I've always wondered about Fidelity being a private company. She made some interesting points though. Why go public if you don't need the money? Why change the focus of long term investing to todays typical....beat the quarter estimate. I also like how the employees are owners in the company.
She can also cover up for their brutal violent child abuser William Danoff who single-handedly manages the most money on Wall Street. He remains largely unknown in the investment community as Barrons magazine points out, and has a smiley face collection.
My life changed too when I started doing this and putting money in stocks. The first few years it as really great, but this year I haven't felt like my portfolio is doing well. I have lost more than $40,000 from my portfolio the past four months, and it's now very worrisome.

Being public ruins companies. Short term thinking.

Wouldn't put my money in Fidleity.
why is that?
I'm very hesitant.
I have money with Fidelity. No issues. They’ve also managed my 401k at a prior job.
Too bad people during the great depression thought otherwise.
