thank you for this. I got the challenger because I liked the looks, not realizing it was a drift setup (odd choice by kyosho tbh but funny as I am just now looking to getting into drifting) and was about to try to install the gyro. This was a big help

They don’t come pre installed you will have to buy one for it

For some reason there's no light buckets on this car, kinda disappointing as all others seem to have included buckets, just remove the hot glue and glue in light, could be modified but I wouldn't wanna screw up the external veiw

Yup this one works. Not listed to but does. Heck this Gyro wasn’t even listed to work on this car Or came with instructions LOL
Was it easy to drift a stock mini z on the foam track? Thinking of putting one in my basement to drift on

Not RWD no. That chassis does not have enough steering. Check out the drz v2 from atomic. We have a few videos on it

No. Should be crisp. Mini z’s are top quality, I’d contact them

So it says its ready to drift, but you still need a gyro?
You don’t need one at all no. For our RWD drift cars we have to run the gyros but for all wheel drive it’s preference

gyro is not for drift, it is help for racing. 4wd drift do not need that.
Drifting and gyros go hand and hand though. Gyros are banned in mini z racing around here

@@ProNoobRC I meant hard plastic tires, and the surface should be more slippery as well, to make it look more realistic and true to scale (real cars don’t have that much grip, acceleration and deceleration)
Yeah the track is not good for drifting but a fun challenge. Gotta build a decent 1/28 drift track this winter for sure
