I watched The Legend Of Boggy Creek docu/film waaaaaay back in the early 80s I was probably about 9 or 10 at the time and it was hidden away on BBC2 one Friday night here in the UK, I remember it was a Friday as I was allowed to stay up late. I was interested in Myths and Legends and had a few books I'd got from the school book club, so gave Boggy Creek a go. It is literally the only film that has stayed with me all these years later, to this day I remember every scene and how it made me feel, it wasn't even that well made, but for a 9-10 year old it scared me to death 😀 Maybe 15 years later I got a job with the Forestry Commission and was in charge of a part of a Larch wood of about 200 acres on a side of a hill, even then as a 25 year old when I was alone in a wild part of the wood where there were no bridle ways and paths, with just tall Larch trees swaying in the wind and ferns on the ground that bloody film would come back into my head and my mind would play tricks on me and I'd think I saw something peeping from behind a tree in the distance or a shadow would move, I must have tipped over at least two quad bikes getting out of those areas. I look back now and find it funny, but It would probably have the same affect on me now 😀 Damn film.....And now I'm gonna watch this, I never learn 🙂

I had first seen the film around the same time, in the early 80s and I was also around 10 years old. However I was born and raised in Arkansas but move in Virginia when I was a teen.
Nowhere near Faulk county however I spent plenty of time in the outdoors hunting and fishing in big bottom lands just like boggy creek area. I heard stories growing up from family members about man like creatures. My whole family grew up in the deep woods and I 100% know that spooky feeling when your all alone in a big forest and here foot steps and screams. HAHAHA!! Yeah what I movie it was for a child to see!. . I don't doubt there is things out there then and right now.

In January 2008, in rural Williamson County, TN. I witnessed the most terrifying experience of my life. It was about 8 pm at night, and I had stepped out on the front porch of a friend's house to smoke. The porch light was just above my left shoulder and illuminated the porch and part of the yard. I had just lit my cigarette when my friends dog became very agitated and began to growl and bark at something just across the road toward the darkness of the woods about 40 yards from where I was standing. I began to scan the darkness in the direction the dog was focused on. At that moment, two eyes appeared from the darkness, and I immediately knew what I was looking at wasn't human. I couldn't see anything but the eyes at least 8 feet high. The eyes panned from side to side, blinked, and at times would just stare straight at me. The dog continued to sort freak out, but she refused to leave the vicinity of the porch. I was honestly terrified at whatever this thing was. The eyes were there for probably close to 10 minutes before it just disappeared. At that point, the dog climbed under the porch and refused to come out, and I ran in the house and fell into a mild state of shock. I broke down and cried that night. I've never been the same since. I've shared my experience with a number of people, including the BFRO. Believe me or not, I don't care. I know that my friends dog and I witnessed something horrifying that night.

My friends and I went out in the woods on a snowy day and found humongous footprints. We wanted to make a cast of it but back in the 70's and being kids we had no idea how to. I grew up in east Texas in a little town called Golden which is about ten miles from Mineola Texas. Golden Texas isn't very far from the Sabine river. In 1987 when I was 15 years old I was with my friend Mark and we walked right up on a skunk ape. We were within 20 feet of it and I'll never forget the details of it for as long as I live. If you'd like to hear the full encounter of it I have it on my TH-cam channel. I'd appreciate it if you would give it a watch. These things are out there and they're absolutely real. Had a strange encounter here in Los Angeles a few years ago, can't quite say it was definitely a Bigfoot because I didn't see it (was pitch black at about 3Am; in the woods up near Angeles Crest). Whatever it was it sounded like it weighed about a ton and was maybe 10-15 feet from me but I never saw it. I also never went back after my friend sent me an article about two separate Bigfoot sightings that happened in the same area several years earlier.

Great video! Seth Breedlove and the Small Town Monsters Team are experts at making these wonderful documentary videos. I liken him to the Steven Spielberg of the paranormal and cryptozoological research. When I was little, I saw The Legend of Boggy Creek with my family at the drive-in theater, in a small town, just outside of Little Rock, where I was born and raised. I hid behind my Dad's driver seat because I was scared. The moaning sounds, croaking frogs and the scream of the monster was terrifying. The scene where Bobby Ford is attacked and goes through the front door sent me back behind my Dad's seat. I think my Dad (RIP) would have loved all of STM videos as he was very much into these sorts of things, as well as loving being out in the Nature. Many, many years later after seeing this movie, I watched it when it was uploaded to TH-cam, and that was about 13 years ago. It was of poor quality and has since been taken down. I was able to purchase a DVD copy of the better quality version of the movie and have enjoyed watching it periodically. Thank you for the video. Take care and be safe in your travels and adventures. 😊💖🙏🏻

Oh my goodness I looked it up at my grandpa’s farm was only 63 miles from this location which makes it even more fascinating to me it’s so exciting to be able to look at this and see this and know that this is where the location was it makes it much more clear to me to know that that’s why we were really in the mix of it out on his farm

My mother was born and raised in southeast Texas, Jackson County, first generation USA born citizen on her mother's side. She told us that while she was growing up, there was a legend of a wild hairy man that would come to homes for food. If food was left out, the home and occupants were left alone. If no food was left out, the hairy man would harass the people of the home.
She said people claimed to have seen the hairy man. She believed the stories. Similar to the Boggy Creek monster.
Small Town Monsters is the best Sasquatch research and documentation. Very professional, level headed, calm.
Thank you for your hard work.

My mom walked up to it when she was 10, it was dark out and they were catching fireflies her and her brother. He didn't touch her, she always called it, that thing with the glowing red eyes. (Arkansas, cica 60s)

A CLASSIC…..it was so well done to be regular folk playing the roles and the balance of docu-drama with the narration. Lightning in a bottle never has worked out as well as the LENGEND OF BOGGY CREEK formula for other movies. The sequels were a big fail. I remember falling off the arm of the couch when that hairy arm came through the window. I was around 7 years old the couch was one of those old 60s type with a real wide arm rest on both ends. 😁 nostalgia
I didn’t get to see it at the drive -in I watched it on regular antenna tv when they released it for television.
