Welcome back to my channel! Are you thinking about getting a buzzcut? Are you worried and have some unanswered questions? Well I have all the answers for you! In this video I have compiled a Pro's & Con's List to having a buzzcut.

I have a buzzcut and I've always had very short hair. The only 'con' that kinda bothers me (it doesn't really bother me, it bothers me how often it happens) is that everyone seems to make assumptions about my sexuality or gender, lots of people talk to me in gender neutral terms and I don't correct them cos there's nothing wrong with that
Emma B I get the exact same thing, I often get chatted up by women in bars. I take it as a compliment but you are allowed to correct them. You shouldn’t feel bad. It’s still a stereotype and it’s your right to correct them if you are ever uncomfortable or get tired of it! Sending love x

I've had a buzzcut twice and am seriously debating doing it again. I feel more confident with it shaved. Best thing I ever did. The only thing that bothers me is people assume if you have a shaved head you're a lesbian, but that's their issue, I don't care
As a 68-yr-old woman I have been successful with buzz cuts and variations of it. No one is rude and public encounters are very positive. My hair is fine and a nice grey with tonal vibes. If it gets too long it ages me, body disappears, and it doesn’t hold a style. After years of a love-hate relationship with my hair, I’m happily keeping it in a buzzed bowl. It’s an instant facelift! I feel badass. You, my dear, have a beautiful face so the ear-thing is not to worry about. You look wonderful.

Agree. I just buzzed mine 5 days ago and it feels amazing, plus I'm less bothered by people now xD
yes us barbers charge much less i charge £7.50 and the girls who come now to my barbershop used to pay £35+ for a clipper buzz . i also give a discount for girls who revisit every 10-15 days for a reshave . ok i am no frills military type old barbershop (i am 70 yrs old ) but you get it cut properly in a barbershop because that is our style really short !

I’ve been feeling “the call” from my soul to do the shave as the ultimate “unveiling”…embracing the RAW, REAL me, as part of my ongoing journey of self improvement and as a graceful gesture of total acceptance of my body as I’m seeing aging happening as I near my 51st birthday. I plan to do the shave on New Years Day and have my photographer daughter photograph and video the emotion of the process! I’m new to your channel…both my ears stick out. I just got my first short pixie ever at 38 years old and oh my gosh it really is the most liberating feeling ever! I’m looking forward to shaving it in the future now. I can’t believe I was ever anxious about having my hair this short before. I have more confidence now than I ever have! And the constant compliments! Just wow!
My ears stick out too. I also buzz and it is indeed liberating. My drawbacks are some stubborn cowlicks. Now I leave the top in a bowl shape. Our ears give a unique look to this cut which make it cute.
Thank you so much for this video. I have been rocking a shaved head for 3 years now. I definitely relate to the con regarding having to dye it constantly. I will be 50 in 2 weeks and decided to go all natural and am embracing my salt and pepper! I recently picked out a pair of new glasses that will really compliment the new salt and pepper look. I also can relate to the con of dealing with other's comments. Although, people that really know me, don't even notice the short hair...just my smile. I work at a an assisted living facility and you would be shocked at how accepting the older people have been with the short hair! I have one woman that would constantly compliment me on the beautiful shape of my skull...lol! I can't begin to be able to express the FREEDOM that I have found with this new hair style. I have also become so much more confident with who I am. Thanks, again, for the video. You are beautiful!
I've always had big, long, curly hair. It's been a part of my identity all of my life and I recently caught the buzz cut bug. I'm seriously considering it and this video was very helpful. It's as if you were speaking directly to me. Thank you for sharing!🙏

I shaved my head bald in September 29 of 2022 bc of trich and i have videos of my journey on my channel. it was the best decision, i'm so glad i did it, i wish i did it sooner. i feel so liberated and empowered, it was truly life changing! plus, wigs are great and so fun if you choose to wear them. you can switch up your looks easily without damaging your real hair. I don’t plan on dying my hair ever again and keeping it virgin all the way.. ugh... the beauty of going bald and giving yourself that reset that you didn't know you needed.

I buzzed my hair from a pixie cut. 6 weeks ago. I love it. You are right it is kinda high maintenance with regular cutting. I'm natural grey so no dying. Good bye curls hello buzz cut. Ps I'm old too lol.

In the winter, since I love hats, I quickly realised with my buzz undercut, & slightly longer on top- which I bleach, colour, and do it all myself). To be able to still wear hats, without looking odd. I started wearing headscarf (any scarf really) or a du-rag, twisted into side knot at the back(slightly to the side) and I can still wear bakerboy hats, or trilby & look super stylish!! & Warm in winter.💞

I can totally identify with the comments (mostly from men!), but I love the fact that I’m different and don’t fit the stereotype of “how a woman should look!” I’ve had my homemade buzz cut for a few months now and am thinking about bleaching it (but not sure now after you said about having to cut and bleach every 2 weeks 😱

I have long hair and its very thick, it gets very frizzy and tagleged easliy, my hair length is to my thighs, it is very heavy and people always tell me how beutiful it is and to never cut it, i have never cut or dyed my hair, i want to, i have always had long hair and thinking about cutting it makes me happy and makes me think about how free my head would feel, but then i think again and relize that people would judge me and i would not be able to style my hair or feel the feeling of my hair on my head, i would feel like something is missing, i would be sad for weeks or even months or years, i have depression. I cant take care of my long hair, its thinnig out slowly, most the time i just put it in a bun to avoid brushing it, it is damaged from heat, i hate brushing out my tangles. It hurts my arms and it makes me stressed out, i dont know what to do im 13 years old and i just feel so alone right now but i have hope. 🙁
You should totally do it if you haven’t already! You could donate it, and if you have been able to grow your hair so long already at 13 years old, you can grow it out again rather quickly:)
no one is ever ready to take the plunge just do it and be happy 22 years for me and my sister shaved her head no regret
Making a big change is always a big deal. I think you should do the buzz for your health if nothing else. I also have depression and getting regular buzz cuts is a big lift to my spirits. You could start by getting bobs and gradually get shorter too. You are so young and smart. I am 68 and don’t give a flip what others think. Do whatever makes your life easier and lighter.
I gave myself an undercut with short top years ago and loved it BUT i noticed the big mole on my ear every day. I still hate it and it's the only thing which has stopped me getting rid of my hair again. It's literally that disturbing for me. But this video could be helping me to rationalise it. Thank you
I buzzed my hair two years ago and it never grew back honest! Went to dermatologist and found out I have alopecia all the sudden. Now I have to spend thousands on wigs….think before you buzz especially if you are older.

That's how I know when to cut. I've had a bad habit of going too long between cuts before I started bleaching.
I don't agree with the cost of short hair and color, you don't need to color it that often. Some people like the blond tips or colored tips with their natural color. It's a preference. I've always had short hair, and as far as Society goes, change doesn't happen without the people who set the new standard! I won't change for anyone! I get a ton of compliments on my buzz cut all the time.
For a first-time buzzcut, with someone who’s a bit nervous, would you recommend starting right down the middle and taking the top off first?
ZimZimmer2010 it’s entirely up to you how you cut it, whether you start at the top or the bottom. But make sure you use a large guard like an 8 so that it’s longer and then you can go over it again and go shorter if you wanted too! Better to start longer than to go super short and hate it! Hope that helps xx

Easy pro buy a pair of clippers. To keep same length or shorter cut 1 time a week. So 5-10 minutes once a week. I believe bald is sexy and beautiful. Shows confidence and inner strength. Just be you!! Hell with the rest.
