The biggest problem with these is the over size driveshafts.. they require us to build the diffs to a weight.. rotation mass. But those heavier shafts throw the whole diff weight out the window..

Pretty good all-around buggy for bashing or racing. Use one for my local club races and got good results last season. It's basically an over built Durango DEX8, so it has racing roots. My only complaint is it's a bit on the heavy side for a race buggy. There are heavy-duty m4 shock standoffs available, but you must drill out the shock towers and will lose some adjustability. Nice video, thanks for sharing!

Have two of these and broke the same front Stand-offs on the first run of both...Def should be re-engineered.

Did you do anything to the diff's or shock oils? And any setup things like pills of setup?

No I ran it stock. I am testing a Serpent now, the stock servo has to go but the rest of the car straight out of the box is really good. I'm going g to do some Teo and ride height setup this week ND see how she runs on the indoor track.

I'd race it ,not to bash it, no fun in bashing, just race it and have fun .

I have been able to compare the serpent and the tlr tuned typhon with my Tekno eb48 2.0 I have to say for a race rig the Tekno is well rounded the Typhon is strong and well balanced easy to drive and with the exception of those front shock standoffs it has been indestructible. The Serpent is light and nimble very fun to drive on a smooth track.
