The rugged beauty of the Badlands draws visitors from around the world. These striking geologic deposits contain one of the world’s richest fossil beds. Ancient horses and rhinos once roamed here. The park’s 244,000 acres protect an expanse of mixed-grass prairie where bison, bighorn sheep, prairie dogs, and black-footed ferrets live today.

Roberts Prairie Dog Town
This stop provides a perfect view of the largest prairie-dog town in the accessible areas of Badlands National Park. Other than the mounds of dirt where the prairie dogs have made their homes, the first thing you will likely notice is the high-pitched squeaks and noises coming from the Prairie dogs.
Significance: Prairie dogs provide habitat for approximately 200 animal and plant species, so keep your eyes open for other wildlife at this pulloff. This stop provides a perfect view of the largest prairie-dog town in the accessible areas of Badlands National Park.
😊❤😘
very nice view
It really is!
I try to explain to people when they're looking at a picture that I sent them that what they're seeing in the picture pales in comparison to what I saw with my eyes. They don't understand that they have to see it for themselves to fully appreciate it. There have been times when I've had to pull over because what I was seeing was so beautiful that I couldn't drive because of the tears. God is amazing beyond words.
So very true, my friend
What a beautiful drive😊💕
Thank you
That scenery was absolutely beautiful, and those birds nest sure were interesting. I have always heard that the Badlands were beautiful but only have never been there. Thank you you for sharing them with me and taking me there. Thanks for the excellent video, Blondie.

@cammybarrs7114 thank you
I enjoyed this video. One thing is, a disabled veteran doesn't have to pay a national park fee because he's covered for being a disabled veteran. That includes parking passes in the Smokies.
Thank you,and thank you for your service 🇺🇲
