I remember singing in the 'folk group' in the Church and thought it was great. I went to Mass every Sunday without fail. Then they introduced the Holy Eucharist on the hand and i was horrified and could not understand how anyone would feel it was ok to handle Christ in such a manner. I do believe it was the beginning of my turning away from the New Mass. Then they introduced communal confession at the Altar and again i could not understand how people could confess their sins honestly when they would think others might hear what they are saying. Again i was horrified. Thankfully that practice did not last very long. The damage was done and i eventually stopped going to Mass altogether. It broke my heart as i was left in limbo. It was one time that i asked Christ to bring me back to him and the Mass but that i could not go to the New Mass as i felt it did not show the respect to him that it should. I remember being on my Computer one day and i came across the Latin Mass and i said to myself that i remembered that when i was a child. I found out where there was a latin Mass in my Community and i went One Sunday Morning. I walked in to the Church and my heart jumped in my body. I was very emotional and i saw that they did confession and i went in to the confessional. I had not gotten confession in so long and i was overwhelmed and i cried while in there. (I think the Priest thought i was mad). I took part in the Latin Mass that day and every Sunday following that. I had to learn everything again but the Gregorian Chant it is a tonic for the Soul. I thank God for showing me the way to what i believe he also Loves. As i said in my previous post about the Dominican Mass, if they had changed the Latin Mass to how the Dominicans are saying the Mass now, I believe people would not have run away. I don't go to an SSPX Mass, i go to a parish Church where the Bishop allows the Latin Mass to be retained. Viva Christo Rey
