea that I’ll have to explain that to every single person I know is such a pain that I feel tired just thinking about it. I really want to shave my head im 13 and im plus size and my hair is curly so if i dont brush it, it becomes a mess but my parents said no and my dad even said that it wont suit me because im so big, it upset me alot i wanna start fresh because my life hasn't started off the way i wanted it to.
